[September 28, 2026] VRChat Trending Snapshot — This Week's Fastest-Rising on Booth

Every week, this "Trending Snapshot" captures the newest Booth releases pulling in likes the fastest, ranked by how quickly those likes pile up. When something climbs this fast, there's always a reason behind it — and reading that reason from both the work itself and the way it was released is what this weekly report is for. It's written for creators, to send you home with a hint for your next project.

The September 28, 2026 issue (measured September 28) is led by a gothic dress with a ribcage across the chest and roses around the hem. At the measurement date it had 10,113 likes. Let's start there.

🔎 About this article This is a quick digest of the new releases a lot of people are watching right now. It lists items released on Booth within the last three months with 300+ likes, ordered by how fast those likes accumulate (likes ÷ days since release; measured 2026-09-28). Rankings shift a lot depending on when VRCFinder collects data, so treat them as a rough guide. Like counts, giveaways, and sales are all snapshots from the measurement date — use this as a window onto what's new and talked-about.

A video version of this report (Japanese narration)

This Week's Top 10

This is a momentum ranking — likes at the measurement date divided by days since release. It isn't ordered by total likes, so something published only days ago can sit near the top.

#1: GothicBoneDress 2.0+ / Ameli3

10,113 likes four days after its page was republished on September 24. A gothic dress in white and black, built on bones and roses. The page has run continuously since the first version went out as a limited free release in November 2025, so the like count carries everything gathered back then. Ameli3 added color variations and more supported avatars, and began selling it permanently as "2.0+" on September 25.

The chest is designed as a raised ribcage, with a spine running down the back. Roses circle the hem of the layered frills, and pointed star ornaments hang from the sides of the skirt. The shoes carry red ribbons and scissor charms. Beyond white and black, the colorways pair black with red, black with purple, white with blue and white with pink.

Recoloring comes with its own premise: no PSD is included — colors change through mask textures and material settings. Chest resizing and jiggle are left out on purpose, to keep the design looking right. It runs to roughly 85,400 polygons, and support covers Manuka, Shinano, Milltina, Rurune, Mayo, Kaguya and 12 avatars in all, with Mayo and Kaguya added in this 2.0+.

List price is ¥1,800 for FullSet 2.0+ and ¥2,000 for a support version that adds a thank-you message; at the measurement date the second launch sale had it at ¥1,400 through September 30. The rose headdress it pairs with is sold separately — and it took the same route, from limited free releases to a permanent "2.0+," before leading the April 2026 accessory report.

#2: Luminous China / Nishikaze Gakudan

6,910 likes three days in. A classic cheongsam in red and black with gold floral embroidery. Published by Nishikaze Gakudan.

The side slits run up close to the hip, and long arm covers trimmed with white fur at the wrists go with it. It's 18,334 polygons, and the chest isn't driven by shape keys — it's fitted to each avatar's default shape.

It moved quickly once the page went up: Eku and Milfy were added on release day, Sio the next day, and by the measurement date decorative items and a texture-quality update had landed too. Support covers Kaguya, Rurune, Mizuki, Chocolat, Chiffon, Plum, Lime, Sio, Eku and Milfy — ten avatars. List price is ¥1,200, at a ¥600 release sale on the measurement date.

#3: Tocolo / Bambi no Choujou

4,929 likes two days in. A tool that recolors your avatar when you simply click the spot you want to change in Unity. A new release from Bambi no Choujou, the creator behind the popular tool "TexColorAdjuster."

Recoloring part of an outfit normally means opening the texture in an image editor, checking the UV layout while you repaint, and bringing it back into Unity. Tocolo does it entirely inside the Scene view. Click where you want to change, pick a color from the wheel, a color code or the eyedropper, and you never have to think about UVs, textures or materials.

Selection works three ways: by "part" (a connected UV island), by "same color," or by "similar color." Threshold and blur tighten the edges, and a single edit can match colors across materials. Move the box that appears in the Scene and a two-color gradient runs along that direction and range. It's all non-destructive through NDMF, so the original textures and materials stay untouched.

The permanent trial edition is free and covers editing and previewing in the Scene. Applying edits on upload and baking them into textures are Pro features, and at the measurement date the Pro edition was free as a launch offer through 23:59 on September 28 (a development-support edition with identical contents lists at ¥500).

#4: CANDY POP DINER / Tempas Ohmori

5,228 likes three days in. An American diner crew on roller skates, built as a matching pair for masculine and feminine avatars. A new release from Tempas Ohmori, the creator behind the popular outfit "Honmei Knit."

A striped uniform comes with a headset mic, a sun visor and a name tag; the feminine side adds a frilled checkerboard skirt and apron, the masculine side shorts with a chain at the hip. Both wear roller skates, and the toe stops differ — a heart on the women's version, a standard stop on the men's.

The tray carries a burger with fries, and the shakes come in nine flavors. Toggling the tray is left to you, with steps included for attaching it to a hand through Modular Avatar's Bone Proxy. The uniforms come in twelve colors for each side, and the visors in two families, vivid and pastel.

It supports 25 avatars: the women's design is built for Shinano, Manuka, Airi, Milltina, Shinra, Mayo and more, the men's for Minase, Komano, Hanka and Alué, and Mamefriends can take either. List price is ¥2,000 for one avatar and ¥3,800 for the full set, with a launch sale through October 9 at the measurement date.

#5: Yumeka / Arka_X

22,380 likes nineteen days in. A free original avatar with small black wings at her back. I covered it in full at #2 in the September 21 issue; it had 21,472 likes twelve days in then, and is at 22,380 in its third week, still the most-liked item among the thirty.

#6: Protocol Lapse / CYCR

3,202 likes three days in. A white bustier cinched with layers of belts, with long black panels falling to the hem — a gothic outfit with a hairstyle included. A new release from CYCR (Cyber Critter), the creator behind "Scaled Maid," the leader of the September 14 issue.

A cross necklace at the chest, an emblem buckle and chains at the waist, garters and lace stockings on the legs, and tall lace-up boots. The hair is a high ponytail with a braid wrapped around the head, tied with a black ribbon. The colorways are built on black, with variants accented in blue, brown and red.

What stands out on this page is that a ¥0 option called "Breach Edge" sits permanently among the purchase options. It's a greatsword with a cross guard and its scabbard, and the page states that bonus items stay free forever. In the August 31 issue with the curved blade, and in the September 14 issue with the candlestick, CYCR handed out pieces cut from a main outfit on separate pages for limited windows. This time the piece sits inside the same page as the outfit.

The outfit is 209,669 polygons and the hair 18,172. Support covers Shinano, Milltina, Manuka, Mayo, Airi, Kaguya and 20 avatars in all, with a PSD included. List price is ¥1,600 for one outfit, ¥2,900 for the outfit full set, ¥800 for the hair, and ¥3,400 for the full set with hair, with a one-week sale through October 3 at the measurement date. A preview world in VRChat lets you check the fit before buying.

#7: KAIHUA / FOXYPLAY

5,644 likes six days in. A cheongsam scattered with floral embroidery, paired with a fur shawl over the shoulders. A new release from FOXYPLAY, the creator behind the popular outfit "STRYDE."

The dress is cut high at the sides, worn with black stockings and leg belts. A flower ornament and a hairpin go in the hair, and a pearl bracelet on the wrist. The dress comes in eight colors — black, white, light blue, pink, red, green, blue and purple — and the fur shawl in three: black, white and purple, to combine as you like.

Polygon counts are listed part by part, with the dress itself at 25,789. Support covers Shinano, Milltina, Manuka, Kaguya, Mayo, Misaki and 22 avatars in all, with a PSD and a material pack. List price is ¥2,380 for the full pack and ¥1,190 single; at the measurement date the sale prices were ¥790 and ¥690.

#8: Kirameki / RINNETOKYO

11,000 likes twelve days in. A 22-avatar set binding a sailor style and a cheongsam style under one dragon-embroidered jacket. I covered it in full as the leader of the September 21 issue; it had 9,847 likes five days in then, and reached 11,000 in its second week. List price is ¥2,000 single and ¥4,000 for the full pack, and the second-round sale price was still showing at the measurement date.

#9: PipPipMeow / MOMORI

5,238 likes six days in. Long braided hair with animal ears — and a tiny chick sitting on top of the head. A new release from MOMORI, the creator behind the popular hairstyle "Asmodeus."

Ribbons tie off the two braids, a choker with a paw-print charm sits at the neck, and a paw-print pin holds the bangs. The strands at the crown are shaped as a "nest" for the chick, and two kinds of chick come with it to sit there. A tail is included as well.

Polygons come to about 34,605 for the hair, 4,410 for ears and tail, 6,208 for the chick and 9,342 for accessories. Colors run from solids to gradients across three sheets. Support covers Shinano, Plum, Chocolat, Milltina, Manuka, Kaguya and 19 avatars in all, with a PSD and a material pack. List price is ¥900, at a ¥500 sale price on the measurement date (a support version lists at ¥600).

#10: Mirage Wolf Hair / Bonyard

2,378 likes three days in. A soft wolf cut with the nape left long and layers around the face. A new release from Bonyard, the creator behind the popular hairstyle "Bandage Short Hair."

What stands out is how color goes in: three masks come with it — "HairTips" for dyed ends, "InnerColor" for color underneath, and "RootToEnd" for different colors at the roots and the ends. Each mask has a material set up already, so dropping a main color and a second color texture into it builds the combination without ever opening the PSD.

Shape keys move the bangs' length, direction and volume and how the ahoge shows, and per-avatar keys like elf ears stay synced to the base body. A hairpin and piercings come with it, for 14,666 polygons in total. Support covers Airi, Eku, Kaguya, Sio, Shinano, Mayo, Milltina, Lumina and 15 avatars in all. List price is ¥1,000, at a ¥800 release sale through October 4 on the measurement date.

Category Picks (#11–#30)

The Top 10 covered outfits, a tool, an avatar and hairstyles, and #11 through #30 hold more new arrivals. Poko Mesh Editor at #17, HYPERTECH EXO-FRAME at #18, the fallen angel hair at #23, RE.Lunafit at #25, Long Cape Coat at #26 and Asterielm at #29 all carried over from earlier issues, so they sit this one out.

Outfits

Seventeen of the thirty are outfits, six of them already covered in the Top 10. From #11 down I'm taking three that each set their world up differently.

First, one made together with a VRChat event.

Nanome Shop's "Lazy Sailor Cardigan" is #11 (2,651 likes, four days in). A cardigan with a frilled sailor collar, worn over Kipfel's default outfit.

It's a collaboration with "Lazy Kipfel Bar," an event held now and then in VRChat where Kipfels host a laid-back bar, and it was made for that kind of slow, easy time. The sleeves carry big ribbons and the pockets are stuffed with candy and chocolate, in eight colorways. It goes on after hiding the default outfit's vest, and has no shape keys. Normally ¥500, it was in a two-week free giveaway at the measurement date.

Next, one dressed as a creature of the night.

SHOP HEILON's "Vell" is #20 (2,865 likes, six days in). A veiled gothic dress imagined for a small vampire living alone in an old mansion deep in the woods.

The veil drapes nearly to the floor, edged in red lace. Bats and crosses decorate the dress, and she carries a teddy bear with devil horns and wings. It's set up for changing outfits inside VRChat, and there are particles around the head. The colorways run past a dozen — black and red, white, navy, plaid and more. Support includes Manuka, Shinano, Milfy, Rurune, Kaguya and Mayo; list price is ¥3,500 for the full set and ¥1,600 single, with a launch sale through October 5 at the measurement date.

Third, a Japanese-style set with a sword and an oni mask.

MIRAGE's "Ouka no Mai" is #21 (2,934 likes, six days in). A kimono-inspired set with oni horns, a tag-like piece held in the mouth, and long cherry-blossom sleeves.

The props double as actions: grab the hilt to draw the sword, and bring it back to the scabbard with a hand sign on your right hand to sheathe it. The oni mask comes in black and white and toggles from the menu, and the hand lantern switches its inner light on and off. It totals 150,660 polygons across twelve materials. Support covers Shinano, Mayo, Milltina, Milfy, Manuka, Kaguya and 21 avatars in all. The page opened on September 22, with sales starting at 15:00 on September 24. List price is ¥3,990 for the full set and ¥1,800 single, with a launch sale through October 1 at the measurement date.

Hairstyles

Four of the thirty are hairstyles; #9 and #10 are in the Top 10 and #23 carried over. Here's the remaining one.

GLAY Unknown's "Comfy Pony Tail" is #13 (2,056 likes, three days in). Long tails tied high on both sides, with animal ears and black ribbons.

Beyond the length and spread of the tails, shape keys are split per part all the way down to ears, ahoge and clipping prevention. A mask texture comes along for coloring the tips, and there are 25 colors. Support covers Mayo, Kumaly, Manuka, Chocolat, Airi, Shinano, Milltina, Sio and Lumina — nine avatars — at ¥990.

Avatars

Two of the thirty are avatars, and Yumeka at #5 carried over. Here's the other.

Komeji-chan's "Lilfy" is #12 (1,975 likes, three days in). An original avatar of a wolf girl with lapis-blue hair and big ears.

An eared cap, a cropped top printed with a ribcage and a heart, fluffy leg warmers and a thick tail — and she's shown shouldering a big axe. There are 251 shape keys with 13 preset expressions, plus Perfect Sync and MMD support. The PC version is 75,476 polygons, but a Mobile version for Quest and mobile (19,867 polygons, one material) and a VRM version come in the same package, so she looks the same from any platform. Design is by Inuyayo and modeling by Komeji-chan. List price is ¥6,000, at ¥5,500 in a launch sale through October 10 on the measurement date.

Accessories

One of the thirty is an accessory.

Chamm shop's "Ribbon Ribbon Babushka" is #14 (1,786 likes, two days in). A headpiece crossing a babushka with a bonnet, piled with ribbons and frills.

Since it covers most of the twin tails and ears, it's described as a little harder to wear, and in return there are 22 adjustment shape keys. It comes in three patterns — check, argyle and dots — with twelve colors each. Support spans 29 avatars, from taller bodies like Eku, Milfy and Shinano to small ones like Mamehinata and Kipfel, and even the mascot Hamu. It was originally handed out at VketReal as a thank-you to people who answered a survey at the booth; on Booth it's free, with a note asking for survey answers along with the download.

Gimmicks & Tools

Four of the thirty are gimmicks and tools. Tocolo at #3 is in the Top 10 and Poko Mesh Editor at #17 carried over, so here are the other two.

HTRI's "Phantom Talker" is #15 (1,543 likes, two days in). A tool that reads text you write in the air with a pen in VRChat and speaks it aloud.

If you want to talk in VRChat without using your voice, the usual options are typing or writing something out with a pen. Here you write in the air with the right trigger, tap the left grip once to bring up a draft at your hand, and tap it again to have it spoken — loud enough for the people around you. Kanji, hiragana, katakana and alphanumerics all work as written, with no kana-to-kanji conversion. Longer sentences can be split onto "sticky notes" and spoken together. The voice comes from AivisSpeech, a free speech synthesizer, routed into the VRChat mic through VB-CABLE.

It runs on PC VRChat through SteamVR and won't work on standalone Quest. It's a beta, tested only on Quest 3 with Virtual Desktop, and if you want others to see what you wrote, you write with a world pen. The standard version is free, with a ¥500 support version of identical content.

kafka's Atelier's "EyeContactFX" is #27 (2,269 likes, six days in). A gimmick that corrects the direction of the eyes to match the photo camera.

When you take a photo with the VRChat camera, your avatar's gaze doesn't necessarily meet the lens. This gimmick nudges eyes driven by eye bones toward the camera. The only control is an ON/OFF menu toggle; it's off by default in your normal view and always off in mirrors, so it only affects what the camera sees. Strength, up/down/left/right angle limits and the fade width can all be adjusted, and it uses a single synced Bool (1 bit). It's for PC with standard lilToon, free, with a ¥200 "tea money" support version beside it.

Props

One of the thirty is a prop.

Meltique's "Melt Heart Wand" is #28 (1,126 likes, three days in). A small magic wand packed with hearts and ribbons.

A crown sits on a melting heart, bat wings spread to either side, and a small cross dangles below the ribbon. It comes in eight colors: purple, sky, pink, white, blue, red, mint and black. The grip is tuned to Fyuett's "Tulip 2" pose, and other avatars can use it after adjusting the position. It's 10,394 polygons and meant for photos. At the measurement date it was a free giveaway through 23:59 on September 29.

Twenty-two of the thirty are new this issue, and twenty-two were published within the past week. Eight of the Top 10 changed hands, with last issue's leader and runner-up settling into #8 and #5. Outfits take seventeen of the thirty, and three of the six outfits in the Top 10 include a cheongsam.

Keywords: PSD included at seven, and the cheongsam words line up

Top 20 Keywords

Frequency of VRCFinder's own keyword tags — useful for spotting trending tastes and features.

In the keyword tally across the thirty, PSD included leads with seven, followed by free at six, plaid at five, midriff at four and slit at three. Inner color, editor extension, off-shoulder, leg belt, sword draw, for photography, qipao, haori, floral and others sit at two each.

Qipao, floral and slit lining up reflects how thick the cheongsam presence is. Luminous China at #2 and KAIHUA at #7 are both cheongsams with floral embroidery, and Kirameki at #8 binds a sailor uniform and a cheongsam under one jacket. The taste tally shows Chinese style at three as well. The way they opened is a contrast: #2 lists at ¥1,200 but sat at a ¥600 release sale, and #7's full pack lists at ¥2,380 but sat at ¥790 — both were well below list at the measurement date.

Avatar support: Shinano at 20, Chocolat right behind at 19

Top 10 Supported Models

Distribution of supported avatar models.

Shinano draws the most support declarations at 20. After 23 in the September 14 issue and 21 in the September 21 issue, that's three issues running alone at the top. Chocolat is second at 19, up four from 15 last issue. Behind them, Milltina and Milfy sit at 18, Manuka and Rurune at 17, Sio and Mayo at 16, and Eku and Airi at 15.

Chocolat is an avatar that often gets supported together with Chiffon, Plum and Lime from the same creator. This issue again, Protocol Lapse at #6, KAIHUA at #7 and Kirameki at #8 are among those grouping all four into a single purchase option.

Meanwhile, some items were built for specific wearers. CANDY POP DINER at #4 makes a separate men's design for Minase, Komano, Hanka and Alué, and the Lazy Sailor Cardigan at #11 is Kipfel-only. Support is starting to gather around Yumeka at #5 too: in this issue's thirty, the skin material at #16 and RE.Lunafit at #25 both list Yumeka.

Prices: thirteen in the ¥1,000s, sales running into October

Price Distribution

Price bucket distribution for products in this theme during the period.

Thirteen items sit in the ¥1,000–1,999 band, six are free, six fall in ¥500–999, three in ¥2,000–2,999, and one each in ¥1–499 and ¥5,000+. The median is ¥1,195.

The six free items are Yumeka at #5, Ribbon Ribbon Babushka at #14, Phantom Talker at #15, Poko Mesh Editor at #17, EyeContactFX at #27 and Melt Heart Wand at #28. Some items with a list price also had a ¥0 option at the measurement date — Tocolo at #3 (the limited free Pro edition and the permanent trial), Protocol Lapse at #6 (the bonus greatsword), the Lazy Sailor Cardigan at #11 (a two-week giveaway) and VYLOX at #22 (a free version that won't be updated). Put together, ten of the thirty offered something at ¥0.

Looking at what was actually charged at the measurement date, what stands out this issue is launch sales set up to run into October. CANDY POP DINER at #4 runs through October 9, Mirage Wolf Hair at #10 through October 4, Lilfy at #12 through October 10, Vell at #20 through October 5, and S2b at #24 from September 28 through October 11. GothicBoneDress at #1 has announced that its second launch sale through September 30 will be followed by a Halloween sale from October 1 to 31. Prices and sales here are all from the measurement date, and most are time-limited.

A creator's view of how things were released

A trending ranking reflects how something was brought to market as much as the work itself. Here are four repeatable patterns from this week's thirty.

Notes for creators:

  1. Don't let a limited release be the end — bring it back on the same page — GothicBoneDress at #1 took a first version given away for a limited time in November 2025, added color variations and supported avatars to make "2.0+," and switched it to a permanent paid version on the same page. Because the page continued, the likes gathered back then stay with it. The rose headdress followed the same route to permanence in April 2026, which makes this Ameli3's second comeback. Ribbon Ribbon Babushka at #14 is another — handed out at VketReal and now released free on Booth — so two items near the top were works delivered once and delivered again.
  2. Let people try tools at ¥0 — all four gimmicks and tools have a ¥0 option. Tocolo at #3 keeps a permanent trial that covers editing and preview, and Phantom Talker at #15 asks people to first check that the free version runs, then support it if they like it. Poko Mesh Editor at #17 and EyeContactFX at #27 also place a support version with identical contents next to the free one. Whether a tool works depends on each user's setup, so being able to try it first removes one hesitation for the person receiving it.
  3. Keep the bonus permanently on the same page as the main item — Protocol Lapse at #6 lists the "Breach Edge" greatsword as a ¥0 purchase option on the outfit's own page, stating that it stays free forever. With the curved blade in the August 31 issue and the candlestick in the September 14 issue, CYCR handed out pieces cut from a main outfit on separate pages for limited windows. This time there's no deadline, and it sits on the same page. Someone who comes to look at the outfit can take the greatsword home for ¥0 on the spot.
  4. Build it together with a VRChat event — the Lazy Sailor Cardigan at #11 was made as a collaboration with "Lazy Kipfel Bar," an event held now and then in VRChat, narrowed to Kipfel alone and given away free for two weeks. It's the opposite of widening support: building straight for the people who gather at a particular event, and the avatar they use. The product page also links to the event's group, so people who get the outfit can find their way to the event.

Wrap-up

What stood out this issue is that the "new release" at #1 lives on a page that has been running for ten months. The bone-and-rose dress given away for a limited time in November 2025 gained color variations and supported avatars, became "2.0+," and came back as a permanent paid version on the same page. The babushka at #14 was handed out in person at an event and has now been set down again on Booth — the same week showed a work delivered once being delivered again in another form.

A limited giveaway ends, and then it's gone. But polish it and bring it back on the same page, and both the reactions of the people who first picked it up and the likes they left carry straight into the next version. Following the rose headdress, Ameli3 walked the same road with this dress, and I took that as one clear shape for a release that doesn't end after a single run.

  • What "N days" means: age is calculated from VRCFinder's data collection point (the measurement date), not from what the Booth page displays. For items whose page was taken down and republished, age counts from the republishing date (the like count is the page's running total)
  • Rankings are a rough guide: this tally moves a lot with collection timing. It isn't a contest — read it as a way to find the new releases people are watching
  • Listing condition: VRCFinder's database only collects items with 300 or more likes, so anything under that at the measurement date isn't in this tally
  • Prices in the text are the regular list prices confirmed in Booth's purchase options. Items on sale are noted as "on sale at the measurement date"
  • Note: the figures and rankings here are a snapshot from the measurement date and don't reflect later changes. "Released" refers to when the Booth product page went up
  • Giveaway terms, prices and sales are as of the measurement date. Time-limited giveaways and sales may have ended by the time you read this. Check the Booth product page for current information
