[October 5, 2026] VRChat Trending Snapshot — This Week's Fastest-Rising on Booth

Every week, this "Trending Snapshot" captures the newest Booth releases pulling in likes the fastest, ranked by how quickly those likes pile up. When something climbs this fast, there's always a reason behind it — and reading that reason from both the work itself and the way it was released is what this weekly report is for. It's written for creators, to send you home with a hint for your next project.

The October 5, 2026 issue (measured October 5) is led by a hairstyle with two small bunches tied high on the head above hair that runs down to the thighs. It had 3,301 likes two days in. Let's start there.

🔎 About this article This is a quick digest of the new releases a lot of people are watching right now. It lists items released on Booth within the last three months with 300+ likes, ordered by how fast those likes accumulate (likes ÷ days since release; measured 2026-10-05). Rankings shift a lot depending on when VRCFinder collects data, so treat them as a rough guide. Like counts, giveaways, and sales are all snapshots from the measurement date — use this as a window onto what's new and talked-about.

A video version of this report (Japanese narration)

This Week's Top 10

This is a momentum ranking — likes at the measurement date divided by days since release. It isn't ordered by total likes, so something published only days ago can sit near the top.

#1: MY Half Twin / MariYuri

3,301 likes two days in. A half-twin hairstyle: two small bunches tied high on the head, above straight long hair that reaches the thighs. A new release from MariYuri, the creator behind the popular hairstyle "Messy Long Hair."

Each tie is wrapped in a black band with a silver buckle, and star-shaped pins hold the bangs. The back hair falls straight to around the thighs, and an ahoge stands at the crown.

It comes with 30 shape keys for fine-tuning the shape: the bangs step through shorter, longer and thicker versions, the side hair adjusts width, length and how far it leans forward or back, and the back hair changes length and spread. The ahoge can switch to a heart shape, and colliders are already set up on the body.

There are 13 colors — seven solids plus six two-tone combinations. It's 25,852 polygons across two materials, with a PSD included. Support covers Milltina, Shinano, Manuka, Kumaly, Airi, Lumina and 14 avatars in all. List price is ¥1,000 single and ¥1,300 for the full set; at the measurement date a sale through October 18 had them at ¥790 and ¥990.

#2: Mesh Mellow / NyaPPu

4,220 likes four days in. A tool that smooths out the seam where two meshes meet. Published by NyaPPu.

When you put a different avatar's head on a body, or add animal ears to a hairstyle, a step in the shading or a break in the color can be left where the parts meet. The neck seam especially tends to show up as a line, depending on how the light falls.

Point Mesh Mellow at a reference mesh and the mesh you want to fix, and it pulls the normals, colors and bone weights toward the reference side — only near the seam. It adds vertices where the meshes intersect to redraw the boundary more finely, and you set the blend distance and strength as numbers before checking the result in preview. It's non-destructive through NDMF, so the original meshes stay untouched.

The page is clear about what it doesn't do. It doesn't merge two meshes into one or fill gaps, and color blending works from the main texture only — it won't copy normal maps or shader-side color effects. NDMF and Modular Avatar are required. Between its October 1 release and October 3 it was updated three times, including a right-click menu to start the setup. It's ¥600.

#3: Simple Bob Hair / Melt Room

2,787 likes one day in. A straight bob cut cleanly below the chin, tucked behind the ear on one side. It's the only item on Melt Room's shop page.

The product page opened on the evening of October 4, and the hair is being given away free for one day only, October 5. The measurement was taken that same day, so it reached this like count roughly a day after the page went up. A ¥100 version is there for anyone who wants to add a thank-you.

Sample shots are taken on all eleven supported avatars, so paging through the product page lets you check the fit on your own avatar one image at a time. There are eleven colors, including black, dark brown, brown, deep red, pink, blue-violet, teal, gold and silver-white. Support covers Lumina, Misaki, Shinra, Shinano, Shuan, Milltina and 11 avatars in all, at 27,784 polygons, set up with lilToon and Modular Avatar.

#4: Tocolo / Bambi no Choujou

7,815 likes nine days in. A tool that recolors your avatar when you click the spot you want to change in Unity. I covered it in full at #3 in the September 28 issue; it had 4,929 likes two days in then, and reached 7,815 nine days in, with updates continuing all the while — on October 4 it gained a feature for placing images as decals. At the measurement date the launch-free window had ended: the Pro edition listed at ¥450 and a development-support edition with identical contents at ¥700, while the trial edition stays free.

#5: GothicBoneDress 2.0+ / Ameli3

10,313 likes eleven days after its page was republished. A white-and-black gothic dress built on bones and roses. I covered it in full as the leader of the September 28 issue; it had 10,113 likes then, and held on at #5 into its second week. The Halloween sale announced back then has started, and at the measurement date FullSet 2.0+ was ¥1,600 against a ¥1,800 list price.

#6: Yumeka / Arka_X

22,876 likes 26 days in. The free original avatar I covered at #2 in the September 21 issue, now in the Top 10 for three issues running.

#7: Ace Bunny / Kindan Ryouiki

2,492 likes two days in. A bunny outfit scattered with playing cards and casino pieces, layered under a long-tailed tailcoat. Kindan Ryouiki released it under the name "Area 01."

A glossy black bunnysuit comes with a bunny-ear headband carrying a die, a playing card and a name tag, and a chain hanging from the waist. Fishnet stockings, garters and a harness layer over the legs, and there are glasses plus diamond and heart hairpins. It works with the coat on, with the coat off, and with the stockings off too, down to just the harness — the layers come off one at a time.

It totals 264,460 polygons, split into 23 parts. There are 14 colorways built around black, with orange, wine, gray, white, pink, mint, lavender, blue and more. Support covers Shinano, Milltina, Mayo, Airi, Lumina, Manuka and 24 avatars in all.

The product page opened on October 3, with sales starting at 17:00 on October 5, and at the measurement date the purchase options still showed as outside the sales period. The page announces that until 23:59 on that first day only, the full set drops to ¥1,990 and a single to ¥990 (list price ¥3,800 for the full set and ¥1,700 single). Kindan Ryouiki also released a free pair of earrings, "AREA KEY," on September 30, which makes this outfit the second item on the shop's page and its first outfit.

#8: Dragon Enchant / Radiant-iseo

4,008 likes five days in. A dragon-themed set that pairs a horned hood with dragon wings, a scaled tail and a large staff. Radiant-iseo released it as an outfit suited to Halloween avatar edits.

Cross embroidery and crescent ornaments hang from the wide-sleeved black overcoat, and a belt and cross chain wrap the waist. The staff is a ring crossed with a cross, with a gem set in the center. The tail is long enough to reach the floor, with a glowing ornament at the tip.

The colorways split into black bases with accents in purple, red, blue, green, gold and more, and versions that turn everything white, from the hood to the staff. Support covers Shinano, Milfy, Milltina, Manuka, Airi, Lumina and 16 avatars in all. Three days after its September 30 release, a batch of per-avatar weight and position fixes landed as well. List price is ¥3,200 for the full set and ¥1,600 single, at ¥2,600 and ¥1,000 in a sale through October 17 on the measurement date.

#9: LV.18 Shuwa_Fuwa / LookVook

4,169 likes five days in. A cable-knit cardigan over a camisole and shorts — loungewear that even comes with a toothbrush. A new release from LookVook, the creator behind the popular outfit "Lolly_Dolly," and LV.18 in the numbered "LV." line the shop keeps putting out.

Under the off-the-shoulder cardigan you choose a camisole or a raglan T-shirt. Below are check-pattern shorts, with slouchy boots or ribboned slippers on the feet. There are two pairs of glasses — thin frames and heavy black rims — and a ribbon headband. Most of the sample shots show the avatars with the toothbrush in their mouths.

The colors run across eight sheets of pattern variations: solids, heather, polka dots, florals, checks, leopard, stars, paw prints and stripes. Support covers Kaguya, Rurune, Misaki, Mayo, Kumaly, Lumina and 19 avatars in all, with a PSD included. Pricing is announced in steps up front: the list price from November 1 is ¥1,600 single and ¥3,200 for the full package, and at the measurement date a release-period price through October 31 had them at ¥1,300 and ¥2,600.

#10: CANDY POP DINER / Tempas Ohmori

7,528 likes ten days in. An American diner crew on roller skates, built as a matching pair for masculine and feminine avatars. I covered it in full at #4 in the September 28 issue. From 5,228 likes three days in, it has climbed to 7,528 by day ten. List price is ¥2,000 for one avatar and ¥3,800 for the full set, with a launch sale through October 9 at the measurement date.

Category Picks (#11–#30)

The Top 10 covered hairstyles, tools, outfits and an avatar, and #11 through #30 hold more new arrivals. Luminous China at #12, Kirameki at #17, KAIHUA at #23, PipPipMeow at #28 and Protocol Lapse at #29 all carried over from earlier issues, so they sit this one out. There's no Avatars section this time, since the one avatar in the thirty is Yumeka at #6.

Outfits

Fifteen of the thirty are outfits, five of them already covered in the Top 10. From the six new ones below #10, I'm taking three of very different sizes — from a single jacket to a full head-to-toe look.

First, one that keeps it to a single jacket.

BLVK's "De Route N7" is #11 (3,949 likes, five days in). A cropped black jacket with a collar. It's a new release from BLVK, whom I also featured in the Outfits section of the September 21 issue.

Pattern variations are provided for both the front and the back, including orange leather, gold marbling on black, and rose embroidery filling the back. Support spans 25 avatars, centered on masculine models like Minase, Komano, Yuri, Nakiya, Kanata and Kuuta, with Shinano, Milfy, Shinra and others included — and even NyaNyaMaru, in cat form, can wear it. It's 12,980 polygons at ¥1,500. The page states that it will be included in the upcoming "BLVK S9 Fullset," with a note to avoid buying it twice.

Next, a full set built on denim.

LOOSE END.'s "PUNKY YANKEE" is #18 (2,240 likes, four days in). Ripped wide cargo denim with a plaid shirt tied around the waist. It's a new release from LOOSE END., the denim-only shop I also featured in the Outfits section of the August 31 issue.

The off-the-shoulder knit top laces up the front, over a white tube top. A newsboy cap, chunky boots, a bag with a bear charm, a star necklace and choker, and even a lollipop to hold in the mouth — it's split into 17 parts. There are twelve colorways, from green, orange and red plaids to all-over purple, light blue and pink. Support covers 21 avatars including Shinano, Mayo, Milltina, Milfy, Manuka and Chocolat, at 104,086 polygons. List price is ¥3,000 for the full set and ¥1,500 single, with an opening sale through October 10 at the measurement date.

Last, a layered look turned into a set.

Luca's "Frolic" is #25 (2,952 likes, six days in). A cable-knit vest layered over a shirt with big balloon sleeves.

Black shorts go below, and a mini bag with a bear clasp, a bear ring, a necklace, chunky sneakers and socks are all included. There are eight vest-and-shirt combinations, and the sneakers come in eight colors. Each sample shot notes which chest, body and leg shape keys that avatar supports; support covers 18 avatars including Shinano, Ramune, Milfy, Eku, Mizuki and Rurune, at 87,724 polygons. List price is ¥2,500 for the full set and ¥1,500 single, at half price in a release sale through the morning of October 7 on the measurement date.

Hairstyles

Five of the thirty are hairstyles; #1 and #3 are in the Top 10 and #28 carried over. Here are the other two.

Drug♡Angel's "Cherimell Hair" is #22 (1,707 likes, three days in). Long hair that waves down to the waist, with a bun on each side tied with a white ribbon.

Droopy ears and a braided strand come with it, and shape keys are split by part — ribbon, ears, bangs, side hair, buns and back hair. On top of twenty solid colors, four mask patterns are included for combining any two colors you pick. It's number 004 in the numbered "VRC H♥ir .exe" line, and support covers 13 avatars including Lumina, Manuka, Kumaly, Shinano, Milltina and Chocolat. The page opened on October 2 and announces a launch sale from October 5 taking it from ¥990 to ¥790; at the measurement date the purchase options still showed as outside the sales period. A ¥1,200 version with identical contents is listed too.

Kirihara Seisakusho's "H28 Goodnight Long" is #24 (1,410 likes, two days in). Super-long straight hair with no wave at all, falling well below the waist.

The bangs fall long across the face, and two ahoge parts are included. It totals 39,826 polygons, 19,886 of them in the back hair. Everything sits on one material, with a 4096px main texture. It's H28 from Kirihara Seisakusho, who keeps numbering hairstyles with an "H." Support covers 18 avatars including Kaguya, Misaki, Mayo, Kumaly, Plum and Ramune, with a PSD included. List price is ¥1,500, at ¥1,000 in a launch sale through November 4 on the measurement date.

Accessories

Two of the thirty are accessories, both new.

#OwnPath's "#OwnPath 2th" is #13 (2,882 likes, four days in). Long nails handed out free for one week to mark the shop's second anniversary.

Each finger gets a different motif — a fleur-de-lis cross, chains, piercing-style rings, studs, smoky marbling, a white French tip — and the whole set is held together in monotone. Color variants with red, green, purple, navy and more over black are included too. Support covers 35 avatars, from feminine models like Shinano, Manuka and Milltina to masculine ones like Minase, Komano, Kanata, Nakiya and Yuri, and this release adds Urara, Ramune, Miriam, Hanka, Suzuya and others. The sample shots are taken in pairs, including masculine-and-masculine ones. The giveaway runs until 17:59 on October 8, after which the page says it will switch to regular sales.

Banana-su's "Shark Cap" is #19 (3,843 likes, seven days in). A shark cap with Rurune as its motif.

A row of shark teeth lines the underside of the black cap's brim, and two ears with teal insides stand on top. A shark pin and an X-shaped ornament sit on the front, with metal rings and straps hanging from the side. It's made with Rurune in mind, and other avatars need adjusting on your own. It's ¥500, with a "snack money" version of identical contents at ¥700. It's the only item on Banana-su's shop page.

Gimmicks & Tools

Five of the thirty are gimmicks and tools. Mesh Mellow at #2 and Tocolo at #4 are in the Top 10, so here are two of the three from #11 down (Soroeru-kun at #20 comes up in the trends section).

Matsukawa Ikari ni Makasete Tsukutta Monotachi's "Planaria's Furious Hair Fitting Tool" is #14 (3,404 likes, five days in). A tool that fits a hairstyle your avatar isn't supported by onto your avatar's head. Following #14 in the September 7 issue, another tool from the same shop made the thirty.

Hairstyles are sized and positioned for each supported avatar, so putting one on an avatar that isn't on the list can leave it floating or sunk into the head. This tool sizes the hair from the ratio between heads if you own an avatar the hair supports, or from the inner shape of the hair if you don't, and shows the gap around the head in millimeters. Sliders refine size, depth and position, and shapes you pinch into place by hand can be saved as blend shapes. Parts of the head mesh that show through the new hair can be removed or pulled in on a duplicate.

It states its weak spots plainly: when size is estimated from the hair's inner shape, the error in the author's own tests was a median of 7.5% and 16.4% at worst. This is a free test version, with the finished version planned as a paid item on a separate page. The author notes it was made for a friend who was down about how few hairstyles supported their avatar.

coffin299's "VRCast" is #30 (1,260 likes, two days in). A Windows app that shows your VRChat avatar on its own and sends it to OBS, Discord or Zoom.

Export your avatar once from Unity to a ".vrcaster" file, and from then on you can display just the avatar without opening VRChat or Unity. It reproduces expressions, default toggles, PhysBones and constraints, matches mouth shapes to your microphone, and with a webcam follows your head, gaze, arms and fingers. It overlays on OBS with a transparent background and shows up in Discord or Zoom as a virtual camera. It's free, with supporter versions of identical function from ¥600, and it was updated three times in the three days after its October 3 release. The page asks users to follow each avatar's and outfit's terms on whether they can be used for streaming or in outside apps.

Textures

One of the thirty is a texture.

Meta Space's "Animated Prism Material" is #15 (4,549 likes, seven days in). A prism material that shimmers in rainbow colors as the viewing angle changes.

It's set up as lilToon materials you drag and drop onto hair, outfits or accessories. There's a transparent type and an opaque type, so places that shouldn't see through — like hair — can use the opaque one. A normal map and a matcap are included, with rim light and gloss already configured. The sample shots show Rurune coated entirely in it, from her hair and outfit to her shark tail. It's ¥600.

Worlds

One of the thirty is a world, the first since the September 7 issue.

first3d Shop's "Yonagi Villa" is #27 (2,894 likes, six days in). A home world: a two-story villa on a clifftop overlooking the night sea.

The first floor holds the living room and a terrace, with a pool that runs out toward the sea. Upstairs are a bedroom, a bathroom and a rooftop terrace, and you can walk through all of it. One button switches between dusk and night, changing the sky, the sea and even the reflections on the water. Mirrors in three places — the living room's glass wall, the bedroom and the bathroom — each offer high-quality and lightweight modes, the lighting has three brightness levels, and the shower and bathtub toggle with water sounds and steam. There are 32 places to sit. Lighting is baked, it uploads to both PC and Quest, and switching to Android swaps in lighter Quest materials automatically. It's ¥500, with a sample world published in VRChat.

Twenty-one of the thirty are new this issue, and twenty-one were published within the past week. All nine carry-overs were in last issue's Top 10, and the only item from that Top 10 to drop out of the thirty was Mirage Wolf Hair at #10. Outfits slipped from seventeen to fifteen, while hairstyles and gimmicks & tools each rose to five.

Keywords: four editor extensions, all built to line things up

Top 20 Keywords

Frequency of VRCFinder's own keyword tags — useful for spotting trending tastes and features.

In the keyword tally across the thirty, free leads with five, followed by avatar customization, editor extension and slit at four each, and off-shoulder and many color variations at three.

The four editor extensions are Mesh Mellow at #2, Tocolo at #4, the hair fitting tool at #14 and Soroeru-kun at #20 — every one of them a tool for making things match inside Unity. Mesh Mellow evens out mesh seams, Tocolo matches an outfit's colors to the hair and accessories, and the hair fitting tool fits unsupported hair to your own head. Soroeru-kun takes one reference lilToon material and copies settings like shadows, rim light and outlines onto the materials of an avatar or outfit in one go; a ¥500 version bundling four shadow presets sits beside the free one.

The four slit items are Luminous China at #12, elegant motion at #16, NEO Panda at #21 and KAIHUA at #23. The two cheongsams carried over from last issue's Top 10 were joined by NEO Panda at #21, which mixes panda, cheongsam and cyberpunk.

Avatar support: Shinano at 20, Milfy right behind at 19

Top 10 Supported Models

Distribution of supported avatar models.

Shinano draws the most support declarations at 20. From 23 in the September 14 issue to 21, 20 and now 20, that's four issues running alone at the top. Milfy is second at 19, followed by Mayo, Milltina and Rurune at 18, and Sio, Chocolat, Manuka, Lumina, Airi and Kaguya at 17. Lumina has climbed to 17 since entering the top ten at 14 in the September 21 issue.

Items aimed at masculine avatars stood out too. De Route N7 at #11, from the Outfits section, centers on masculine models like Minase, Komano, Yuri, Nakiya, Kanata and Kuuta, and #OwnPath 2th at #13 includes plenty of masculine models among its 35. CANDY POP DINER at #10, carried over from last issue, also has a separate men's design. At the other end, Shark Cap at #19 is made for Rurune alone.

Prices: twelve in the ¥1,000s, sales running into late October

Price Distribution

Price bucket distribution for products in this theme during the period.

Twelve items sit in the ¥1,000–1,999 band, eight in ¥500–999, five are free, three fall in ¥2,000–2,999, and one each in ¥1–499 and ¥3,000–4,999. The median is ¥1,100.

The five free items are Yumeka at #6, #OwnPath 2th at #13, the hair fitting tool at #14, Soroeru-kun at #20 and VRCast at #30. On top of those, Simple Bob Hair at #3 was being given away free for the measurement day only; the single item in ¥1–499 is that hairstyle's ¥100 version.

Looking at what was actually charged at the measurement date, this issue stands out for launch sales scheduled into late October. MY Half Twin at #1 runs through October 18, Dragon Enchant at #8 through October 17, PUNKY YANKEE at #18 through October 10, NEO Panda at #21 through October 20, Vespertine at #26 through October 23, and H28 Goodnight Long at #24 through November 4. Shuwa_Fuwa at #9 has posted that its release-period price through October 31 returns to list price on November 1. Prices and sales here are all from the measurement date, and most are time-limited.

A creator's view of how things were released

A trending ranking reflects how something was brought to market as much as the work itself. Here are four repeatable patterns from this week's thirty.

Notes for creators:

  1. Plan the release from a shop's very first item — Simple Bob Hair at #3 is the first item on Melt Room's shop page. The page opened the evening before, the hair went free for the next day only, and it gathered 2,787 likes within about a day of the page going up. Kindan Ryouiki, behind Ace Bunny at #7, first put out a free pair of earrings, "AREA KEY," on September 30, then opened the page for an outfit named "Area 01" on October 3, announcing in advance that sales would start at 17:00 on October 5. Shark Cap at #19 and VRCast at #30 are likewise the first items on their shops' pages. Four items in the same week showed that a shop's very first item, released the right way, can reach the thirty.
  2. Keep fixing a tool almost daily after release — Tocolo at #4 went through twelve versions in the nine days from its September 27 release to the measurement date, adding an image-placement feature on October 4. Mesh Mellow at #2 was updated three times in two days, VRCast at #30 three times in three days, and the hair fitting tool at #14 stacked up three versions two days after release. Every one of these product pages keeps a dated update log, so the person picking it up can see at a glance that the author is still working on it. Some even set up a Discord for bug reports.
  3. Spell out where single items and sets overlap — De Route N7 at #11 sells one jacket for ¥1,500 while stating that it will be included in the upcoming "BLVK S9 Fullset," with a note not to buy it twice. Yonagi Villa at #27 also sells its bundled skybox as a standalone item, and draws a line: the bundled copy can only be used in this world. Cherimell Hair at #22 lists a ¥1,200 version with the note that "the contents are no different." When it's clear up front what you get for what, and where things overlap, people can choose without hesitating.
  4. Post the start time and the first-day price in advance — the Ace Bunny page at #7 set the start of sales at 17:00 on October 5 and stated that until 23:59 that day only, the full set would drop from ¥3,800 to ¥1,990. Cherimell Hair at #22 likewise opened its page on October 2 and announced a launch sale starting October 5. Both showed their purchase options as outside the sales period at the measurement date, and both still gathered enough likes to land in the thirty. It's the "open the page first" approach I've been seeing since the August 24 issue, now with the opening time and the first-day price attached.

Wrap-up

What stood out this issue is the cluster of tools for making things fit near the top of the ranking. Mesh Mellow at #2 evens out the seams between head and body or hair and animal ears, Tocolo at #4 matches an outfit's colors to the hair and accessories, the hair fitting tool at #14 fits unsupported hair to your own head, and Soroeru-kun at #20 lines up the look of your materials. If the fun of avatar editing is gathering things made by different creators onto one avatar, each of these tools works on the spaces in between.

The tool at #14 in particular was made for a friend who was down about how few hairstyles supported their avatar, and it even puts a number on how far off the fit can be. You have a hairstyle you want to wear, but your avatar isn't supported — this week's thirty made it clear that several creators are meeting that problem head-on, putting out new versions almost daily after release.

About the Data

  • Measurement date: 2026-10-05
  • Scope: items published on Booth between 2026-07-05 and 2026-10-05 (2,507 items)
  • Ranking basis: likes ÷ days since release (releases under three days old count as three), in descending order. This is momentum, not cumulative likes, and uses the same calculation as the site's trending page
  • What "N days" means: age is calculated from VRCFinder's data collection point (the measurement date), not from what the Booth page displays. For items whose page was taken down and republished, age counts from the republishing date (the like count is the page's running total)
  • Rankings are a rough guide: this tally moves a lot with collection timing. It isn't a contest — read it as a way to find the new releases people are watching
  • Listing condition: VRCFinder's database only collects items with 300 or more likes, so anything under that at the measurement date isn't in this tally
  • Prices in the text are the regular list prices confirmed in Booth's purchase options. Items on sale are noted as "on sale at the measurement date"
  • Note: the figures and rankings here are a snapshot from the measurement date and don't reflect later changes. "Released" refers to when the Booth product page went up
  • Giveaway terms, prices and sales are as of the measurement date. Time-limited giveaways and sales may have ended by the time you read this. Check the Booth product page for current information
