Here's my look back at the 10 most-liked outfits published on Booth in July 2026, data included. What stood out this month was how creators designed the doorway that gets an outfit into someone's hands.

At the top sits a monochrome look — a black hoodie with a belt harness layered over it (13,727 likes). Let's start there and go through the lineup one outfit at a time.

#1: 3rd PINK♡PUDDING / PINK♡PUDDING

A black sweat hoodie with a wide belt around it and a harness running from chest to shoulder. Black-and-grey stripes peek out from under the hoodie, and a mini skirt, a shoulder pouch, and a chain hung with pin badges and a small plush finish the waist. It took the single top spot for July 2026 outfits (13,727 likes at aggregation), leading #2 by more than 3,000.

This one was given away between July 1 and July 12, 2026, to mark the shop's third anniversary. It's a new release from PINK♡PUDDING — the creator behind the popular Garnet outfit — and the product page carries a line thanking everyone who has supported the shop over the years.

Support covers six avatars — Shinano, Lime, Chiffon, Chocolat, Plum, and Milfy — and setup assumes Modular Avatar. Four days after publication it was swapped for a lighter build with the polygon count trimmed, and a UV sheet for texture edits is included.

#2: Off-Air / CYCR (Cyber Critter)

A post-apocalyptic outfit-with-hairstyle you wear along with a CRT television for a head. Thick cables hang in a bundle from the back of the neck, and an oversized blouson, short pants, and platform boots anchor the rest. It landed at #2 (10,614 likes at aggregation). It's a new release from CYCR — the creator behind the popular Midnight Fox 2.0 outfit.

What catches the eye here is that the replacement head ships inside the outfit package. Parts that swap out a whole head are usually sold on their own; here the television and its cables sit on the outfit side and are deliberately left out of the hairstyle package. You choose between showing a face or wearing a set that has lost its signal, all within the same outfit.

The outfit comes in eight colors: black, purple, blue, khaki, brown, pink, white, and light blue. The bundled hairstyle is a short cut with a long nape, offered in twelve colors with shape keys that change the length of the front and back sections.

Polygons run to △143,675 for the outfit and △14,228 for the hair, with 31 and 17 physics bone components respectively, plus a PSD for edits. Twenty avatars are supported. #3: Daradara Biyori / DD closet

A camisole and sweat shorts with an off-shoulder top slipping down over them. A sleep mask with cat ears sits on the head, and slouched leg warmers gather at the ankles. It landed at #3 (9,800 likes at aggregation).

It comes in eight colors — pink, orange, mint, light blue, grey, charcoal, black, and navy — with the sleep mask and leg warmers shifting to match. It was published as DD closet's first free outfit.

What stands out in the build is that it uses exactly one material and no 4K textures. The more materials an outfit splits into, the heavier the whole avatar gets to draw; this one fits on a single sheet, with texture resolution kept down as well. Polygons come to △101,190.

#4: Summer Dew / #Relee

A white camisole and shorts under a sheer overlay — summer loungewear with beach sandals and a paper fan, styled as if sitting in front of a fan on a hot afternoon. It landed at #4 (8,295 likes at aggregation). It's a new release from #Relee — the creator behind the popular Common Days outfit.

At the center of this one is sweat running down the skin. Droplets trail along the neck and thighs as an animation, and body and face can be toggled separately. The fabric follows suit: four materials cover fully wet, half-wet, normal, and dry, so the sheerness tracks how much sweat is showing. The idea of picturing heat carries all the way down into the material setup.

There are handheld props too. The watermelon gimmick steps through four stages — a full slice, two bites in, three bites in, and the rind — so you can show it being eaten down.

Colors run to eight, including white, pink, green, purple, navy, and black, with a separately drawn fan pattern for each. The draw here is that the patterns branch three ways. Solid, gingham, and polka dot together make 17 colorways, and the same silhouette reads very differently across them. The range runs from settled navy and yellow through a sharp black-and-pink pairing to pale blues and mints, and the platform sandals come in matching colors.

A frilled blouse under layer after layer of belts, paired with a tiered mini skirt and lace-up boots. A rabbit plush and a heart-shaped pouch hang at the waist, and a ribbon trails from the beret. It landed at #6 (7,202 likes at aggregation). It's a new release from VELLIE, the creator behind RUIN SAILOR - DISTRICT, which took #5 in the June report.

Eleven colors are available: white, black, pink, magenta, purple, turquoise, light blue, mint, orange, brown, and navy. The beret ribbon, the lacing on the thigh-highs, and the boot laces all shift together, so the silhouette holds while the balance between sweet and sharp moves.

Support covers 19 avatars including Shinano, Milfy, Airi, Shinra, and Manuka. The position and size of belts, pouches, and bags can be adjusted against their corresponding bones. Clipping around joints is handled by the avatar's own Shrink shape keys, and the page notes that physics bones should be switched off when body-shape keys are in use.

The rollout is worth noting as well. A preview page opened ahead of release alongside a repost campaign, and for every 100 likes the product page gained, one more winner was added to the draw — the same structure as the June release, folding the page's own response into the campaign. It's a new release from Ene Collection — the creator behind the popular Sailor Maiden outfit.

The depth here is in the color count. Built around white and black, it extends through pink, lavender, mint, navy, grey, beige, and turquoise to 19 colorways, with the beret, socks, and boots changing as a set. The same uniform stretches from tight monochrome to pale pastel.

#8: The Mafia Widow / EDEN Oasis

A veiled hat over a black dress, with an oversized coat draped from the shoulders — mourning dress, essentially. The sleeves are floral lace, and a white holster sits against the thigh garter. It landed at #8 (6,905 likes at aggregation). It's a new release from EDEN Oasis — the creator behind the popular Velvet Curse Dress.

This outfit carries a gimmick that drives the handgun and the coat. The gun responds to hand gestures, and the coat's spread is controlled by a menu parameter. Running it requires the latest Gesture Manager along with Modular Avatar, and the page spells out that the motion should be checked either in Gesture Manager or inside VRChat.

The mesh comes to ▲125,584 across eight pieces — coat, dress, inner top, hat, stockings, shoes, underwear, and the gun — with five materials. Colors span black, wine red, navy, purple, grey, and white, and the feather and rose on the hat follow along.

A summer one-piece with three tiers of frills, worn with a wide-brimmed straw hat and a basket bag. Lace-up ribbon sandals finish the feet, with fine accessories at the neck and wrist. It landed at #9 (6,587 likes at aggregation). It's a new release from TEMPASUOOMORI — the creator behind the popular Sweetheart Knit outfit.

The breadth of this dress lives in how the colors are built. White, cream, light blue, and pink solids; eight gingham checks; strawberry, sunflower, small-floral, and hydrangea prints; then settled blacks and navies — 21 colors in all. Solids, checks, and florals share one product, so the same shape can read demure or sweet.

There's a tailoring trick as well. Removing the shoulder ribbons turns it into a bandeau-style dress, so one piece covers both bare shoulders and covered ones. The straw hat comes in frilled and plain versions, the basket bag in hand-carried and shoulder types, and drawers are included too.

A nun's silhouette layered with armor plating and glowing lines — a near-future habit. Black cloth falls from a white veil down the back, a cross sits at the chest, and a mask covers the mouth. It landed at #10 (6,548 likes at aggregation). It's another CYCR release, the second one the shop published in July alongside Off-Air at #2.

What makes this one interesting is that the full-body suit isn't built as a mesh. During setup you swap the avatar's Body material for one included in the package, and bare skin turns into a glossy black suit. It's a way to get that skin-tight read without adding a single polygon, and the replacement materials are prepared per supported avatar.

The glowing lines switch between purple, light blue, red, and pink, and crosses are embroidered along the coat's hem. The bundled hairstyle is a long braid gathered to one side, offered in 15 colors, with shape keys for hair length plus an option that adjusts how the ends fall against different bust sizes.

Twenty avatars are supported. The outfit alone is ¥1,600, the outfit full set ¥2,900, the hairstyle ¥800, and both together ¥3,400 — the same structure as Off-Air. A dedicated preview world is published for this one as well.

Rather than the ranking, here's what the data says about all 343 outfits published on Booth in July 2026.

The median sits at 990 likes and the average at 1,588. The count rose from 333 in June to 343, the highest across three months, while the median price held flat at ¥1,200. Avatar support across the Top 10 ranges from 6 to 21, averaging about 17 — down from roughly 22 in June, largely because the top entry kept its list tight at six.

Supported models: Shinano, Milltina, and Manuka still lead

Shinano leads with 233, followed by Milltina at 178 and Manuka at 164 — the same three at the top as in May and June. Chocolat (159), Rurune (154), Milfy (146), Airi (139), Chiffon (128), Eku (127), and Mayo (124) follow.

For sheer breadth of support, this one sat just outside the Top 10.

SEREL STUDIO®'s "Leather Bodysuit Set" layers a rider's jacket and long boots over a glossy black bodysuit. Harness, sunglasses, and gloves included, it fits into ▲103,042 across four materials. Alongside regulars like Shinano, Mayo, and Milltina, it reaches Linne, SiuSiu, Kaguya, and Lapwing for 19 avatars in total.

Another release brings a whole character along with it.

mellowmare's "Love Bite Sailor" builds a sailor look in pink and black, then adds bat wings, a tail, horns, and an eyepatch. The wings carry a menu gimmick: a slider shrinks them, and a toggle switches to a flapping animation. Support covers 18 avatars, and the whole set including ribbons and bags comes to ▲130,012.

Outfit type: short pants and swimwear carry the month

The leading outfit types are short pants (93), swimsuits (74), boots (63), sandals (57), bikinis (57), and jackets (44). Short pants and swimwear, level in June, both grew, and sandals at 57 brought summer down to the feet as well. Keyword counts back this up with summer wear at 18 and midriff at 50. The Top 10 carries three summer looks: Summer Dew at #4, Fluffy Summer at #5, and Summer Romance Onepiece at #9.

From the swimwear side, here's one built for the poolside.

ILE's "Harushion" pairs a white bikini with a striped wrap and sunglasses. Both halves of the bikini carry physics-bone driven movement, and a water bottle pulled from the menu sprays when you clench your hand. A setting to switch the whole gimmick off is included, and 20 avatars are supported.

On the short-pants side, the gear itself caught my eye.

mashiro's "Core Pace" combines a cap and headphones with a leg belt and a water bottle for a techwear-leaning look. A numbered cap and shorts with a bag slung across the body give it the lightness of someone about to break into a run. Support covers 21 avatars, with bust and waist shape keys specified individually for each.

Taste: sexy leads, girly and casual sit level

Leading tastes are sexy (108), girly (88), casual (87), street (84), cool (80), and dark (56). Sexy holds the top spot on its own for a second month, with girly and casual one count apart below it. The growth in summer wear lines up with keyword counts for revealing (21) and midriff (50).

Here's one that reads sexy through a Japanese lens.

RINNETOKYO's "Tsuruhane" layers a white haori over a black bodice with red tassels. Rotation Constraints keep the arms moving naturally, and the page walks through disabling them before changing body proportions and re-enabling afterwards. Support covers 21 avatars, and the hair was provided ahead of release by MOMORI for the styling.

On the girly side, one release pushed through on sheer color count.

Makimakidou's "MeltyBearMaid" adds bear-paw gloves and a donut charm to a maid outfit. On top of 21 colors named after sweets — blueberry, choco mint, macaron, marshmallow — it includes seasonal colorways for Christmas and Valentine's. Four people split the work across costume design, supervision, modeling, and thumbnail production, and 25 avatars are supported.

Color: white edges past black

The color spread runs white (302), black (294), pink (158), light blue (153), red (145), and grey (130). Black led white by about ten counts in June, but July put white on top. Light blue at 153 closing on pink in third is summer showing up directly in the palette.

From the white side, here's one that works through silhouette.

murr's "Knead 102" puts together a loose shirt and trousers for a formal-leaning look. It's the second piece in the shop's "Knead" line, and accent accessories come with the set. At △117,046, it applies the avatar's own shape keys and MA Mesh Cutter to the outfit parts automatically, so changing body proportions needs no work on the outfit side.

On the black side, the knit texture stayed with me.

FOXYPLAY's "Slitone" pairs a cable-knit crop top with lace thigh-highs. A chest collider is built into the outfit, and registering it with the avatar's physics bones softens the movement — a step the shop walks through on video. Support covers 22 avatars.

Included accessories: belts and chokers on top

Among accents bundled into outfit sets, the leaders are belts (81), chokers (76), ribbons (71), necklaces (66), hats (57), and chains (54). The order of belts, chokers, and ribbons held from June, with belts staying at the top for a third month. The Top 10 bears this out: the harness at #1, the layered belts at #6, and the thigh holster at #8 all put something strapped around the body at the center.

Here's one that makes the ribbon the main event.

Koukla's "Dawn Shrine Maiden" adds oversized ribbons and paper talismans to a red-and-white shrine maiden outfit. A gesture menu calls up an animation that adjusts bust size, and toggles let you show or hide each part of the costume individually. Support covers 11 avatars, with a per-avatar shape key compatibility table published so buyers can check before purchase.

Price: about 64% sits in the ¥1,000–1,999 band

The price spread runs free (24), ¥1–499 (13), ¥500–999 (60), ¥1,000–1,999 (218), ¥2,000–2,999 (20), ¥3,000–4,999 (4), and ¥5,000+ (4). The ¥1,000–1,999 band holds 218 items, about 64%, up from roughly 54% in June. Free releases came to 24, rising for a third straight month from 14 in May and 19 in June.

From the ¥500–999 band, here's one that puts everything into a single piece of play.

ParfaIt's "Teddy Nap" pairs light blue loungewear with a bear-print sleep mask and an oversized cardigan. The menu moves the mask down, and lowering it past 80% triggers a "ZZZ" effect. One control produces the whole sleepy gesture, upload size stays at 8.2 MB, and 22 avatars are supported.

In the free band, Daradara Biyori at #3 reached 9,800 likes. The count of 24 is the highest across three months, and it lines up with loungewear keywords — 21 for room wear alone — climbing the list.

July 2026 through an outfit creator's eyes

Here are four angles worth noting from the Top 10 and the July figures as a whole. I've lined up three months so the differences against the May and June reports are visible.

July 2026's new outfits made one thing plain: how a piece is first handed over showed up directly in the ranking. The top spot was a giveaway open for twelve days around a shop's third anniversary, #3 was a shop's first free outfit, and #5 also began with a short free window right after release. Free releases reached 24 overall, the most in three months, and the pattern of opening a window around an anniversary or a milestone lined up across the upper half.

What comes after the handover got richer too. Sweat running down skin and a watermelon eaten down bite by bite, a handgun raised by a hand gesture, a CRT television that replaces a head, a material that turns bare skin into a suit — none of it stops at the moment of dressing. Opening the doorway wide, and giving people something to do once they walk through it — the creators who built up both inside a single piece are the ones who shaped the top of July.
