[September 21, 2026] VRChat Trending Snapshot — This Week's Fastest-Rising on Booth

Every week, this "Trending Snapshot" captures the newest Booth releases pulling in likes the fastest, ranked by how quickly those likes pile up. When something climbs this fast, there's always a reason behind it — and reading that reason from both the work itself and the way it was released is what this weekly report is for. It's written for creators, to send you home with a hint for your next project.

The September 21, 2026 issue (measured September 21) is led by a 22-avatar set that packs a sailor uniform and a cheongsam into the same box. Five days after release, it had 9,847 likes. Let's start there.

This Week's Top 10

This is a momentum ranking — likes at the measurement date divided by days since release. It isn't ordered by total likes, so something published only days ago can sit near the top.

#1: Kirameki / RINNETOKYO

9,847 likes five days in. Two unrelated silhouettes — a sailor uniform and a cheongsam — bound together by a single jacket, across 22 avatars. A new release from RINNETOKYO, the creator behind the popular outfit "Tsukigitsune no Me."

The split is clean: Style A is a sailor top with a pleated skirt, Style B a mandarin-collar inner with shorts. Both sit under the same outer layer — an oversized jacket with dragon embroidery running down the sleeves and back, a beret, and laced boots. Swap the pieces underneath and you move between a schoolyard look and something closer to a Hong Kong street.

The small parts are separated out too: an ID card on a neck strap, a leg garter, a Chinese knot cord hanging from the skirt. The embroidery on the sleeves and on the skirt can each be switched off on its own, so you can keep the pattern or drop to plain without changing the shape.

Total polygons come to 133,627, with the jacket alone at 49,420. Support covers Shinano, Milltina, Airi, Manuka, Kaguya, Misaki and 22 avatars in all, and an editing PSD is included. Rotation Constraints drive the arm movement, so Modular Avatar is required. List price is ¥2,000 single and ¥4,000 for the full pack; at the measurement date a sale was running through September 27.

#2: Yumeka / Arka_X

21,472 likes twelve days in. An original avatar released for free, and the most-liked item among this week's thirty risers. Published by Arka_X.

She wears a blazer-and-vest uniform with a checked miniskirt, blonde hair tied off with ribbons, small black wings at her back and a heart choker at her throat. Leg warmers and loafers finish it.

What's inside doesn't stop at what "free" usually implies. There are 388 facial shape keys, plus 50 on the body and 48 for MMD. The Expressions Menu ships configured with seven outfits, five hairstyles, seven expressions and four options, and chest size runs on a radial menu with no fixed steps. Twenty-four spare expressions come bundled with reference images for swapping them in.

Polygons run 84,263 across seven materials and twenty meshes. The body data, a PSD and the Blender source are all included, under a VN3 license. In the three days after the September 9 release it was updated four times, fixing expression behavior and a stray material reference.

#3: HYPERTECH EXO-FRAME / EXTENSION CLOTHING

3,661 likes three days in. An exoskeleton built as armor plates over a separate inner frame. A new release from EXTENSION CLOTHING, the creator behind the popular outfit "HYPER TECH EVO -IGNITE-."

Where the earlier entry in the line was heavy armor with a jetpack, this one is written as a lightweight close-combat model. Nine external armor panels cover the arms, hands, chest and legs, and fourteen inner frame pieces run from the shoulders to the hands and feet — pull the outside off and the skeleton underneath shows.

The weapon is a blue high-frequency blade, and it draws, sheathes, goes two-handed, reverse-grip, and swaps hands, trailing an afterimage particle when swung. A disc-shaped support drone floats beside the head with hover and signal animations.

The whole thing is 160,669 polygons across fifteen materials; the blade is 7,490 and the drone 8,000. Support covers Lumina, Shinano, Airi, Shinra, Manuka, Lapwing and fourteen avatars in all. List price is ¥2,200 single and ¥4,800 for the full pack, with a sale running through September 30 at the measurement date. During that sale window the separately sold bike, "REVENANT GT-X," comes with the full pack. The bike is 38,449 polygons, pins to world coordinates, fakes a riding pose, takes steering input in VR, and ships in twelve paint schemes.

#4: Dotabata Gimmick / VRSuya

2,894 likes three days in. Get bonked on the head and you fly, roll, and end up planted in the floor — a reaction pack written for the person on the receiving end. A new release from VRSuya, the creator behind the popular animation "Shukusei!! Loli-gami Requiem Motion."

Playing a comic knockdown in VR normally means actually throwing your own body at the floor. Even with full-body tracking, getting a clean tumble out of it is hard. This gimmick puts contact receivers on the head, hands and feet, and fires an animation only when something hits them above a set speed. That threshold is adjustable, so a light touch won't set it off.

The pack holds fourteen animations, two effects and six sounds — squashed flat, rolling sideways, launched upward, knocked backward — chosen from the menu. The receivers and their sensitivity are exposed in Unity, so you can size and place them to your own height.

It works on any Humanoid avatar and doesn't care what you're wearing. Parameter cost is nine bits. The limits are stated plainly too: playback direction follows the way your avatar moved in-world, so turning your headset won't turn the animation. ¥1,200, with a sale price listed at the measurement date.

#5: Poko Mesh Editor / Natsupoko Shop

3,932 likes five days in. An editor extension that lets you grab and reshape avatar and outfit meshes without leaving Unity. Released free by Natsupoko Shop.

Fixing clipping or nudging a silhouette has meant exporting to Blender, editing, and bringing it back. This tool has you click the spot in the Scene view and move the vertices inside a white circle with Unity's own move handle. The circle resizes on the scroll wheel.

The falloff is tunable in detail. How sharply influence drops from the center runs across four settings — uniform, weak, standard, strong — and how much each vertex will move shows on screen in red, yellow, green and blue. Influence can spread by straight-line distance or by surface distance, so a sleeve won't drag the arm underneath it along.

When there aren't enough vertices where you need them, you can subdivide just the selected area. Finished edits save as a new mesh, or write straight out as a blend shape. X-axis symmetry and undo/redo are both in, and it saw three updates in the three days after the September 18 release. A ¥300 support version sits alongside it with identical contents.

#6: Dynasty Halo / TATSUYA@VRChat Shop

1,917 likes three days in. A ring of spikes that floats overhead and sways as you move. TATSUYA@VRChat Shop is giving it away through September 27.

The shape reads almost like a crown, in silver-white. It isn't pinned, so it lags a beat behind when you walk or turn. Support covers seventeen avatars.

The placement has a clear intent behind it. This halo is part of "Dynasty," a new outfit the same shop published at the same time, and only the piece above the head has been cut out of it. The product page links straight to the outfit, which is listed on sale from September 20 through the 27th, from ¥1,400 single and ¥2,800 for the full pack. Anyone who picks up the free halo lands one click from the outfit page.

#7: RE.Lunafit / RE

1,908 likes one day in. A one-day giveaway of a cropped sweatshirt and shorts. Published by RE. It's the newest item in this week's thirty, arriving here the day after release.

The sweatshirt has long, dropped sleeves and a wide open collar, with the shop's "RE" logo on the back and sleeve. A belt wraps the shorts and a white line ties the two halves together — somewhere between loungewear and sportswear, cut close to the body.

Support covers Sio, Mao, Chocolat, Shinano, Milltina, Airi, Rurune, Mamefriends, Kaguya and Yumeka — ten avatars. Yumeka, sitting at #2 in this same issue, is on that list from day one. The fitting was run through Mochifitter and then refined in Blender. Modular Avatar is supported, and lilToon is required.

The free window was marked as closing at 18:30 on September 21, and the measurement was taken that same day.

#8: Scaled Maid / CYCR

5,847 likes ten days in. A maid outfit with dragon horns and a scaled tail, hairstyle included. I covered it in full as the leader of the September 14 issue; it had 4,372 likes three days in then, and is at 5,847 in its second week. At the measurement date the launch sale had ended and it was back to list — ¥1,600 single, ¥3,400 for the full set with hair.

#9: Asterielm / MELTY:Ri

6,822 likes twelve days in. A long jacket with a flared hem over a checked miniskirt and laced tights. This one also appeared in the September 14 issue, at #2 with 6,130 likes five days in, and it has held its place into a second week. The sale has ended, putting it back at ¥1,400 single and ¥2,500 for the full set.

#10: AirBorne Avatar UI / Kisaragi Umi

2,152 likes four days in. A menu panel carried on your avatar, paired with a companion app running on your PC. Published by Kisaragi Umi.

VRChat's built-in menu drifts off target when a controller stick is even slightly out of true. This UI opens as a panel attached to the avatar and responds both to a finger touch and to a laser pointer. Outfit switching, showing and hiding gimmicks, changing pen colors all sit on it — and so does quitting VRChat.

A separate HUD sits at the edge of your view. The clock, headset battery, left and right controller batteries and tracker batteries each toggle on their own, and opacity and position move on the spot so it can be pushed out of the way. Pairing it with the PC app adds screen streaming and speech recognition, and speech becomes text, gets translated, and goes out to the chat box on the same panel.

Parameter cost comes in three builds: 38 bits with the pen, 30 bits with a fixed-color pen, 18 bits without one. lilToon is required and VRCFury can't be used alongside it. List price is ¥2,000 for everything, or ¥1,200 each for the UI and the PC app separately, with a sale through September 26 at the measurement date.

Category Picks (#11–#30)

The Top 10 covered outfits, an avatar, an animation pack, tools and an accessory, and #11 through #30 hold more new arrivals. Long Cape Coat at #17, Wan-Nyan Hoodie at #22, Chill Room Wear at #24, Ignore Real Colliders on VR Headsets at #25, Yuri at #26, ZERO ACTIVE Sailor at #29 and Project Zero NO.20 at #30 all carried over from earlier issues, so they sit this one out. Avatars have no section this week — both of the two in the thirty fall into that group.

Outfits

Seventeen of the thirty are outfits, five of them already covered in the Top 10. From #11 down I'm taking two that sit at opposite ends on both scale and price.

First, the large one, with prefabs for thirty-five bodies.

BLVK's "Laurent Estate" is #14 (2,321 likes, four days in). An open-collar shirt over wide-leg trousers — an outfit for going out into the city.

There are 36 shirts, 8 trousers and 9 pairs of shoes, sorted onto sheets by family: ink-washed blacks, plain whites, geometric prints, blue-grey gradients. Glasses, a wristwatch, three rings and a lidded coffee tumbler with the brand printed on it come along with them. The shirt is 20,381 polygons, the trousers 7,697, the tumbler 1,888. Support runs to 35 avatars led by masculine bodies — Minase, Komano, Yuri, Nakiya, Kanata, Kuuta — with Shinra, Shinano and Milfy on the feminine side in the same package. The license is UV License, permitting personal and corporate commercial use and reuse of the data. List price is ¥2,500 for the men's set, ¥2,500 for the women's, ¥3,500 for both.

And now the small one, narrowed to three bodies and given away.

UTA SHOP's "Simple Dress -Scent of White Lilies-" is #20 (1,527 likes, three days in). A sleeveless long dress with a broad white collar and a red ribbon at the throat, released to mark 2,000 shop followers.

The motion is tuned deliberately in two directions: the skirt is weighted so it doesn't flip up, while the ribbon is left light enough to swing. Fine embroidery runs along the collar, and the shoes are included. The collar is 738 polygons, the ribbon 300 and the skirt 3,256, coming to 10,562 with the shoes. Support covers Manuka, Lapwing and MARUBODY; it was built on Manuka, then converted with Mochifitter and refined in Blender for the others. An editing PSD is included. Free, with a ¥100 tip version alongside.

Hairstyles

Two of the thirty are hairstyles, both new this week — and both of them come with wings.

Pirouette's "Haniel Long" is #11 (1,749 likes, three days in). Very long hair falling straight to the ends, with a blunt fringe.

Long hair's worst problem gets handled twice over. First, colliders placed around the chest to reduce clipping; second, shape keys named Breasts_Big1, Big2, Up, Front and UnderFront that move the hair itself out of the way. The fringe side is just as detailed — long, short, center-gathered, three degrees of side sweep, two asymmetric variants — for 32 shape keys in total. Feather ornaments pin at the side of the head in white and black families, in several shapes. Polygons come to 27,958 on two materials, with 158 PhysBone transforms. Thirty colors span three sheets, and a layered PSD made in Clip Studio is included. Support covers Shinano, Milltina, Manuka, Milfy, Kaguya, Misaki and eighteen avatars in all. List price is ¥1,000; a launch sale had it at ¥600 through September 22 at the measurement date.

muu's "Eye-Covering Fallen Angel Long Hair" is #13 (1,553 likes, two days in). A fringe long enough to hide the eyes, paired with black wings at the back.

Keeping an expression readable under a lowered fringe is a hard ask, and it works here because the strands are thin enough that the eyes show through the gaps. The hair is 51,936 polygons and the wings 7,756; the wings come off if you want the hair alone. Support covers Milltina, Manuka, Kumaly, Chocolat, Sio, Mayo, Shinano, Milfy, Ichigo and fourteen avatars in all. List price is ¥1,200, with a launch sale at ¥900 through September 27 at the measurement date (a support version with identical contents sits at ¥1,500).

Accessories

Two of the thirty are accessories. Dynasty Halo at #6 is covered in the Top 10, so here's the other.

Mworks' "Mochi Frame" is #12 (2,294 likes, four days in). Round-ish glasses you decorate yourself.

Frames come in six colors — black, white, light blue, lavender, pink and more — and six charms clip to the temple tips: a bone, a heart, a star, a tooth, a wing and a cloud. The page says to mix them however you like. To fit them to a face, eight shape keys adjust frame height and thickness, lens width, and the temples' spread, rise, fall and length. It uses Crystal Shader alongside lilToon, and a MatCap is included. ¥300.

Gimmicks & Tools

Five of the thirty are gimmicks and tools, up from two last issue. Poko Mesh Editor at #5 and AirBorne Avatar UI at #10 are in the Top 10, and #25 carried over, leaving two.

Chocolate rice's "To-go Fries" is #16 (1,502 likes, three days in). Hold a peace sign beside your cheek and fries pop out with a burst of particles.

The fries stretching between your fingers read as cat whiskers, which is the whole joke. The paper bag you wear on your head is shaped with cat ears, and touching it rustles; reach in and grab, and a burger, a straw or a "have a smile" card comes out at random. Five percent of the time you get steaming fresh-fried potatoes instead. Support covers Sio, Mayo, Shinano, Chocolat, Lumina, Milfy, Eku, NyaNyaMaru, Quokka, Mamehinata and Kipfel — eleven avatars — and an editing PSD is included. The price at the measurement date was ¥350.

Kinoko no Mure's "Late-Join System -Accompany-" is #27 (1,390 likes, three days in). A gimmick that plants a teleporter so people arriving later can come find you.

In a large world, meeting up means describing where you are out loud. This gimmick sets a signboard-shaped teleporter at your position, and anyone who steps on it is carried to whoever activated it. The placement method is the clever part: three numbers appear on your left wrist, and matching them in the menu fixes the sign at those coordinates. Because the position travels as avatar parameters, people who join the instance afterwards see it roughly where it was put.

The trade-offs are stated up front. You can't use your own teleporter. Placement is limited to 384m horizontally and 127m vertically from the world origin, and anyone who isn't loading the activating player can't see the sign either. It syncs on 25 bits. Prefabs come pre-positioned for Kipfel, Shinano, Plum, Milltina, Rurune, Airi and Sucre, and the page notes that bodies outside that list work once you align them by hand. At the measurement date it was free as a launch giveaway, with a full pack at ¥200.

Animations

Two of the thirty are animations. Dotabata Gimmick at #4 is in the Top 10, so here's the other.

-suku-'s "Pose Set" is #19 (1,418 likes, two days in). A 48-hour giveaway holding eight poses.

What defines this set is what got left out. All eight poses are for two people — arms over shoulders, leaning in from behind, sleeping against someone, hands held. Nothing here resolves with one avatar, and the anim files number nineteen once both sides are counted. The examples run through quiet everyday clothes — white knits, long black skirts, checked shirts — which tells you exactly what kind of photo it's for. The outfit in the thumbnail is listed as another release by the same creator. The free window ran to 19:00 on September 21, with a note that positions may need adjusting per avatar.

Reading the Thirty

The pool here is the Top 30 risers — items published within three months of the measurement date, ranked by momentum (the same thirty the site's trending page shows). Here's what that group looks like from the inside.

Twenty-one of the thirty are new this issue, and twenty were published within the past week. Eight of the Top 10 changed hands, with last issue's leader and runner-up settling into #8 and #9. Look at the category split and thirteen of the thirty aren't clothing at all.

Keywords: six free items, each for a different reason

In the keyword tally across the thirty, free leads with six. That follows last issue's seven, making two weeks running where free sits on top. Behind it are PSD included at five, midriff at three, and avatar gimmick, editor extension, effect, oversized, plaid, embroidery, for photography and see-through at two each.

None of the six free items are free for the same reason. Yumeka at #2 is an entire original avatar, Poko Mesh Editor at #5 is identical to its paid support version, Dynasty Halo at #6 is one piece cut from an outfit released the same day, and the white lily dress at #20 marks 2,000 shop followers. The last two mark out a window in time: RE.Lunafit at #7 ran one day, and the pose set at #19 ran 48 hours.

The other figure worth noting is PSD included at five. Kirameki at #1, Haniel Long at #11, To-go Fries at #16 and the white lily dress at #20 all ship their texture sources, across wildly different price points and scales.

Avatar support: Shinano at 21, Lumina joins the top tier

Shinano draws the most support declarations at 21. That follows 23 in the September 14 issue, holding the top spot alone for a second week. Behind it, Milltina and Milfy sit at 16, Manuka, Chocolat and Rurune at 15, and Airi, Mayo and Lumina at 14.

What's new in that lineup is Lumina arriving in the top ten at 14. It's the avatar EXTENSION CLOTHING publishes, and this week it picks up support across categories — their own #3, plus Kirameki at #1, Haniel Long at #11 and To-go Fries at #16.

Meanwhile, plenty in the same thirty point away from that group. Laurent Estate from the outfit section supports 35 avatars, most of them masculine bodies like Minase, Komano, Yuri, Nakiya, Kanata and Kuuta, and Accompany at #27 narrows to seven prefabs while noting that anything outside the list works once aligned by hand. Dotabata Gimmick at #4 doesn't carry a support list at all — any Humanoid avatar will do.

Prices: twelve in the ¥1,000s, six free

Twelve items sit in the ¥1,000–1,999 band, six are free, five fall in ¥1–499, three in ¥2,000–2,999, two in ¥500–999 and two above ¥5,000. The median is ¥1,200.

The ¥1–499 band is unusually full at five. Mochi Frame at #12 is ¥300, To-go Fries at #16 is ¥350, and Accompany's full pack at #27 is ¥200 — small builds priced small.

Looking at what was actually charged at the measurement date, this was another week thick with launch sales: Kirameki at #1 through September 27, EXO-FRAME at #3 through the 30th, AirBorne Avatar UI at #10 through the 26th, Haniel Long at #11 through the 22nd, and the fallen angel hair at #13 through the 27th. On the other side, Scaled Maid at #8 and Asterielm at #9 closed the windows announced last issue and returned to list price. Prices and sales here are all from the measurement date, and most are time-limited.

A creator's view of how things were released

A trending ranking reflects how something was brought to market as much as the work itself. Here are four repeatable patterns from this week's thirty.

Wrap-up

What stood out this issue is how many items near the top don't resolve on their own. Dotabata Gimmick at #4 isn't selling your movement; it's selling what happens to the person who got hit. All eight poses in the set at #19 are for two people, and playing one alone leaves you holding half a picture. Accompany at #27 states from the outset that you can't use the teleporter you planted. Alongside the ongoing work of dressing an avatar, a set of releases showed up in the same week aiming at the time you spend with someone else.

The commitment at #27 is the sharpest of them as a piece of tool design. A sign that stands not for you, but only for whoever arrives after you — even the trick of carrying coordinates through avatar parameters exists for that single purpose. When you're building for VRChat, there's an answer available beyond adding features: narrowing down who it works for. This week's thirty showed that in several different shapes.
