Every week, this "Trending Snapshot" captures the newest Booth releases pulling in likes the fastest, ranked by how quickly those likes pile up. When something climbs this fast, there's always a reason behind it — and reading that reason from both the work itself and the way it was released is what this weekly report is for. It's written for creators, to send you home with a hint for your next project.

The September 7, 2026 issue (measured September 7) is led by a light, short bob that bundles bell-tipped cat ears and a matching tail into one set. Three days after release, it had 3,964 likes. Let's start there.

This Week's Top 10

This ranking divides each item's like count at measurement time by the days since release, so it reads as momentum rather than cumulative popularity. Brand-new releases can sit near the top if they're climbing fast.

#1: Stellar Kitty Hair / Studio4NIMARU

3,964 likes in three days. A short bob with flicked-out ends, paired with bell-tipped cat ears and a matching tail. A new release from Studio4NIMARU — the creator behind the popular "StarCross Bob Hair."

This isn't hair alone. A black headband and a star-shaped clip sit on top, with a golden halo floating above them. One cat ear carries a gold bell; the tail adds a ribbon, another bell, and a star charm at the tip.

The palette runs to twelve shades, split evenly between a light side — silver-white, pale pink, mint — and a dark side of black, navy, deep brown and forest green. The tail trim comes in three colors, and a PSD ships for texture editing.

Supported avatars are Kumaly, Manuka, Shinano, Plum, Milfy, Milltina, Ramune, Mayo, Fyuett and Kaguya — ten in total. List price is ¥800; at measurement time it was on sale at ¥590 through September 12 (an identical support edition sits alongside at ¥1,000).

#2: Blue Sky / szrr

3,361 likes in three days. A studio apartment perched on a rooftop, sold as a VRChat world asset. Released by szrr.

What usually fills this tally is something you wear or something you hold. This week, the place you stand in arrived instead. The window opens onto the sea and a suspension bridge; the rooftop outside carries a water tower and railings, and an exterior staircase leads to a second-floor room you can walk into (the page notes it's built for its exterior, with no interior detailing inside).

The smart part of the room is that the display space is left open on purpose. Picture frames, photo stands and the wall-mounted jacket use swappable materials, so duplicating a material from the edit folder and dropping in your own image is all it takes. Even the intended ratios are written out: 16:9 for the frames and stands, 1:1 for the jacket.

A sample world is up in VRChat, so you can walk through before deciding. Quest isn't supported, but commercial use is permitted with no credit required, which extends it to comic and illustration backdrops or stream overlays. The page states a planned list price of ¥1,000; at measurement time it was ¥100 through September 9.

#3: Marette / velvetsky

5,671 likes in five days. A full marine set, from an anchor-crested sailor cap down to the shoes. A new release from velvetsky — the creator behind the popular "Chromium."

A wide navy scarf ties at the chest above a cropped top, worn with a gold-buttoned wrap skirt. White frills run along the hem, and a trunk-style bag completes it. The anchor charm at the throat, the leg ribbon and the cuffs all carry the same motif.

Tops come in short-sleeve, long-sleeve and sleeveless; skirts in long and short; hats in a beret and a brimmed sailor cap. The same set reshuffles into different silhouettes, which swings it from crisp white-and-navy to something much heavier in black and red. Colors span five sheets, adding beige and gold to those two staples.

One thing to plan for is the rigging. The skirt and necklace are driven by Constraints, so the page asks for the latest Modular Avatar when fitting, and for those Constraints to be switched off before adjusting body proportions. Twenty-one avatars are supported, each with its own chest and waist shape keys. List price is ¥1,800 single / ¥3,600 full pack, and a release sale was running at measurement time.

#4: Project Zero NO.20 (Outfit) / MariYuri

5,024 likes in five days. A test-subject outfit built from bandages and gauze, finished with an IV stand and chains. Released by MariYuri.

A thin slip dress sits under wrapped arms and legs, with cuffs at the wrists and ankles and chains trailing from both. An IV stand carrying a blood bag floats overhead alongside a metal ring — medical equipment standing in for a headpiece, which sets the tone for the whole set.

The parts sheet runs past twenty pieces: IV stand, neck cuff, harness, bandages, belts and chains. Supported avatars are Milltina, Shinano, Manuka, Kumaly, Airi, Chocolat, Plum, Chiffon, Rurune and Kaguya among fourteen, each with its own chest and hip shape keys. A PSD ships for texture edits, and a separate Material Pack is offered from the same page.

List price is ¥1,600 single / ¥3,600 full set; at measurement time a sale through September 17 put those at ¥1,100 and ¥2,600. The page also links out to the hair worn in the photos — the same-named release that landed at #7.

#5: Bewitching Midaris / KUROMARU9

7,729 likes in nine days. The avatar that topped the August 31 issue, built around the premise that whatever she touches turns to gold. It ships with expression-lock and eye-control gimmicks, and lists a MochiFitter conversion profile as a ¥0 option on the same page.

She added close to 2,000 likes since last issue and holds #5 on momentum. ¥10,000.

#6: Late Morning / ParfaIt

7,435 likes in ten days. The oversized-shirt look that took #2 in the August 31 issue. Both the shirt and the underwear come undone through grab-and-pull, and a menu item has her hold the necktie in her mouth.

Twenty-three avatars supported. List price is ¥990 single / ¥2,490 full pack, and at measurement time its event sale had been extended through September 12.

#7: Project Zero NO.20 (Hair) / MariYuri

3,728 likes in five days. The hair that shares its name with the outfit at #4, released the same day. A new release from MariYuri — the creator behind the popular "Messy Long Hair."

From the front it reads as a jaw-length bob with flicked ends, but the back and side strands fall almost to the floor. A black headband sits on top, gauze and a bandage patch mark the cheek, and bandaged beast ears stand above.

Sixty-two shape keys cover bang length and side volume, and the beast ears move independently on each side — up or down, long or short, big or small. A slight difference between left and right changes the whole expression, so the same hair can be tuned to taste.

It comes in at 31,545 triangles with two materials and fifteen colors, and colliders are set up out of the box for thirteen supported avatars. List price is ¥1,000 single / ¥1,300 full set; at measurement time a sale through September 17 put those at ¥790 and ¥990. The promo video is the same single clip used for the outfit at #4, showing both in one piece of footage.

#8: Sera_Yura / LookVook

5,085 likes in seven days. A white sailor top layered over a glossy high-cut bodysuit, kept monochrome throughout. A new release from LookVook — the creator behind the popular "LV.5 Lolly_Dolly."

A red scarf knots at the sailor collar, above a black pleated miniskirt, elbow-length gloves and thigh-highs. The familiar sailor silhouette stays intact while the material underneath is swapped out for latex.

Variation sheets split into four families: cow print, latex sheen, hologram, and conventional colorways. The same silhouette can read as glossy black or as soft pastel depending on which you pick.

There's a sound layer too. The bells at the choker and chest ring from a menu, split between left, right and the choker itself. Shrink shape keys are included for joint distortion, already applied to the prefabs in the Modular folder. Nineteen avatars are supported. Pricing runs ¥1,500 single / ¥3,000 full package through September 30, and the page states in advance that it moves to ¥1,800 and ¥3,600 on October 1.

#9: GaeaRhythm / masopp

4,579 likes in seven days. An Egyptian-Halloween outfit cut for small-bodied avatars. Released by masopp for Kipfel and Rilleo of the Mamefrenz line.

Jackal ears painted in gold and navy, a sash carrying an ankh, gold arm rings. Three variants — α, β and γ — hold the same world while changing the figure entirely: α leads with a white robe, β offers a choice of trousers or skirt, and γ pulls an Anubis head over the whole face. The three layer over each other, so the full set can be recombined.

There's a fourth figure as well: Medjed, the sheet-draped form with only the feet showing. It's meant to be worn with the body, hair, ears and tail hidden. The platform soles run high, so the page points to the free FloorAdjuster tool for matching foot height.

The work was split between two people — Kurosuke handled modeling, bones and weights, while Maso covered the outfit design, textures and promo art. List prices are ¥900 for each of α, β and γ, with a full set of all three plus Medjed at ¥2,300. At measurement time a release sale through September 7 put those at ¥500 and ¥1,300, and Medjed was being given away free over the same window.

#10: Fallen_Servant / EdgeMode

7,019 likes in twelve days. The dark maid outfit with demon horns and bat wings that took #4 in the August 31 issue. Two headbands ship with it — bunny ears and horns — across eleven colorways.

Twenty-two avatars supported. List price is ¥1,800 single / ¥3,600 full pack; at measurement time it was on sale at ¥990 and ¥1,980.

Category Picks (#11–#30)

The Top 10 already covered hairstyles, outfits, avatars and worlds, but there are plenty of new faces between #11 and #30. Worlds sit this one out, since the single world in the thirty is the one at #2. Among avatars, Midaris at #5 and Melvii at #24 were both covered in earlier issues, as was Mucho at #21 among gimmicks.

Outfits

Fourteen of the thirty risers are outfits, six of them already covered in the Top 10. From #11 down, here are three that picture very different wearers.

First, one that puts you behind a bakery counter.

SEI10's "Heart Baker" is #12 (1,840 likes in three days). A puff-sleeve blouse under a white apron and a gingham frill skirt — a server's outfit through and through.

Two types ship: TYPE 1 built around the apron, TYPE 2 adding a sailor collar, each in six colors. A bunny-eared beret, a name tag, a wristwatch, a belled choker and a plush rabbit hung at the waist come with it, so the props alone sell the role. It runs 127,107 triangles with eight materials, across twelve avatars including Shinano, Airi, Manuka and Chocolat. List price is ¥890 single / ¥1,780 full set, on sale through September 11 at ¥700 and ¥1,400. A giveaway was running alongside on X, with ten full sets drawn from reposts and follows.

Next, a wide silhouette that doesn't trace the body.

Tsuna Shop's "Void cargo" is #13 (3,068 likes in six days). A cropped tank over wide cargo pants lined with straps and buckles, kept strictly monochrome.

Two colorways — white reads clean, black sinks heavy. The whole set comes to 30,278 triangles, and drops in under the avatar with Modular Avatar. The supported list is the notable part: Alué, Baku, Komano, Minase and Shuan mean half of the ten are masculine builds. It's ¥800, with an "upload edition" at ¥1,000 that includes avatars added later; at measurement time that edition was ¥800. A 24-hour window on release day, September 2, let people take the standard edition home free.

Third, a set where the props make the job.

EDEN Oasis's "SHADOW × AGENT" is #26 (2,106 likes in five days). A fedora and long coat, with a harness and holster strapped over them — a secret agent, kitted out.

Chained glasses, an ID card at the chest, a thigh holster, a pistol and a crested briefcase are all in the box, so the role lands the moment you add them. Bottoms split into a tight skirt and trousers, with four color families of four each. Twenty-one avatars are supported, including the masculine Hanka, Komano and Zev plus SiuSiu and the shared +Head base. The page opened September 2, with sales starting at 16:00 on September 4. List price is ¥1,700 single / ¥3,500 full set, on sale through September 11 at ¥1,250 and ¥2,500.

Hairstyles

Hairstyles account for eight of the thirty, the thickest this series has seen. With #1 and #7 covered above, here are three more from #11 down.

First, the one that came closest to the Top 10.

Zenmai's "Side Tail Bun" is #11 (1,831 likes in three days). A small bun gathered loosely behind one ear, with a long tail falling from it down one side.

Loose strands are deliberately left out of the bun, which softens the outline from the front and in profile alike. The palette spans three rows and more than a dozen shades, from grounded blacks and browns out to pink, wisteria and pale blue. Fourteen avatars are supported, including Airi, Chocolat, Ichigo and Kipfel. The page states plainly that no colliders are set up, so clipping is left for you to handle.

Next, one given away for free.

ja.'s "001." is #15 (1,959 likes in four days). A free straight-long style with heavy bangs covering the eyebrows and strands falling flat.

Bangs, side strands and back hair are split into separate parts, so you can swap just the bangs or drop the side pieces. Six shades ship: black, grey, dark brown, rose brown, cream and pink. Five avatars are supported — Artemis, Lumina, Misaki, Shinra and Shuan. The item name reads "001." and the shop name "ja.", and the description keeps to supported avatars and file contents.

Third, a style that puts its highlight at the back.

Cyber Marimo Lab's "Lucelia Pony" is #25 (2,157 likes in five days). A soft braided ponytail topped with a large ribbon and a bunny-ear headband.

The ribbon trails down the back, which is where the design puts its weight. Twelve colorways run from cream and pink through navy, dark brown and black. It's Modular Avatar-ready, so dropping the prefab under the avatar handles setup. Nine avatars are supported, including Shinano, Airi, Manuka and Milfy — and each of the nine sample shots was photographed by a different model. It's numbered "Cyber Marimo Lab No.12" in an ongoing series; list price ¥1,000, on sale at ¥700 through September 9.

Gimmicks & Tools

Two of the thirty are gimmicks or tools. Mucho at #21 has been covered across four issues, so here's the new entry.

Matsukawa Ikari ni Makasete Tsukutta Monotachi's "Matsukawa's Furious Sway Bone Auto-Generator" is #14 (1,581 likes in two days). An editor extension that grows bones inside boneless meshes and makes them sway, entirely within Unity.

Try adding sway to a prop or garment you bought, and you may find it has no bones at all. Normally that means opening Blender, building the bones and painting which vertices follow which — before you can even start. This tool keeps that work in Unity.

It reads vertex positions only and never looks at bone names, splitting the mesh by connected chunks and deciding how many bones to lay in from the spread of each cross-section. That means it behaves the same on avatars from overseas with unusual naming, or on props you modeled yourself. When the automatic result isn't what you pictured, you can draw the bone path directly by tracing over a view from any of six directions. On continuous surfaces like a chest or hips, weights ease back toward the original motion at the edge of your selection so the boundary doesn't tear open.

Sway behavior comes as presets for hair, skirts, tails, ribbons, ears and capes, and you can name your own settings, export them and pass them to other people. The tool shows what it's about to do before you press the button, Ctrl+Z undoes it, and generated sway can be removed later even after Unity has been closed.

What stands out on the page is that the things it won't do are listed with the same care. It doesn't fix clipping, doesn't create colliders, and does nothing at all to shapes it can't read — printing the reason on screen when it skips something. It's free, with an identical "disinfectant fund" edition at ¥100.

Accessories

Two of the thirty are accessories, both new entries this issue.

First, a ring meant to be matched with someone.

Make Lab Samo's "Pair Sign Ring" is #28 (1,313 likes in four days). Two ring designs whose sharp V-lines make the finger read slimmer.

The stone at the center is the point: twelve birthstone materials ship with it, so a pair can split the months between them or match on one. The gem is a separate mesh and can be hidden, and scaling the ring turns it into a bracelet or an earring. RingA runs 1,654 triangles and RingB 1,683, and both mount under any bone you choose. ¥500.

Second, a set of ears that move on their own.

MT47's "sugar_usa" is #30 (1,533 likes in four days). Lace-ribboned bunny ears with hairpins and a doughnut, all in pastel.

The ears carry an animation, so they twitch on their own once equipped, and the page hints that pulling the doughnut triggers something. Hairpins come in three shapes — ribbon, bar and bunny — across four colorways: black-beige, purple, pink and pale blue, at 4,974 triangles total. A position-matched prefab ships for Milfy, and adjustment shape keys and bones make it workable on other avatars. List price ¥400; at measurement time it was free through September 10, with a PSD-included support edition at ¥200.

Avatars

Three of the thirty are avatars, and Midaris at #5 and Melvii at #24 have both appeared before. The remaining one hadn't gone on sale yet at measurement time.

FLASTORE's "Kogomi" is #29 (1,174 likes in three days). A tanuki girl with ears peeking out of a beanie and a camera hung at her neck. Only the product page was open at measurement time, with sales announced for 18:00 on September 12.

Expression shape keys number 917, driveable independently per side, with Perfect Sync and MMD shapes supported alongside expression lock and eye control. The PC build runs 95,548 triangles, 84,062 without the camera, and 41,648 for the dress-up base. On top of those, a Mobile build under 10,000 triangles (9,994, one material) is included, so the same look travels to crowded events full of Meta Quest, Pico 4 and iOS users.

The camera isn't decoration. Pull the trigger near it to take it in hand, then squeeze to actually shoot a photo. Holding up VRChat's own camera saves the shot, and a Rock'n'Roll sign pins the camera in place. She uses FLASTORE's shared "Bodyset2" base, so outfits made for earlier releases such as Nemo and Wolfram fit as-is, with the compatibility list published as a spreadsheet. ¥6,000.

Reading the Risers

The population here is the Top 30 risers — items released within three months of the measurement date, ordered by momentum (the same thirty shown on the site's trending page). Here's what those thirty say about the moment.

Twenty-two of the thirty are new entries this issue, and twenty-two were released within the past week. Seven of the Top 10 turned over; the three that carried across are Midaris at #5, Late Morning at #6 and Fallen_Servant at #10.

Keywords: eight hairstyles, and a "place" at #2

In the keyword tally across the thirty, PSD Included leads for the third straight issue at six items, followed by Free at four, Prefab and Strand Definition at three each, and Midriff, Color Mask, Gradient, Monotone, For Photography and Lace-up among those at two.

The numbers say what the ranking says: this was a week for hair. Eight of the thirty risers are hairstyles, the most across the ten issues since the July 6 issue. Stellar Kitty Hair on top, Project Zero NO.20 at #7, Side Tail Bun at #11, 001. at #15 and Lucelia Pony at #25 span everything from a short bob to lengths that reach the floor — and the color-mask and strand-detail keywords follow from that spread.

Even so, what stood out most was Blue Sky at #2. This is the first world asset to reach the tally since the series began. Until now the upper board has been things you wear and things you hold — outfits, hair, avatars, gimmicks. This week a rooftop apartment you can hang your own photos in arrived as a place to stand. Set beside Kogomi at #29, who carries a camera that actually takes pictures, two items built for the photographer's side of the frame landed in the same week.

Supported models: Kaguya at 15, Milfy joins the top

The most-supported names were Shinano, Mayo, Manuka and Milfy at 18 each. Milltina, Rurune and Airi follow at 16, Chocolat at 15, and Kaguya, released on Booth in July, has climbed to 15 as well. Eleven in the August 10 issue, twelve on August 17, thirteen on August 31, and fifteen now — an avatar that appeared mid-summer has settled in at the top. Shinano, long alone in first, now shares the spot with three others.

At the same time, plenty in this issue aimed outside that list. Void cargo in the outfit picks supports ten avatars, half of them masculine builds — Alué, Baku, Komano, Minase and Shuan — while SHADOW × AGENT's twenty-one include Hanka, Zev, SiuSiu and the shared +Head base. 001. in the hair picks reaches five avatars: Artemis, Lumina, Misaki, Shinra and Shuan. GaeaRhythm at #9 targets exactly two, Kipfel and Rilleo. And Blue Sky at #2 has no supported-avatar field at all. Riding the standard group and counting a different crowd from day one sat side by side in the same thirty.

Price: a week of opening cheap

The volume zone is ¥1,000–1,999 with fourteen items, then ¥500–999 with nine, three free, three at ¥5,000 or above and one under ¥500. The median holds at ¥1,000, level with the August 31 issue.

All three items at ¥5,000+ are avatars: Midaris at ¥10,000, Kogomi at ¥6,000, Melvii at ¥5,500. The three free items spread across categories instead — the sway bone generator at #14, the 001. hair at #15, and Penguin Robe at #20.

Looking at what was actually charged at measurement time, this issue stacked up releases opened far below list price. Blue Sky states a planned ¥1,000 and sold at ¥100 through September 9; Stellar Kitty Hair lists at ¥800 and sold at ¥590 through September 12; sugar_usa lists at ¥400 and was free through September 10. GaeaRhythm at #9 was giving away its Medjed form through September 7. As always, every price and sale here is a snapshot from the measurement date, and most are time-limited.

Closing Thoughts

The thing that caught my eye this issue was the rooftop apartment at #2. Across ten issues, the upper board has been filled with outfits, hair, avatars and gimmicks — things you wear and things you hold. This week, for the first time, a place to stand and take a photograph arrived. And the picture frames and wall jacket are built to be swapped, so hanging a shot of your own is part of what the asset is for.

In the same week, an avatar with a working camera at her neck sat at #29, and a hairstyle bundling cat ears and a tail took the top spot. Something to be photographed in, something to photograph with, and somewhere to do it — all three landed in the same thirty. From changing clothes to meet someone, through to keeping a picture of that evening: which part of the time people spend in VRChat a creator chooses to support seems to be widening, a little at a time.

• Inclusion: VRCFinder's database only collects items with 300 or more likes, so anything below that threshold at measurement time isn't in this tally
