About

About the group

3DCG Workshop Very Poor is a VRChat group for people working on anything 3DCG — modeling, avatar customization, Unity and more. Beginners and experienced makers alike hang out in the group's world, each working on their own projects while asking questions and chatting along the way.

The world has tag markers that float above your head showing what you work on (character or environment modeling, VFX, worlds, games and so on) and the logos of the tools you use, which makes it easy to spot people on the same tools or someone who can help. There's also an avatar figure gimmick for checking outfit clipping and gimmick behavior, and a Blender Beginner Room that plays tutorial videos for newcomers.

On top of the regular meetups, the group hosts outfit-making gatherings, Unity lectures and collaboration meetups with other communities.

TUE 22:00

Beginner-friendly work sessions

A circle within the group runs beginner sessions on Tuesdays at 22:00 JST. The idea is simply to get together and work side by side — you can stay quiet or join partway through. Some sessions add a five-minute modeling mini lesson, such as making a pencil, a crescent moon or a pumpkin.
