#1: BloomPhone 3 / SouWorks

Pick it up and the screen lights; press the shutter and the photo you just took appears on it; glance down and the time matches the clock on your desk. BloomPhone 3 is built as a phone that actually runs, not one that only looks the part. It gathered 9,352 likes — more than three times second place — for a clear solo lead.

The camera app is the centerpiece. You shoot with a hand sign, then edit the photo right there on the screen: exposure, contrast, saturation, color temperature, vignette, lens distortion and more, ten adjustments in all, enough to produce film-style grain or a light-leak glow. Finished shots are saved by bringing the VRChat camera up to the screen, and can be shared with friends. Beyond that there is a clock synced to real-world time with no external tools required, a timer with 1-, 3-, 5- and 10-minute settings, and a flashlight with three brightness levels. Swiping up from the bottom of the display cycles through the lock screen, home screen and two custom screens.

When you are not using it, the phone hangs from a neck strap; close your hand at its position and it moves into your grip. Grab the top edge and pull to change the angle and size, or close both hands to pin it in place where you stand. The body comes in eight colors from blue through clear, with eight strap colors to match. A lite prefab that drops the camera, timer and flashlight is included, and the menus and on-screen text can be swapped to Japanese, English, Korean, or Traditional or Simplified Chinese.

#2: Umbral Barrier / CYCR (Cyber Critter)

A translucent yellow canopy on a mechanical grip that looks lifted off a power tool. Open, it is an umbrella; closed, its silhouette reads as a rifle you can shoulder. This umbrella-and-gun hybrid took second place (2,906 likes).

CYCR has settled into a distinctive release pattern: carve one prop out of an outfit bundle, publish it the same day as a three-day free download, and route buyers to the outfit once the window closes. This umbrella is part of "Venom Umbra," the hair-and-outfit set that went up alongside it.

April followed the same shape, with a Japanese-horror doll called Crimmy handed out ahead of the outfit released that day. Get discovered through the small item, grow the shop's follower count, and collect the revenue on the outfit side — repeating that loop with each outfit release is what makes this shop's cadence work.

#3: R.A.I.S.E. / サイチの物置小屋

Open your hand and a ring-shaped interface rises above the palm. R.A.I.S.E. has no barrel. Instead of chasing the aiming, firing and reloading motions of a real firearm, it shapes "barrier rounds" out of the wearer's own aether and throws them from that ring. Third place (2,045 likes), ¥1,500.

It fires in three modes. HEXA is the standard single blue bolt; BLITZ dumps a burst of red beams at close range; LANCE is the long-range maximum-output shot, throwing a single straight beam. Hand signs switch between them, and the interface in your palm changes color and readout to match.

The particles carry hit detection, so in game worlds that support it you can actually shoot at each other — which makes this more than a photo prop. The product page also carries a setting document describing it as a standard-issue ranged weapon developed by an exorcism bureau's armament division, tracing the development history and the barrel-less mechanism as one carefully built piece of worldbuilding. Setup requires Poiyomi Toon Shader in addition to lilToon.

#4: RagingNocturne / TRISTA

A heart-shaped gem framed by bat wings and a black rose, on a thorn-wrapped shaft ending in an axe-like head. A new release from TRISTA — the creator behind the popular Seeker magic revolver. Fourth place (1,884 likes).

This one starts as a ring. A small band on your finger unfolds at a gesture and extends into the full staff. Leaving a staff out permanently occupies a hand, but here you summon it for the moment you need and fold it back down afterwards — which suits bringing the weapon out only between shots. There is also a prefab that starts with the weapon already slung on your back.

The magic switches between crystal and explosion elements, and both the ranged attack and the finisher change appearance with the element. Add clockwise, counter-clockwise and continuous spins, a dress-up toggle for arbitrary accessories, and world pinning, and there is enough here to stage a full transformation sequence in one take. Four color materials — black, standard, pink and white — with the weapon at 9,788 triangles and the ring at 1,730. The standard edition is ¥2,100, with an identical support edition at ¥2,300.

#5: Ouka / おぎにり

The best of Ouka happens before the blade ever swings. Point with your right hand near the grip and pull, and you draw; open the hand and you sheathe. Make a fist with your left and you take hold of the scabbard, then a thumbs-up pops the blade loose at the collar. The whole sequence leading up to a cut is reproduced through hand shapes alone. Fifth place (1,833 likes), ¥1,000.

There are four techniques. From a sheathed stance, pop the collar, take the grip, then draw the blade slightly and let it fall back, and "Setsuna Senko" bursts outward in a starburst of cherry-blossom light. "Shoka" draws from a gun hand sign, "Saidan" cuts straight forward, and "Kogetsu" sweeps from a two-handed grip — each one trailing scattered petals in its afterglow.

おぎにり releases a new weapon gimmick nearly every month, and put out a greatsword called Rastafel in April. The shop's signature — designing the handling of a weapon rather than the weapon itself — lands squarely on the draw and the scabbard here.

#6: CYBER OGRE BLADE / omise3d

A disc-shaped scabbard unit floating behind your back, and a broad double-edged sword drawn out of it — two of each, left and right, so they can be wielded as a pair. The blunt, salvaged-machinery look means the set reads as cyberpunk styling even with the blades still stowed. Sixth place (1,642 likes).

The scabbard unit moves between back, side and front positions, so you can park it wherever it clears your outfit and build. Once drawn, the sword switches between forward and reverse grip, swings trail an afterglow with matching sound, and the blade alone can be pinned in place. All of it runs through contacts plus gestures, with a radial menu as a second route. Twelve color materials ship alongside S, M and XL prefabs covering avatars from roughly 70cm to 160cm tall, and the scabbard and swords together come to 43,180 triangles.

Sales are split three ways: ¥1,500 for the set including the visor, ¥1,200 for just the swords and scabbards, and ¥300 for the visor on its own. If your avatar's head is already occupied you can take only the blades; if you want the whole look, the set is there.

#7: Hamu Walker / meron-farm

A baby walker fitted to "Hamu," the perfectly round hamster avatar. Seventh place (1,330 likes).

Round-bodied avatars are hard to seat: try to put one in a chair or a cart and the legs never line up, so it ends up floating or sinking through. This walker has already been scaled to Hamu's proportions, and playing the matching AvatarPoseLibrary animation drops it into exactly the right height. From there you just toddle around, and the picture of a round body wedged into a frame does the rest.

The cream-and-muted-green palette matches real baby gear rather than toy plastic. At 1,488 triangles it is very light, and the walker itself is free — with a separate ¥100 "snack" listing for anyone who wants to send something back afterwards.

#8: Cute Ice ♡ / L’Atelier404

A pale-blue ice pop shaped like a baby bottle, with a crescent moon, two stars and a melting cat face pressed into it, and a tiny wing charm swinging from the stick. Eighth place (1,312 likes), released as a free asset to mark the shop passing 1,300 followers.

Three colorways are included — blue, monochrome and pink — with separate prefabs for holding it in your hand and for resting it at your mouth. The mouth version carries a pull gimmick, so you can catch the pop between your fingers and tug it around while it is held. Modular Avatar support means it drops onto any avatar once you line up the position.

The translucent finish and soft blue sit naturally in a hand heading into summer. For a free release, the modelling here is unusually well finished — enough to land in the back half of the Top 10.

#9: IGNI-ASCIA / サイチの物置小屋

From the same shop as third-placed R.A.I.S.E., this time a tactical axe finished in flat black. Ninth place (1,303 likes).

The controls stay deliberately small: close your hand near the grip to draw, open it to sheathe. On top of that, the plus version heats the blade red when you open your left hand mid-draw, giving it a dull, smouldering glow. Change the hand sign again and it returns to black, so you can bring the fire in only for the shot that needs it.

The product page frames it as a secondary armament of the same exorcism bureau, a revised Type III suited to parrying, deflecting and binding. R.A.I.S.E. was catalogued as standard-issue ranged weapon No.006 in that same fiction, and tying separate products together through one setting is how this shop builds. The base version is free, with the red-hot gimmick arriving in the ¥200 plus version.

#10: Grappling Hook Gimmick / RIOKUN

Raise the crossbow, fire the hook at where you want to be, and the wire hauls you bodily across to it. Walking, running, or riding whatever vehicles and teleporters a world happens to provide is the usual extent of movement in VRChat, so carrying your own means of travel on your avatar is a real shift on its own. Tenth place (1,241 likes), ¥800.

The reach is generous too: it works on Raycast, so anywhere with a collider is a valid target. No per-world setup is needed, which puts rooftops and far banks within one shot on any map you visit. Firing is a closed fist plus trigger on Index controllers, or a rock-'n'-roll hand sign on Quest.

Where it really comes into its own is the Sit detection. A friend can ride the wire you fired and be launched across the gap. You cannot ride it yourself, so the natural game is to become the operator and send everyone else flying, one after another. It puts zipline staging in your own hands regardless of which world you are in.

Median likes came in at 484 against an average of 865 — a wide gap, driven by first place landing at 9,352 and pulling the average up. The numbers say plainly that this was a month where one item broke away from the field. On price, the median of ¥700 continues a climb that ran ¥500 in March and ¥650 in April.

Features: MA and lilToon as the baseline, particles at 30%

The feature tally reads lilToon 40 / Modular Avatar 38 / particles 18 / world-pinning 11 / PhysBone 9 / synced 5 / Poiyomi 4 / pickupable 4 / shader 3 / hand-sign linked 3. lilToon and Modular Avatar support are now assumed across effectively the whole field. On top of that, particles appear on 18 items — around 30% — so props that glow, burst or scatter carry a lot of the volume.

One item built its effect in the shader itself, aimed squarely at the rainy season.

"Raindrops Umbrella" by AKATSUKIYA is an avatar umbrella whose surface has raindrops running down it in real time, drawn by a custom lilToon shader. It opens the way a real umbrella does — release the strap, then push the runner up — rain sound kicks in once it is about 80% open, and you can switch between rain and parasol modes. Three shapes (frilled, unfrilled and a gentlemen's version) come in 92 colorways in total, including animated materials such as a swimming-goldfish pattern. The shader can be applied to other materials too, so you can give items you already own a wet finish. ¥1,300.

Together with second-placed Umbral Barrier, May put two umbrella props on the board — the run-up to the rainy season showing in both the ranking and the wider field.

Taste: cool leads, with sci-fi, tactical and military packed behind it

The taste tally reads cool 10 / sci-fi 9 / tactical 9 / military 8 / funny 7 / Japanese style 7 / joke 6 / mecha 6 / near-future 6 / cute 5. April was led by fantasy at 9, but May put cool at the front with sci-fi, tactical, military, mecha and near-future bunched right behind it. Near-future combat gear effectively occupies the top half of the field, and the Top 10 reflects it in the ranged weapon at #3, the cyber blades at #6 and the tactical axe at #9.

The comedic side has not gone anywhere either, and this was its clearest representative.

"Hammer" by はいぱーつよつよ starts as a squeaky toy mallet and grows through 1t, 10t and 100t stages each time you touch the shaft with both hands closed, with the sound effects and particles gaining weight as it scales. Make a gun sign with your free hand and a target circle appears on the floor or wall; strike it and a hole bursts open, and because the gimmick photographs the surface you selected and feeds it into the texture, the debris matches whatever world you are standing in. Three desktop-friendly swing emotes are included, with prefabs split across 26-plus avatars. ¥780.

Item type: weapons carry the volume, guns overtake katana

The item-type tally reads weapon 16 / gun 7 / katana 5 / heart motif 3 / staff 3 / plushie 2 / star 2 / crystal 1 / bag 1 / frill 1. Among items carrying a type tag, weapons at 16 are the backbone, recovering from April's 14 though still short of March's 25. Within that, guns at 7 now edge out katana at 5, shifting the center of gravity away from the blade-heavy April.

On the blade side, the sharpest work went into how the techniques read.

"Cursed Sword Shiden" by CooGee (こーじぃ) is a lightning-wreathed katana. A hard swing releases "Raiissen," a closed fist swung hard triggers the multi-hit "Rairangeki," and holding a closed fist out in front opens an eye in mid-air that fires a slash of its own in "Yamiyo Kaigan." Each technique has its own sound effect, so a whole duel sequence can be staged out of the box. Modular Avatar support means it drops straight under the avatar. ¥700.

Price: median up to ¥700, eight items above ¥2,000

The price distribution runs free 17 / ¥1–499 6 / ¥500–999 16 / ¥1,000–1,999 12 / ¥2,000–2,999 6 / ¥3,000–4,999 2 / ¥5,000+ 0. Items under ¥1,000 account for 39 of 59, or 66% — back up from April's 59% but short of March's 74%. The eye-catching movement is at the top: eight items sit above ¥2,000, more than double the three seen in each of March and April. Gimmick-heavy weapons and staves filling the ¥2,000 band is what has pushed the median to ¥700 for a third straight climb.

Seventeen items, 29% of the field, were free. One of them was a large prop you can set down and open.

"Trunk" by ロコ組総本部 is an antique-style travel case whose lid opens by grabbing a PhysBone. It can be pinned in place, so you can set it at your feet for a shot or leave the lid open to show the lining. Six colorways — navy, white, black, pink, green and red — ship with the texture PSD and the blend file, all for free. It comes to 12,506 triangles.

From the thickening ¥1,000–1,999 band, one more.

"CoffeeCube" by ちぇちぇ村 keeps a small cube parked on your shoulder; grab and pull, and a coffee appears. Dragging the saucer to the surrounding menu switches between hot and iced, or builds one of eight latte designs. You can duplicate the cup and hand one to someone nearby, which is what makes it sit so naturally in a chat or a work session. Everything is operable from desktop as well. ¥1,500.
