Creator Communities

VRChat Creator Communities

For anyone who wants to make things, not just customize them.

Most of the outfits and avatars you find on VRCFinder are made by individual creators. Once you're comfortable customizing and start wanting to make your own outfits, accessories or worlds, try joining a community of people who make things. You can work alongside others inside VRChat and ask about whatever has you stuck in Blender or Unity.

Groups

VRChat Groups to Find Fellow Makers

Co-working groups and meetups run through VRChat's Groups feature. If one catches your eye, start by dropping into its public instance or one of its events.

Why join

Why join a community

Blender and Unity both take a lot of learning, and on your own it's easy to stall halfway. Joining a place where people make things changes that in a few ways.

  1. 01

“You follow the tutorial and still get stuck somewhere”

Ask the moment you get stuck

When Blender or Unity has you stuck, you can show your screen to someone on the same tools and talk it through. Some groups also run beginner lectures and small exercises.

  2. 02

“On your own, projects stall halfway”

    Working together keeps you going

Co-working sessions on set days and times make it easier to build a rhythm. With others working right next to you, it's easier to get back to your own project.

  3. 03

“You don't know anyone who makes things”

Meet people on the making side

Get to know people making outfits, avatars, worlds and more. Show each other your work and swap notes on how you make things.
