[July 20, 2026] VRChat Trending Snapshot — This Week's Fastest-Rising on Booth

Every week, this "Trending Snapshot" captures the newest Booth releases pulling in likes the fastest, ranked by how quickly those likes pile up. When something climbs this fast, there's always a reason behind it — and reading that reason from both the work itself and the way it was released is what this weekly report is for. It's written for creators, to send you home with a hint for your next project.

The July 20, 2026 issue (measured July 20) is led by an original avatar whose nine tails can be dialed anywhere from one to nine. Ten days after release it had gathered over 13,000 likes, holding first place for a second week running. Let's start there.

It lists items released on Booth within the last three months with 300+ likes, ordered by how fast those likes accumulate (likes ÷ days since release; measured 2026-07-20). This Week's Top 10

This is a momentum ranking — likes at measurement time, divided by days since release. It's not ordered by total likes, so even brand-new releases climb to the top if they're gaining fast.

#1: Kaguya -kaguya- / IKUSIA

At 13,276 likes ten days after release — holding around 1,300 likes a day — the nine-tailed original avatar took first place again this week. It's IKUSIA's release, covered in detail in last issue (July 13, 2026); it shares a base body with Mizuki and Rurune, and its tail count can be set anywhere from one to nine from the menu.

It added about 6,500 likes over the past week, holding its momentum for a second week at the top. At measurement time it was on a launch sale, offered at ¥5,000 against its ¥6,000 list price.

#2: Silent Code / CYCR

4,000 likes three days after release. It's a new release from CYCR (Cyber Critter) — the creator behind the popular "Midnight Fox 2.0" — a hair-included outfit that reworks a nun's habit into a cyber look.

Over a glossy black bodysuit it layers a long, cross-marked veil and wimple, threaded with neon lines and a honeycomb pattern. It's a piece that puts the stillness of prayer next to hard-edged near-future styling, covering 20 avatars including the hair. The hair recolors to many shades, and there's a dedicated preview world to try the whole thing in.

Part of why it's climbing is the way it was released. CYCR was giving away a matching grimoire prop, "Silent Index" (see Props below), for free at the same time — using the free small item to catch people and pass them along to this main outfit. At measurement time it was on a launch sale, listed at ¥1,600 for the outfit alone, ¥2,900 for the full set, and ¥3,400 for the full set with hair.

#3: Jelly Bloom Halo / Harusame Zakkaten

3,112 likes three days after release. A glowing halo shaped like a jellyfish, drifting softly overhead. Harusame Zakkaten is a shop that makes a lot of small accessories, and true to its name, this one keeps a flower-like jellyfish swaying above your head.

Halos usually sit fixed on top of the head, but here the sway settings are tuned to a jellyfish's motion, so the whole thing drifts every time you move. It comes in 8 color variations and glows in dark spaces.

It's a general accessory with no avatar or outfit included, usable on any avatar, at 3,806 polygons. At measurement time it was free for a limited period through July 21. Being able to try a genuinely eye-catching subject — sway plus glow — for free is part of what's fueling the early climb.

#4: Lucid-Hair / MOMORI

4,623 likes five days after release. A new release from MOMORI — the creator behind the popular "Asmodeus" — long hair with flower accents and a gradient carried all the way to the tips.

It's built in layers from the front bangs to the back, with a large flower accessory set to the side. You can freely change the hair color through lilToon's color correction, and the tip gradient just by swapping the second main color. It covers 18 avatars.

The styling on the product page pairs it with RINNETOKYO's Japanese-style outfits (including Crane Wing, #24 this issue). Last issue, Crane Wing borrowed MOMORI's hair in turn — you can see hair and outfits moving back and forth between the two creators. At measurement time it was on a limited sale, offered at ¥690 against its ¥790 list price.

#5: Soft Skin Material / Meta Space

2,424 likes two days after release. A lilToon material preset that tunes skin quality, usable on any avatar.

Out of the box, an avatar's skin renders shadows and gloss differently from avatar to avatar — sometimes too shiny, sometimes flat. Fixing it means tuning shadows, rim light, outlines, gloss and so on one by one, which takes time if you're not used to it.

This preset bundles all those skin settings into one package called "Soft Skin." Open the skin tab in the material preset menu, pick the name, and shadows, rim shader, gloss, rim light, outlines, and anisotropic reflection all apply at once.

It pulls skin toward a smooth, low-sheen finish in a single step, so you can give any avatar a natural skin quality without knowing the fine settings. In a ranking full of flashy outfits and avatars, this quiet tool gathering 2,400 likes in two days says a lot of people want cleaner skin. At measurement time it was on a launch sale, offered at ¥500 against its ¥800 list price.

#6: Stella Marshal / Ene Collection

4,147 likes five days after release. A new release from Ene Collection — the creator behind the popular "Sailor Maiden" — a military-styled mini dress paired with a white brimmed cap.

A black dress lined with gold buttons, shoulder-baring sleeves, a waist belt, a thigh strap, thigh-highs, and a white cap on top. A beret and diamond-shaped earrings are also included, with the whole look pulled tight in black and white. It covers 18 avatars.

Variations run from plain black-and-white to plaid and muted tones. At measurement time it was on a launch sale, with list prices of ¥1,300 for the single item and ¥3,400 for the full set.

#7: Slitone / FOXYPLAY

3,168 likes four days after release. A new release from FOXYPLAY — the creator behind the popular "STRYDE" — a cropped cable-knit turtleneck baring the midriff, paired with a tie-string bikini and thigh-highs for a summer knit look.

The contrast between the plush knit turtleneck and the heavily exposed lower half is what carries the piece, covering 22 avatars. For those who want a softer chest bounce, there's a guide for adding a collider.

The knit comes in black, cream, blue, pink and more, with several colors and patterns for the bikini too. At measurement time it was on a summer sale, with list prices of ¥990 for the single item and ¥1,980 for the full set.

#8: Harushion / ILE

2,173 likes two days after release. A summer set centered on striped and cow-print bikinis, set poolside. ILE is a shop that has worked on summer outfits — the popular "Esmera" among them — and this one runs on the same waterside air.

The eye-catcher is the water bottle: you pull it out from the menu, and squeezing your hand makes water pour out — a small item built to play with. The bikini top and bottom each carry sway gimmicks, and a cover-up and sandals are included too. It covers 20 avatars.

There are color variants in blue, black and more. At measurement time it was on a launch sale, with list prices of ¥1,400 for the single item and ¥3,000 for the full set. Beyond the swimsuit itself, the water-bottle prop lets you build the whole "cooling off at the pool" scene — that's the fun of this summer piece.

#9: 3rd PINK♡PUDDING / PINK♡PUDDING

13,781 likes nineteen days after release. It's PINK♡PUDDING's 3rd-anniversary outfit, covered as the top spot in the July 6 issue and at #3 in last issue (July 13). It was a piece with a black zip hoodie layered with a necktie and harness, right down to a backpack hung with a plush charm.

Released for a limited window to mark the shop's third anniversary, it's held on at #9 nearly three weeks after release.

#10: Luminous Bunny / Nishikaze Gakudan

2,203 likes four days after release. A glossy silver bunny suit tailored without any extra ornament. Nishikaze Gakudan states it "pursued the classic," and true to that, this one is pared down to the beauty of a plain bunny suit.

The metallic silver fabric, black tights, an orange bow tie, and bunny ears make up a piece covering 12 avatars. It supports staples including the top-ranked Kaguya, plus Shinano, Chocolat, Plum and more.

Tied to "Bunny Day" on August 2 and 21, it's given away free for a limited period through July 20 (conditions: follow the shop and like the product page). Paring it down to the classic, plus a release timed to the occasion, made its early climb.

Category Picks (#11–#30)

The Top 10 inevitably leans toward the strongest categories, so from here we go through #11–#30 category by category. This issue we could pull from six: outfits, hair, accessories, gimmicks & tools, avatars, and props.

Outfits

19 of the 30 rising items are outfits — the deepest category again this week. From the ones that didn't make the Top 10, here are two whose releases stood out.

First, a street-leaning piece.

mashiro's "Core Pace" is #14 (2,710 likes, 5 days). A Y2K street look layering a black sports bra, an oversized jacket, and low-rise shorts, rounded out with a cap, headphones, and a big bag hung with a capybara plush. It covers 21 avatars, and built its early climb the usual way — running a giveaway campaign before launch, then releasing on July 17.

And two knit outfits for smaller avatars, in quick succession.

【RE】 rolled out two knit outfits at once, each with a bear patch on the back. "RE.Angel Knit" is #18 (1,400 likes, 1 day), made for the small-avatar group "Mamefriends" — represented by Kipfel and Mamehinata. It launched free on day one. The other, "RE.Moon Knit," is #23 (1,211 likes, 2 days), covering 10 avatars at ¥100. By lining up the same knit at different body types and prices, 【RE】 sent both works into the Top 30 together.

Hair

Hair makes up 4 of the 30. One new release following the Top 10's Lucid-Hair.

Cyber Marimo Lab's "Lunalop Twin" is #29 (1,493 likes, 4 days). Half-twin hair paired with big wolf ears and a crescent-moon halo. The ears carry an animation, always swaying gently and twitching in response to sounds. A trail of light particles left behind the halo whenever you move is another touch that gives it presence. It covers 16 avatars in 14 colors, and the halo and animation can each be toggled on and off from the menu.

Accessories

Accessories are 2 of the 30. Following the Top 10's Jelly Bloom Halo is a piece leaning Japanese.

#Aikawa Labo -MiniLabo-'s "Tsukikage Musubi" is #12 (3,582 likes, 6 days). Kanzashi hairpins for updos, made to pair with yukata and furisode. It combines three hairpins with dangling ornamental cords, tied together by a crescent-moon motif and mizuhiki-inspired decoration. Each hairpin moves individually, so you can adjust where it sits to match how the hair is tied up. Six colors across two sets. The summer-festival air that was thick last issue lingers here in the small accessories.

Gimmicks & Tools

Gimmicks & tools are 2 of the 30. A playful one, different in character from the Top 10's Soft Skin Material.

8ya's "Tide of Alba" is #22 (1,335 likes, 3 days). A gondola life-simulation game you play inside VRChat. Normally a VRChat world is a place to gather, talk, and take photos — but this one brings purpose-driven play, set in the water city of "Alba."

You become a gondolier, rowing through maze-like canals to earn money on deliveries, collecting driftwood, exploring sunken ruins, and buying furniture and plants to build your own room. Register it as your home world and you can return to that room anytime; furniture placement is saved on the world side, so you can visit even when the app isn't running.

A gimmick-equipped shared avatar is included, so you can play without preparing your own avatar. It needs a dedicated Windows app and is for PCVR. At measurement time it was on a release sale, offered at ¥2,000 against its ¥2,500 list price.

Avatars

Avatars are 2 of the 30. Alongside the top-ranked Kaguya, one more continues from outside the Top 10.

VRC Goho Cheat Kenkyukai's "Komane" is #25 (7,432 likes, 19 days). A wide-ranging avatar for customization — a tall build with a curvy body, plus muscle shape keys and even masculinizing shape keys. It packs gimmicks like sleep, head-pat, and crouch, with 372 facial shape keys. Beyond the standard version, there are two lightweight versions (including a Quest-ready 15,000-polygon build).

Its pricing is unusual: starting from a ¥5,000 list price, it opened at ¥500 and steps the price up week by week. At measurement time (July 18–24) it was ¥2,000, so the earlier you picked it up, the less you paid.

Props

Props are 1 of the 30 — a piece from the same maker as the cyber-styled nun outfit that landed in this week's Top 2.

CYCR (Cyber Critter)'s "Silent Index" is #28 (1,220 likes, 3 days). A glowing grimoire prop marked with crosses and light. Built in the same world as #2's Silent Code, it's cleverly designed in how it's given out: the grimoire was free for just three days, and after the free period it's available only inside the Silent Code bundle. Catch the eye with a free small item, then pass that momentum to the main outfit — the shop's two pieces landed together at #2 and #28.

Reading the Rising Set

The population for this ranking is the rising Top 30 — items released within the three months before the measurement date, ordered by momentum (the same 30 shown on the site's trending page). Let's read the mood from what's inside these 30.

19 of the 30 are this week's new entries, with a median age of 4 days. The lineup is, in effect, a snapshot of what happened on Booth over the past few days.

Keywords: easy setup, and summer skin

In the keyword tally across the rising 30, terms tied to editing and setup led — PSD included (6), free (5), lilToon compatible (4), glowing (4). On the content side, midriff-baring (3) and summer clothes / loungewear (2 each) sat together — skin-showing summer looks next to relaxed loungewear.

The Japanese-pattern, summer-festival swell that was thick last issue is shifting toward other summer expressions like swimsuits and knits. The Japanese element hasn't vanished, though — like Tsukikage Musubi in the accessories, small items leaning toward yukata linger on.

Supported models: Shinano in 22 of 30, and a rising Kaguya

The most-declared support went to Shinano (22), Chocolat (21), Plum (20), Milltina (20), and Milfy (20). The pattern where fast-rising releases finish simultaneous support for popular avatars up front holds again this week.

What stands out is that Rurune's support also climbed to 20. The top-ranked Kaguya shares a base body with Rurune and Mizuki, and many of this week's new releases — Slitone at #7, Core Pace in outfits, Lunalop Twin in hair — added Kaguya to their support lists early. When a rising avatar appears, the surrounding outfits and hair rush to add support all at once, and that shows up directly in the support numbers.

Price: all 5 free items are time-limited

Prices peak at ¥1,000–1,999 with 11 items, followed by ¥500–999 with 8, and free with 5. The median is ¥1,100, with the mass sitting in an accessible band around ¥1,000.

Look at what the 5 free items are: the jellyfish halo (#3, through July 21), the classic bunny suit (#10, through July 20), the first day of a Mamefriends knit (#18), and the cyber grimoire (#28, three days) — every one is a time-limited giveaway. It's less "free" itself and more whether the release designs until when and how it gives away, that shows up as the gap in early momentum. Note that the prices and sales here are all from the measurement date, and many are time-limited.
