[September 2025] VRChat Outfit Trends & Ranking | Booth Trend Analysis

From the new outfits published on Booth in September 2025, I'm looking back at the 10 that drew the most likes, with the data alongside. At the top is Hollow, a fluffy autumn hoodie that comes in 42 colors. Behind it came a double-layered urban street look, an all-lace gothic dress, and an agent suit — with handcuffs and a pistol — that works on both male and female bodies, a cool, grown-up lineup.

Summer swimwear still lingered a little, while knit and tweed autumn pieces climbed into the upper ranks, and outfits that get a jump on autumn and Halloween — an "Agent"-branded suit, an oni outfit that draws a katana — grew more common: those are the things to watch in September. Ranked by like count at the time of aggregation (July 2026), I'll go through each one and what makes it tick.

📊 About the data Aggregated: 2026-07-02 / Scope: outfits published on Booth between 2025-09-01 and 2025-09-30 with 300+ likes (366 items)

Top 10 Outfits

#1: Hollow / BlueKuma

A roomwear-style coordinate: a fluffy zip hoodie that slips loosely off the shoulders, paired with a light-blue headset, lingerie and shorts. BlueKuma built it as "autumn loungewear," and the oversized, relaxed silhouette is its charm. It gathered 16,067 likes at the time of aggregation and took the outright #1 outfit spot for September 2025.

The biggest strength here is its 42 colors. You can recolor the hoodie, lingerie and shoes independently, so the same loungewear can go from a fresh white-and-light-blue combo to a calm gray or black. The headset and slippers come as part of the set, so you land on an "at home" look right after buying.

It supports 25 avatars including Shinano, Manuka, Milltina and Airi, and BlueKuma keeps adding more after release. There's a dedicated material for the Mamefrenz body, and each avatar gets its own chest and heel shape keys, so the fit holds up across bodies. The shader is lilToon, with Modular Avatar support.

#2: Double Jacket Outfit / Chocolate rice

A dark, urban street look built around the volume of two layered black jackets. A beret, sunglasses, a chest name-tag and a thigh harness tighten it into a grown-up urban mood. It's a new release from Chocolate rice — the creator behind the popular Classical chic — and it landed at #2 with 14,794 likes at the time of aggregation.

The fun part is right there in the name: you get two jackets (A and B), and just changing how you drape and layer them swings the silhouette a lot. It's black at the core, but white and pink colorways let you push it cool or a little sweet. Chocolate rice themselves billed it as a "new outfit for autumn 2025."

It supports 19 avatars centered on Shinano, Manuka, Milltina and Chocolat. A gray-base PSD is included, so you can repaint the texture into your own colors and patterns. The tie, name-tag and boots all come along, and the shader is lilToon.

#3: Velvet Curse Dress / EDEN Oasis

An all-lace black dress layering a triple-buckle corset and tiered frills — a decadent, refined gothic-lolita dress. The red gem on the choker, the bonnet, the arm warmers: every detail is pulled into one gothic world. It landed at #3 with 10,876 likes at the time of aggregation.

It shares a lineage with EDEN Oasis's gothic-dress line — the same shop behind Sick Honey Street, which placed #5 in the August report.

The highlight is that it includes not just the dress but a lace parasol as well. The umbrella is built at over 20,000 polygons, and simply opening it locks in a gothic composition. It comes in five colors — black, light blue, pink, purple and white — so you can swing from a night-dark black to a sweet pink.

It supports 18 avatars including Shinano, Milltina, Manuka and Milfy, growing from 10 at launch to 18 over the course of September. The dress alone is ¥1,640, and the full set covering all 18 avatars is ¥3,500. The shader is lilToon, with Modular Avatar support.

#4: BLACK AGENT / LooKing

An agent-style formal suit — a white shirt with a black tie, an X-shaped chest harness and a corset belt. A long coat over the top, handcuffs on the thigh, a pistol holder at the waist: it builds a whole spy-movie world out of props. It landed at #4 with 9,503 likes at the time of aggregation.

The defining feature is that it fits both male and female bodies. The women's version has shorts and stockings, the men's version has long pants — cut differently to suit each build. It supports 17 avatars in total: six male bodies like Minase, Hanka, Kanata, Komano, Kuuta and Maro, plus female bodies like Shinano and Milltina. As an outfit that lets a male avatar wear a suit and look sharp, it's a rare find.

The props run deep too — handcuffs, a pistol, an earphone, a watch, a nameplate and fingerless gloves, a full agent's kit. The full pack also includes a pose pack, and setup assumes Modular Avatar and lilToon.

#5: Oni-gokko / RINNETOKYO

A Japanese-style sexy outfit themed around an oni (demon), with white horns and flowing silver hair. A black crop top with an oni-mask belt ornament and paper charms, over fishnets, all pulled into a black-and-red, bewitching world. It's a new release from RINNETOKYO — the creator behind the popular Eye of the Moon Fox — and it landed at #5 with 9,200 likes at the time of aggregation.

The centerpiece is a katana gimmick you can hold. A grip gesture draws the katana at your waist, and when you clash it against someone else's blade, it makes a sound. It's a piece you can actually play with — a mock sword-crossing with a friend — living up to its name, "Oni-gokko" (tag).

It supports 18 avatars including Shinano, Milltina, Manuka and Ichigo. It comes in white-hair and dark-hair color variants, and the Japanese-horror mood looks right at home in the Halloween season. It uses VRC Constraint for natural arm motion, so the latest Modular Avatar is required.

#6: LV.10 Denim_Denier / LookVook

A snug rib-knit crop top paired with a denim skirt or shorts — a midriff-baring girly casual. A cat motif, with a little cat perched on the head and shoulder, adds a playful touch. It landed at #6 with 8,663 likes at the time of aggregation.

It's the 10th entry in LookVook's numbered "LV." series, following LV.9 Dive_Vibe, which placed #7 in the August report.

The product page even bills it as an "Autumn Edition," and the mix of knit texture and denim suits the season. You can pick a denim skirt or shorts, and swing the look including the knit up top. A PSD for editing is included too.

It supports 16 avatars including Shinano, Manuka, Milltina and Airi. Each avatar has its own chest and waist shape keys, so you can fine-tune the fit. The shader is lilToon, with Modular Avatar support.

#7: Urban Bloom / Tempasohmori

A checked tweed cropped jacket paired with a pleated skirt in the same fabric — a refined, classical setup. A beret, round glasses and a black tie make it an intelligent, calm autumn look. It's a new release from Tempasohmori — the creator behind the popular Honmei Knit — and it landed at #7 with 8,119 likes at the time of aggregation.

Because the top and skirt are a setup, you can mix and match the jacket and skirt separately. Buy the full set and you get bonus long boots (in four colorways), so you can choose your footwear expression alongside the pumps. A bustier and a shoulder bag are included too, keeping the accessories classical.

It supports 17 avatars including Shinano, Manuka, Selestia and Airi, with Lumina added after release. A PSD with blank textures for editing is included, and the shader is lilToon, with Modular Avatar support.

#8: Agent Krash / CYCR (Cyber Critter)

A tactical outfit like a near-future ninja, carrying a katana and shuriken. A black harness and crop top, with a visor cap sprouting oni horns and fingerless gloves — a cool, cyberpunk-leaning design. It's a new release from CYCR (Cyber Critter) — the creator behind the popular Le Hana — and it landed at #8 with 8,004 likes at the time of aggregation.

It's part of CYCR's flagship "hair-included outfit" series, so it comes with a dedicated hairstyle, not just the clothes. That means you don't have to hunt for hair that fits your body — you land on a fully-realized look the moment you buy. The hair is built on the Lime and Mizuki bases.

It supports 15 avatars including Shinano, Kikyo, Manuka and Selestia. The outfit alone is ¥1,400, the full set ¥2,600, and the full set with hair ¥3,100 — a price structure you can pick to your needs. The shader is lilToon, and a Blender file is included for editing.

#9: Lilia Mare / EdgeMode

A striped bikini paired with a sheer black robe and a flower-trimmed straw hat — a summer resort swimsuit. A body chain and leg wraps play up the skin, for an open, glamorous silhouette. It's a new release from EdgeMode — the creator behind the popular Lilith Vice — and it landed at #9 with 8,001 likes at the time of aggregation.

It's a piece that carries a trace of the season, with summer wear still holding an upper spot into September. Throw the sheer robe over the top and you get a more grown-up styling than the swimsuit alone, ready to shine in a beach or seaside world for photos.

It supports 16 avatars including Milltina, Shinano, Manuka and Kikyo. To put chest fit first, it splits the Prefab by size — 0/50/100 for Shinano, Base/Big/Big_Plus for Manuka — so you pick to your build. The shader is lilToon, with Modular Avatar support.

#10: De Route N85 / BLVK

A leather rider jacket with zippers and flap pockets, paired with a black tee and pants — an all-black street style. Rugged and grown-up, it flatters male avatars especially well. It landed at #10 with 7,727 likes at the time of aggregation.

Its strength is the breadth of avatar coverage. Centered on male bodies like Minase, Komano, Hanka, Kuuta and the +Head lineup, it reaches 26 avatars including non-humanoid ones, right down to the deep-sea Shinkai Hitouo. With most outfits aimed at female bodies, a piece that lets male and non-humanoid bodies look cool is a valuable one.

The polygon count is a light 35,213 tris, an easy-to-handle build for a leather jacket, which tends to run heavy. It comes in six colors, centered on black but reaching white, a floral pattern and a snakeskin finish. At launch, the creator gave it away free for one week to spread it fast, then moved to a standing ¥1,500 — a go-to-market play worth noting. It's under a UV License that permits commercial use, and the shader is lilToon.

Price sits at a median of ¥1,200 and an average of ¥1,258 — about the same accessible level as August. Top 10 supported-avatar counts run from 15 to 26, averaging around 19. The shift from summer to autumn, and the thickness of cool, suit-style pieces, show up across the axes below.

Supported models: Shinano, Manuka and Milltina lead

Top 10 Supported Models

Distribution of supported avatar models.

Shinano leads with 216, Manuka 187 and Milltina 180 — following August, the top three form a clear lead trio. Chocolat 137, Rurune 134, Airi 134, Chiffon 121, Milfy 114, Shinra 110 and Ichigo 106 follow. As the bodies a new outfit reaches for first, locking in these three reads as the way to land widely.

At the same time, in the Top 10, pieces aimed at male bodies grew — like the #4 agent suit and the #10 leather rider. Among the trends, an autumn piece that works on either gender catches the eye.

flow4ge's "Relaxed Cardigan" is a daily coordinate set built around a cardigan, complete with outerwear, inner, bottoms and shoes. It's real-clothes in a calm palette, made to suit both female and male bodies, and it semi-supports 25 avatars across genders like Shinano and Manuka. A piece for anyone after a relaxed autumn/winter everyday look.

Outfit types: shorts, dresses and one-pieces neck-and-neck, plus autumn wear

Top 10 Outfit Types

Outfit types bundled with these products.

Top outfit types were shorts 53, dresses 50, one-pieces 48, jackets 43 and pants 37. Shorts, dresses and one-pieces run neck-and-neck, with jackets high up too. The swimsuits and bikinis that were thick in August settled down, and autumn wear like knits (29) and jackets gained presence in their place.

Here's an autumn knit that stood out.

ALICE's "Amaretto" is an autumn coordinate built around a snug, merino-wool-like knit. Paired with a checked mini skirt, a beret and round glasses, it's a calm, grown-up casual look. It supports 14 avatars including Shinano and Manuka, and as a piece you can wear through a long season, it fits the switch from summer to autumn just right.

Taste: sexy on top, with street, cool and dark running thick

Top 10 Taste Tags

Which taste/aesthetic tags appeared most in this theme.

Top tastes were sexy 101, casual 97, street 93, girly 90, cool 82 and dark 67. Sexy is on top, but street, cool and dark bundle together into real thickness. The Top 10 was likewise locked up by cool, grown-up pieces — the double jacket, the agent suit, the near-future ninja and the leather rider.

Here's one on the cool side that caught the eye.

FOXYPLAY's "Codebreaker" is an all-black, police-style tactical bodysuit. A cool, sexy look with a harness, garters and handcuffs, it even includes a whip with a sound gimmick. It supports 16 avatars including Shinano, Milltina and Manuka, letting you build a sharp-styled world in a single outfit.

Color: black and white dominate

Top 10 Colors

Distribution of primary colors.

Color breaks down as black 221, white 184, brown 34, red 34 and pink 33. Black and white dominate, pulling far ahead of everything below in a monotone-heavy picture. The Top 10 likewise had black-based pieces up top — the double jacket, the gothic dress, the agent suit and the leather rider.

Black-based, and shining in the Halloween season too, here's one that works on either gender.

Enechia-uriba's "Vlad Tepes" is a decadent, aristocratic vampire outfit layering a full-covering great-winged cape, a frilled tie and a lace-up corset. The cape and vest toggle on and off, and it supports both male and female bodies, like Minase and Alue. As a Halloween-leaning piece that started appearing in September, it lets you wear a noble air straight off the shelf.

Trim & accessories: ribbons lead, belts and harnesses too

Top 10 Accessory Types

Distribution of accessory and decoration types.

Among the trim bundled with outfits, the leaders were ribbons 55, belts 43, chokers 37, hats 26, chains 23 and harnesses 23. Ribbon inclusion pulls a head clear at the top, moving in step with the thickness of girly styles. The belts and chains that follow work as cool, tactical touches — think of the Top 10's agent suit and near-future ninja.

Price: ¥1,000–1,999 is the biggest band

Price Distribution

Price bucket distribution for products in this theme during the period.

Price breaks down as free 19, ¥1–499 16, ¥500–999 85, ¥1,000–1,999 212, ¥2,000–2,999 24, ¥3,000–4,999 7 and ¥5,000+ 3. The ¥1,000–1,999 band is the biggest at 212, and the two bands from ¥500 to ¥1,999 hold about 81%. Free and sub-¥499 together come to 35 — a little tighter than August (48), but the accessible base continues.

Here's one that stood out for character in the low-price band.

kurageyummmy's "Kuma Park Code" is a cozy, soothing coordinate themed around a teddy bear. It comes with fluffy bear ears, a plush, a bear backpack and even a churro, all toggleable from the menu. It's an ¥800 piece supporting four small avatars like Kipfel and Mamehinata — a look you'll want to shoot on a leisurely day out.

September trends from an outfit creator's view

From the Top 10 and September's overall figures, let me pull out four points worth watching from an outfit creator's view. To see the differences against the July and August reports, I've stacked three months vertically.

Outfit creator notes:

  1. A transition month, as summer wear ebbed and autumn wear climbed — August was all summer, with swimsuits and bikinis; September brought the #1 fluffy hoodie, the #6 knit-and-denim and the #7 tweed setup up top. The #9 resort swimsuit still trailed summer, and the trends showed the knit Amaretto and the cardigan Relaxed Cardigan too — a month where the change of season showed up straight in the ranking. It's a picture where getting a jump on the season by a month or two pays off.

  2. Cool, suit-style pieces, and a spread toward male bodies — taste ran thick with street 93, cool 82 and dark 67, and the Top 10 took in four jacket/suit pieces: the #2 double jacket, the #4 agent suit, the #8 near-future ninja and the #10 leather rider. In particular, #4 fits both genders, and #10 reaches 26 avatars including male and non-humanoid bodies like Minase and Komano. With most outfits aimed at female bodies, pieces made for male bodies landed several spots in the upper ranks.

  3. Series and numbered lines growing a shop's staple — CYCR's "hair-included outfit" series (#8, plus BuggyHalo and Agent Owl in the trends), LookVook's numbered "LV." 10th entry (#6), Tempasohmori (#7) and EDEN Oasis (#3) — following August, the same shops keep stacking staple lines to hold the upper ranks. It's a picture where releasing steadily shows up straight in the ranking.

  4. Getting a jump on Halloween, held up by low prices and MA standardization — led by the #5 Oni-gokko (Japanese horror plus a katana gimmick), the trends showed the vampire Vlad Tepes and a flame-effect piece too — Halloween-leaning, bewitching and Japanese-horror pieces started appearing in September. Price holds an accessible base with a ¥1,200 median and about 58% in the ¥1,000–1,999 band, and Modular Avatar frequency standardizes further to about 78%.

Wrap-up

September 2025's new outfits gave the impression of "a transition month — the 42-color fluffy hoodie Hollow at the top, summer swimwear ebbing, and knit and tweed autumn pieces climbing into the upper ranks." Alongside that, cool, grown-up pieces — the double jacket, the agent suit, the near-future ninja and the leather rider — locked up the top, and outfits aimed at male bodies landed several spots, like #4 and #10.

What also stood out was the move, following August, of growing a shop's staple through series and numbered lines. CYCR's hair-included outfits, LookVook's numbered series, Tempasohmori and EDEN Oasis — the same makers keep placing high, entry after entry. Reading the season ahead to prep autumn and Halloween pieces while settling in to grow your own line — that steady accumulation is what showed up in the breadth of the Top 10, and that was the feel of September 2025's new outfits.
