Here's my look back at the 10 most-liked hairstyles published on Booth in June 2026, data included. Two things stood out this month: halos and the "angel" cluster of head ornaments, and some bold expansion in avatar support.

At the top sits a soft-waved long style pairing animal ears with a halo (8,618 likes). Let's start there and go through the lineup one at a time.

Ranked by like count as of the aggregation date (August 2026), one at a time.

#1: Halo Ring Hair / mochipun

A soft-waved long style with strands falling around the face, paired with animal ears, a thin halo, and wing-shaped hairpins. Small crescent charms sway at the ends. It took the single top spot for June 2026 hairstyles (8,618 likes at aggregation). A new release from mochipun — the creator behind the popular hairstyle Lynn Hair.

What sets this one apart is that it supports 95 avatars. Beyond the regulars like Shinano, Manuka, and Milltina, the list runs from long-standing avatars such as Maiya, Haolan, and Kyoko through to June's newer faces. mochipun has been stacking 40-avatar support lists for a while, and this is that same line pushed up another order of magnitude. The odds that your own avatar is already on the list are simply different here.

The gimmick is restrained but well placed: clench your hand into a fist and the animal ears droop. You can flip between perked-up ears and drooping ones to suit the moment, and the page even explains how to swap it with the idle state if you want them permanently down.

Colors come to 16 — eight light tones in white, pink, and red, and eight dark ones in black, navy, and purple. An editable PSD sits in the texture folder, and setup is just dropping the Prefab under your avatar. The price is ¥500.

#2: Astroid / MOMORI

A medium-to-long style flowing out from a small bun gathered at the side, softly waved through the ends. A thin metal ring and star-shaped ornaments cross above the head for a dreamlike finish. It landed at #2 (5,929 likes at aggregation). A new release from MOMORI — the creator behind Asmodeus, May 2026's top hairstyle.

MOMORI took both first and second place in May, and first and third in April. It's a shop that consistently lands multiple hairstyles in different directions near the top each month, and Astroid is the one that puts its work into what sits above the head.

The split makes that plain: the hair runs about 18,563 polygons and the accessories about 10,844. That's a lot of budget going into the ring and stars relative to the hair itself — a design that decides its impression by the silhouette above the head.

Support covers Shinano, Plum, Chocolat, Milltina and others for 17 avatars. Contents are a Unity Package, a Material Pack, and a PSD for texture editing; the shader is lilToon and setup assumes Modular Avatar. The standard version is ¥900, with an identical support version at ¥1,000.

Loading rabbit and angel motifs onto one hairstyle — two things usually kept apart — is what gives this one its character. The ears, wings, and halo each come in as independent parts, so you decide how much to pile on.

Specs run to △43,840, 25 shape keys, 13 colors, and 17 meshes, with colliders already configured so the sway behaves as shown in the video. Support covers Milltina, Shinano, Manuka, Kumaly and others for 13 avatars, with Kaguya added in July. A single avatar is ¥1,000 and the 13-avatar FullPack is ¥1,300.

The outfit shown on the product page is MariYuri's own swimsuit, Bunny Angel Bikini — hair and outfit released around the same theme.

#4: Honey Gyaru / メイ_May🎔

Long twintails tied high with volume built up at the roots, finished with thick blunt bangs and leopard-print ribbons on each side for a gyaru-leaning silhouette. It landed at #4 (5,337 likes at aggregation).

What stands out here is the release design. It launched with a two-week free distribution window, and the reason given on the product page is that the creator felt there was still room to improve and wanted feedback to work from. That's not a discount announcement — it's free used as a way to gather responses.

Support covers Milltina, Ichigo, Airi, Kumaly, Shinano and others for 20 avatars, with similar body types bundled into single plans — Plum with Chocolat, Chiffon with Lime, and so on. Contents are the hair model FBX, color Prefabs, and materials; the shader is lilToon with Modular Avatar assumed. After the free window closed, individual avatars went to ¥400 and the full set covering all supported avatars to ¥1,100.

#5: Jellyloop hair / #9iwi

A Chinese-inspired style with buns looped beside the ears and thin braids trailing long below. The bangs are blunt, with an inner color streak tucked underneath. It took #5 (4,962 likes at aggregation).

The defining trait is that it was built as a matched pair for men and women from the start. Girl and Boy versions carry the same design, and the pricing splits three ways to match: "Girl Full," "Boy Full," and a FullPack with both. Standing next to a friend, you can share the theme of the hairstyle while the length and tie differ.

Support reaches 27 avatars. Female bases like Shinano, Manuka, Milltina, and Chocolat sit alongside male ones including Komano, Hanka, Minase, Alué, Kanata, Baku, Bokusei, and Kuuta. Some avatars, like Mao, get both a Girl and a Boy version.

Overall hair color moves through lilToon's color adjustment, while the ribbon and hairpin colors change through the included texture file. When you want the hair and ribbon in different colors, the path is there without touching textures. You can also mirror the ear ribbon left-to-right in Unity.

#7: Deer Bloom Long Hair / GLAY Unknown

Straight long hair with thin braids worked into the ends and small white flowers scattered through. The bangs are blunt, with strands falling at the face to soften the outline. It placed #7 (4,320 likes at aggregation). A new release from GLAY Unknown — the creator behind the popular hairstyle Neo Wolf Short Ver.2.

GLAY Unknown also placed #5 in the May 2026 report, and released a men's short in the same month. It's a shop built on wolf cuts and sharper men's silhouettes, and this release swings toward the demure side with braids and flowers — the same accumulated craft pointed in a different direction.

Recoloring is handled entirely through lilToon's main color. Support covers Mayo, Kumaly, Moe, Manuka, Chocolat, Airi and others for 12 avatars, arriving with Modular Avatar already configured. The price is ¥990.

#8: Divine Hair / WishList

Softly waved long hair swept to either side, finished with wing-shaped ornaments, a ribbon headband, and a thin halo above for an angelic read. It took #8 (3,685 likes at aggregation).

What carries this one is restraint in the proportions. Wings, ribbon, and halo — the three staples — are all kept small and scattered around the head, so it works with sweet outfits and everyday clothes alike. If Bunny Angel Hair at #3 answers by adding ears and wings, this is the answer from the subtracting side.

Support covers Misaki, Mayo, Kumaly, Shinano, Ramune, Plum and others for 16 avatars. Contents are a Unitypackage and an editable PSD, with lilToon as the shader. The price is ¥1,000.

#9: Rosalie Twin / Elychiffon

Twintails with a large intake standing above the temples, curling loosely all the way down. Thin black ribbons hang at the ties. It landed at #9 (3,643 likes at aggregation).

This one ships a short twin variant, letting you change only the length while keeping the same intake and ribbons. Long for sweetness, short for a lighter finish — chosen to match whatever you're wearing. The ribbons are deliberately kept simple, leaving room to add other ornaments.

There are 12 colors. Support covers Flare, Lazuli, Manuka, Kumaly, Kipfel, Shinano and others for 24 avatars — the widest this month after #1 and #5. A single avatar is ¥1,000 and the 24-avatar Full Pack is ¥2,000.

#10: Suzukaze Long / muu(ﾑｰ)

Straight hair falling in a clean line past the middle of the back. Blunt bangs and thin strands beside the cheeks frame the face, with no ornaments added at all. It placed #10 (3,093 likes at aggregation). A new release from muu(ﾑｰ) — the creator behind the popular hairstyle Maji Oni Wolf.

In place of ornaments, the shape itself is built to be adjusted. Shape keys are grouped by area — ahoge, back, base, front, three side sections, and the strands beside the face — each with its own length and volume controls. The same hairstyle can be tightened to match the outline of whichever avatar you put it on.

muu(ﾑｰ) also placed #2 in both the August and September 2025 reports, building a run of hairstyles that each turn on one clear idea — an ear-tuck gimmick, hair over the eyes. This time that idea sits in the adjustment range rather than in the decoration.

Polygons come to △34,266. Support covers Milltina, Manuka, Kumaly, Chocolat, Sio, Mayo, Shinano and others for 15 avatars, with Modular Avatar required up front. The standard version is ¥1,000, with an identical support version at ¥1,200.

The count settled from May's 77 to 65, with median likes at 908. The median price is ¥800, down a step from May's ¥900. Top 10 avatar support ranges widely from 12 to 95; excluding that 95-avatar top pick, the average is about 18.

Supported models: Shinano back on top

Supported model counts run Shinano 47 / Manuka 38 / Milltina 37 / Chocolat 32 / Milfy 32 / Sio 31 / Mayo 31 / Rurune 29 / Airi 28 / Lumina 25. Manuka edged ahead in May, but June puts Shinano back on top at 47. The overall picture of familiar female bases holding the upper ranks hasn't changed.

One release stood out on a different axis than breadth.

UNREAL HAIR's "UH-001｜UNI" is a short style with a texture that suits anyone. True to the "UNISEX" label, the strands fall in a way that doesn't commit either direction, and shape keys let you fine-tune bang and side lengths. It's the shop's first numbered release, distributed free — an entry point you can try regardless of which avatar you use.

Among new bobs, this one also arrived.

Pirouette's "Mignon Bob" is a bob with a natural, lightly flicked bundle at the ends. It sits at a midpoint of sweetness that swings toward natural or girly, and supports 19 avatars. Pirouette also placed #3 in the May report with a long wolf cut, continuing to appear near the top while changing silhouette direction.

Silhouette: long leads, bobs climb

Silhouette counts run long hair 25 / short hair 17 / blunt bangs 16 / bob 14 / twintails 11 / straight 7 / wolf cut 6 / flipped ends 6 / curls 6 / wavy 5. Long holds first at 25, while bobs climbed from 10 in May to 14. The Top 10 reflects it with Loropetie Bob at #6.

On the short side, this men's release caught the eye.

Neochan_shop's "Mellow Cut Hair" is a men's wolf short with a loose, unstyled flow. Parting the bangs down the center lets it read either cool or soft, and it's the fourth entry in the shop's men's hair line. Both white and black variants come with example renders.

From the twin side, a lower-priced release also appeared.

Mellow Dolly's "Dolly Ribbon Twintail" is a sweet long twintail curled loosely to the ends. Blunt bangs and ribbons give it a doll-like read, supporting 13 avatars at ¥510. That sits toward the bottom of the ¥500–999 band, so you can try twintails once before deciding whether to keep them in rotation.

Taste: girly leads, natural follows

Taste counts run girly 25 / natural 15 / cute 9 / cool 9 / demure 8 / dreamy cute 7 / boyish 6 / refined 5. Girly holds first at 25, while natural rose from 14 in May to second place at 15 — decoration-forward and bare-shape approaches sitting side by side.

On the cool side, one release pushed on texture.

冬蟲工房's "Silky wolf" is a wolf cut with gloss painted in strand by strand. A gradient running from black into blue at the ends and ice-shaped earrings tie it together, with the animal ears carried in the same colors. The way the silk-like highlights are laid in is the selling point, at ¥500.

On the cute side, here's one with unusually wide recoloring.

SHELTERLOG's "Noise 00" is a wavy long style whose ends ripple loosely and flick outward. Ten hair materials combine with five masks to build the color, so the same shape swings a long way in impression. It supports 19 avatars.

Hair color: black takes over

Hair color counts run black 17 / white 12 / silver 12 / brown 11 / gold 7 / grey 5 / beige 5 / pink 4. Brown, which led for three straight months from March through May, fell to 11, and black took first at 17. White and silver together come to 24, so both ends of the light-dark range were thick this month.

On the black side, here's a representative release.

mumuluce's "meromero wolf Hair" is a black wolf cut with cat ears. Mesh and shape key toggles let you rebuild it into a half-up or a side tail, so one hairstyle yields several arrangements. The Accessory version adds a fish-bone hairpin alongside the ears, supporting 21 avatars at ¥1,000.

On the white-silver side, one release flips character with color.

SweetCloud_3D's "Peacebebe" is a short bob rounded out with fluffy sides and loose waves. Heavy bangs deliver sweetness and mystery at once, and the read reverses with color — angelic in silver-white, impish in black. The price is ¥1,000.

Price: about 75% sits in the ¥500–999 band

The price split runs free 2 / ¥1–499 2 / ¥500–999 49 / ¥1,000–1,999 12 / ¥2,000+ 0. The ¥500–999 band holds 49, about 75% of the month, up from roughly 68% in May. Nothing above ¥2,000 has appeared for four months running since March. With little room to differentiate on price, the contest runs on color counts, support lists, and how easily a style recolors.

From that ¥500–999 band, here's one that leads with shape.

mollow & co.'s "Chouchou Bob" is a bob whose large bouncing waves build a round silhouette. The doll-like outline settles equally into girly and gothic looks. The price is ¥690.

In the ¥1,000–1,999 band, one release stood out for sheer adjustment range.

VELKOR's "LUNE" is a long style flowing softly to the ends. The striking part is the range: 42 color variations for the nape and 28 shape keys. Being able to pick the nape color separately from the hair color itself is an unusual touch. It supports 11 avatars at ¥1,200.

June 2026's new hairstyles were separated by what goes on top of the head. Four of the Top 10 carry a halo, and each answers differently on how much to add — ears, wings, and ribbons piled on, or kept deliberately small. With the silhouettes themselves settled around long and bob and not moving much, the design attention gathered into those few centimeters above the hairline.

The other thing that stays with me is how the depth of a support list has become the substance of the competition. In a category that hasn't seen a release above ¥2,000 in four months, the top spot went to a style covering 95 avatars. When prices sit level, what finally decides it is whether your own avatar is on the list — and the patient work of answering that shows up directly in the ranking. Neither the balance of ornaments nor the depth of a support list can be built overnight, which makes this a category where the people who keep making things keep gaining ground.
