Here's my look back at the 10 most-liked small items published on Booth in September 2025, data included. After an August where free, playable little items led the way, this month weapons took the top of the board.
At the top sits a near-future katana wreathed in blue flame (5,363 likes). Let's start there and go through the lineup one at a time.

10 Featured Small Items
Ranked by like count as of the aggregation date (October 2026), with a look at what each one does well.
#1: Chisame / ぜうぇの物置き小屋
A gimmick katana with a near-future design, wreathed in blue flame. It took the top spot among September 2025 small items on its own (5,363 likes).
The core motion is the draw and sheath, with the blade sliding along the scabbard, and once it's out, blue flame particles wrap around the edge. Swing it and you flow straight into an attack that slices up everything around you or a slash that flies forward, so the appeal isn't just holding a sword — it's drawing it and unleashing a technique as one continuous motion. Setup is just dragging the prefab onto your avatar and adjusting its position, which is very little work for how many moves you get.
The scabbard and hilt come in seven color schemes, plus an added "meteorite" material that brings out a wave pattern on a black blade. The katana alone is ¥1,500, and the same page also offers a full set (¥5,500) containing every weapon in the shop, so if you want to swap between several of them you can pick them all up at once.
#2: Hitsukami / サイチの物置小屋
A stripped-down katana with a blue-black crystal blade. It went up on the last day of the month, September 30, yet by the aggregation date it had 5,229 likes and sat right behind #1.
It's built so that the shape of your hand alone draws and sheathes it: close your hand near the hilt to draw, open it to return the blade to the scabbard. Rather than piling on techniques and effects, it lets the sword's own form do the talking. Hang it at your waist over a black jacket or a techwear outfit and your whole silhouette tightens up.
The katana comes with lore: it is "the origin of every exorcist blade, forged by the founder of Amatsumara Heavy Industries." In the same September, サイチの物置小屋 also released IZUNA, a portable exorcist blade where a blue edge extends from a device worn around the neck, growing an arsenal inside the same exorcism setting. It's ¥500.

#3: Enforcer / TRISTA
A magic weapon in the shape of a sniper rifle. After topping my July small-item report with Illusionist, a cigarette-shaped magic tool, TRISTA is back in the Top 3 with 4,673 likes.
The setting: an anti-materiel rifle "made with shooting dragons in mind." You work the bolt to eject the casing, load a round, and pull the trigger all by hand, and touching the scope with a finger changes the zoom. Reticle color, brightness, and vertical zero are all adjustable, so the time spent lining up a shot becomes part of the fun.
What makes it a magic weapon is a set of three skills you can switch between: a spread-plus-mid-range shot, a summoned bombardment, and a charge shot. The particles carry hit detection, so in worlds that support it you can use it as a game weapon as-is. The wood-grain stock comes in white, black, and brown, and it's ¥2,500 (¥2,700 for the supporter edition).
#4: APHG-23L & APKN-12 / Stella Quartz
A set pairing a suppressed handgun with a tactical knife. It launched at ¥600, an entry price celebrating the shop's 10,000 Booth followers, and gathered 4,568 likes.
The handgun holds 12+1 rounds, and fitting the suppressor changes the firing sound. The knife is where the tricks are: you can switch between forward and reverse grip while holding it, spin it in your hand, swing it to throw out a slash, and when you throw it, it returns to its sheath. Because one avatar can swap between gun and blade on the move, you can build close-range action out of a single set.
It also supports the "SQ Attachment System," which lets you move attachments between Stella Quartz items, so the included light-and-laser module can go on other compatible products too. The gun comes in four colors, camo included. In the same September, the shop also released a katana set, Mumei & Shijima, at the same 10,000-follower price.
#5: BLVK Novelty Bouquet / BLVK
A bouquet of roses wrapped in black paper. BLVK made it as an anniversary novelty, and it gathered 4,236 likes.
It isn't just the bouquet: you get four forms — the full bouquet, a single wrapped stem, one long-stemmed rose, and the bloom on its own — so you can hold it in your arms, tuck it at your chest, or set it on a table. Positioning is meant to be adjusted freely in Unity, so it works on any avatar.
The roses come in six colors: black, red, blue, purple, white, and pink. The all-black bouquet blends right into a monotone outfit, while red or white turns it into the centerpiece of a gift-giving shot. It's ¥500.
#6: Baby Bottle / Chamm shop
A cute, stylized baby bottle you can hold. It's the highest-ranked free item in the Top 10, with 4,217 likes.
The star is the milk inside: tilt the bottle and the surface tilts with it, and even when you aren't holding it, the milk sways gently at a steady rhythm. The liquid is drawn with Chamm shop's own original shader, so it's not only cute to look at but fun to move around in your hand. From chibi avatars to taller ones, any avatar can hold it once you adjust the position.
The base bottle is free, and the ¥300 +PLUS edition adds a neck-hanging version, a head-perched version, a ribbon, four colors (pink, blue, orange, and gray), and bear and rabbit pattern textures. The default position is fitted to Kipfel, so on Kipfel you only need to set up MA and it's ready to hold.

#7: Close Strike Arms [Aoe-Magara] / Outlander Campers
An accessory that carries an original-design long blade and short blade on your back, on a belt slung diagonally over the shoulder. It gathered 3,756 likes.
It isn't a weapon you swing with gimmicks; it's a piece that shows off how it looks on your back, with the back belt and the tags hanging from the hilts swaying on PhysBones. The belt has a blend shape for fine adjustment, so you can reshape it to avoid clipping with whatever you wear over it. Layering black scabbards over a white hoodie or techwear pushes the whole look a step more tactical.
The belt carrier and the two blades each come as their own prefab, and the full set is △9,090 polygons. It's ¥800.
#8: Mo2Ca [Menno Meetup 2] / menno-fanclub
The keepsake handed out at the "2nd Menno Meetup," a user gathering for the avatar Menno, now sold on Booth. It was released after people who couldn't attend asked for it, and it gathered 2,508 likes.
It's a sci-fi bottle-shaped item where a young sprout glows inside a clear capsule, with the meetup logo on the side and a tiny figure charm hanging off it. You can choose from 12 colors — the original meetup color plus 11 more — so attendees can carry it as a memento and those who missed out as a show of support, each in a scheme that suits them.
Setup is just placing the prefab into your avatar's hierarchy, and it's made with Menno in mind. It's ¥650.
#9: Mochiyama Goldfish Towel / もち山金魚
A white towel printed with the shop's name, given away free by もち山金魚 to celebrate five years of their Booth shop. It gathered 2,339 likes.
It's like the promotional towel a shop hands out as a thank-you gift turned straight into a 3D model, with the shop name and a congratulatory message printed in red along one end. You get three versions: a towel that rests on your head, one draped over your shoulders, and one that hangs on a wall in a world. The head towel can be bent with bones to follow your hairstyle, and the shoulder towel sways on PhysBones, so a fresh-out-of-the-bath or public-bathhouse shoot is ready to go.
The head and shoulder versions support seven of もち山金魚's own avatars, including Kipfel, Mamehinata, and Usasaki. The wall towel changes how it hangs via blend shapes, so it also works as decor for a world's washroom or changing room.
#10: Angelic Energy Drink Can / Insomnia Angel
An energy drink can with a straw and an angel logo. It's Insomnia Angel's first release, and it gathered 2,327 likes.
The can comes in 14 colors, and a blend shape turns it into a crumpled, crushed can, so you can shoot everything from a half-finished drink in hand to the empty can afterward. It looks right whether it's in your hand or sitting on a desk, which makes it an easy companion for a late-night or work-session shot.
It's △3,048 polygons with a single material. Setup uses Modular Avatar and lilToon, and it's ¥500.

September 2025 Trends
Beyond the ranking, here's what the data says about all 93 small items published on Booth in September 2025.
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Items | 93 |
| Average likes | 1,052 |
| Median likes | 614 |
| Average price | ¥465 |
| Median price | ¥400 |
| Share of free items | 39% (36 / 93) |
| Share under ¥1,000 | 83% (77 / 93) |
| Free items in the Top 10 | 2 (#6, #9) |
The item count was 93, settling down further from August's 104. Even so, median likes reached 614, above August's 555, and the average climbed to 1,052. All of the Top 5 cleared 4,000 likes, so popularity concentrated at the top this month. At the same time, free items hit 36 (39%), the highest in the three months since July, and the median price fell to ¥400. A split comes into view: polished weapons take the top, while free items widen the base.
Features: lilToon at 70%, shooting and drawing climb the list
Top 10 Features
Distribution of product features, capabilities, and gimmick types.
The feature tally reads lilToon support 66 / MA support 47 / particles 32 / shooting gimmick 12 / world lock 10 / on-off toggle 6 / PhysBone sway 6 / blend shapes 6 / sword-draw gimmick 6 / Poiyomi support 5. lilToon support covers about 70% and is now a given, and particles account for a third. What stands out is 12 shooting gimmicks and 6 sword-draw gimmicks: the motions of using a weapon — shooting and drawing — have worked their way up the feature list.
One item put a shooting gimmick on a vehicle instead of a weapon.
ホビージャパンVR部's "Ubiquel Zero Fighter" is a gimmick that lets you pilot a Zero fighter following above your head with finger movements. You can fly it in any direction with gestures and switch between its 7.7mm and 20mm machine guns, and when you land it on your right hand, the landing gear even lowers with an animation. Based on a 1/32 die-cast model, the aircraft is detailed down to △91,939 polygons, and it's ¥2,200 with prefabs for 29 avatars.
Here's a free piece that puts world lock to work on a rainy-day prop.
プレさんの箱庭's "Jellyfish Umbrella" is a clear umbrella with a jellyfish pattern on its canopy. You can toggle it from the expression menu, and with world lock on you can leave the umbrella standing where it is and walk away. In AudioLink-enabled worlds, the jellyfish pattern glows in time with the music. It's free, with a ¥100 supporter edition that also bundles a world version of the umbrella.
Taste: military and sci-fi side by side, fantasy behind
Top 10 Taste Tags
Which taste/aesthetic tags appeared most in this theme.
The taste tally reads military 18 / sci-fi 17 / fantasy 13 / gag 12 / pop 11 / cyberpunk 9 / mecha 9 / cute 8 / Japanese 8 / dark 7. Military at 18 and sci-fi at 17 lead almost neck and neck, with fantasy at 13 behind them. August was a three-way tie between fantasy, military, and realistic at 15 each; in September, sci-fi grew and cyberpunk and mecha came in at 9 each. In the Top 10 too, pieces with a near-future feel stand out, like the #1 katana and the #8 capsule bottle.
On the sci-fi side, a free sword with a spinning blade of light showed up.
へびや部's "HELEON" is a cyber sword whose beam-like blade of light spins like a chainsaw. The spin is an effect that scrolls the blade's pattern so it looks like it's turning (UV scrolling), the sword moves between deployed and stowed with a transformation animation, and each transformation plays a sound. It's △1,200 polygons, its colors can be changed in Unity, and it's free.
From the gag side, a tool for intimidating bread.
なっすんの、自由帳's "Intimidation Tongs" are, as the name says, tongs for frightening the bread. Close your right hand and a "click!" sound and text pop out, turning that habit of clacking the tongs while holding a tray at a bakery into a game. It supports MA, and even unsupported avatars can use it by lining it up with the right hand. This is the shop that put out "Whisper Ink," a pen that shows your writing to just one person, in my August report, and it keeps turning small everyday gestures into free gag items.
On the pop side, a tool that blows wind at your swaying parts arrived.
空想工房幻影屋's "Blast Blower" is a handheld version of the leaf blower. Wherever you point it, hair, accessories, and clothing with PhysBones sway in the wind, so you can create that windswept shot with your own hands. Switch modes and fallen-leaf particles go flying, with sound effects too. Setup uses VRCFury, and it's ¥500, with a ¥700 supporter edition that has the same contents.
Item type: 41 weapons, blades outnumber guns
Top 10 Accessory Types
Distribution of accessory and decoration types.
The item-type tally reads weapon 41 / gun 8 / katana 7 / rifle 4 / sword 4 / Japanese sword 4 / knife 3 / cigarette 2 / charm 2 / belt 2. Weapons at 41 are about as thick as August's 44, more than 40% of the 93 items. Look inside, though, and katana 7 plus Japanese sword 4 make 11, outnumbering guns at 8, and katanas took #1, #2, and #7 in the Top 10. This was a month when momentum leaned toward weapons you draw rather than weapons you fire.
On the gun side, there was also one that fires a stream of bubbles.
RAKOKO's "Bubble Gun_RK" is a pastel bubble gun tied with a plaid ribbon. Close your right hand and bubble particles burst out, and since the bubbles are set not to collide with players, you can fire away even where people are gathered. It comes in blue, pink, and purple, and it's ¥200.
Price: free is the largest band, 83% under ¥1,000
Price Distribution
Price bucket distribution for products in this theme during the period.
The price distribution reads free 36 / ¥1–499 13 / ¥500–999 28 / ¥1,000–1,999 13 / ¥2,000–2,999 3 / ¥3,000+ 0. Free, at 36, is the largest band, followed by ¥500–999 at 28. Items under ¥1,000 came back to 77 (83%) from August's 73%, and there were 3 items at ¥2,000 or more, with #3 Enforcer (¥2,500) in that band from the Top 10. Even among the top weapons, #2 Hitsukami was ¥500 and the #4 set ¥600 — many pieces came in under ¥1,000.
In the free band, one item that bottles up an entire avatar caught my eye.
ぺぐらぼ's "Bottle for Bottling Any Avatar" is a small cork-stoppered bottle you can display an avatar inside. Place the bottle directly under the head bone and an avatar directly under the bottle, and you can walk around with a little avatar-in-a-bottle on your head. Poses are up to you, and it can go on bones other than the head too. The base is free, with ¥100 and ¥300 supporter editions that have the same contents.
From the ¥1–499 band, a box you can hide in just by crouching.
nya3d's "Infiltration Cardboard Box" is a gimmick where a cardboard box appears when you crouch and covers you completely. On desktop it's the crouch button, and in VR the box appears when you lower your posture, so you can immediately play at lurking behind a friend as a box. You can peek out through the handle hole, Mamehinata and Kipfel need almost no adjustment, and taller avatars fit too once you resize it. It's ¥400.

September 2025 through a small-item creator's eyes
From the Top 10 and the September numbers as a whole, here are four angles worth noticing from a small-item creator's point of view. I've lined them up against my July and August reports so the three-month changes are easy to see.
| Metric | July 2025 | August 2025 | September 2025 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Items | 125 | 104 | 93 |
| Median price | ¥500 | ¥500 | ¥400 |
| Median likes | 564 | 555 | 614 |
| Share free | ~27% | ~31% | ~39% |
| Share under ¥1,000 | ~82% | ~73% | ~83% |
| Item type "weapon" | 13 | 44 | 41 |
| Free in the Top 10 | 4 | 4 | 2 |
| Top 10 with promo videos | 6 | 6 | 4 |
Key points for small-item creators:
-
Weapons took the top four, flipping August's order — August's Top 3 were free, playable little items; in September, the top four were the #1 and #2 katanas, the #3 sniper rifle, and the #4 handgun-and-knife set. Add the #7 pair of blades and half the Top 10 are weapons. With the "weapon" item type flat at 41 versus August's 44, the number of weapons didn't grow — popularity concentrated on carefully built weapons. All of the Top 5 cleared 4,000 likes, and median likes rose to 614.
-
Drawing over firing — 11 blades and 6 sword-draw gimmicks — By item type, katana 7 plus Japanese sword 4 total 11, ahead of guns at 8, and 6 sword-draw gimmicks appeared on the feature axis. #1 Chisame stacks techniques on top of drawing and sheathing along the scabbard, while #2 Hitsukami narrows things down to drawing and sheathing with nothing but a closed or open hand. Both directions — piling on effects and paring down the motion — made it to the top, which shows that katanas are differentiating on how they stage the moment of the draw.
-
Four keepsakes tied to milestones, right behind the weapons — #5 is BLVK's anniversary-novelty bouquet, #8 the keepsake from the 2nd Menno Meetup, #9 もち山金魚's towel for the shop's fifth anniversary, and #10 Insomnia Angel's first-release energy drink can. The #4 set also launched at a price celebrating 10,000 followers, so releases marking a milestone reached the upper ranks as they were — the other defining trait of September. Each one gives shape to a shop's or a meetup's name, so carrying it becomes a small show of support for the people who made it.
-
Free at 39%, the price center drops a step — Free items reached 36 (about 39%), up for the second month running from July's 27% and August's 31%. The median price also fell from ¥500 to ¥400, and 83% came in under ¥1,000. Yet only 2 of the Top 10 were free, down from August's 4, with priced pieces filling the other 8 spots. The base widens through free items while priced craftsmanship takes the top — that split showed up more clearly this month than at any point in the three.
Summary
September 2025 was the month weapons took the top of the small-item board. A katana wreathed in blue flame, a katana with a crystal blade, a sniper rifle built to bring down dragons, a knife that flies back to its sheath. The top four were all weapons, and every one of them carefully builds out the motions themselves — readying, drawing, firing. Likes gathered around tools that respond as much as you move your hands, not ornaments you just hold.
Behind them came an anniversary bouquet, a meetup keepsake, a fifth-anniversary thank-you towel, and a first-release can — small items celebrating milestones. A katana stacked with techniques and a towel printed with a shop's name look like completely different things, but both are creators taking what they've built up and offering it in a form people can hold. Whether they're refining every motion of a blade or handing out towels on an anniversary, each of them is building time with their users in their own way — and that craftsmanship is what gave September's Top 10 its range.
