This is a one-article archive of the VRChat "Halloween" items published on Booth over the course of 2024. The scope is the 262 items tagged "Halloween" in VRCFinder's own aggregation, and from those I picked 49 and sorted them into nine subjects: witches, little devils, vampires, ghosts and horror, jiangshi, small avatars, accessories, party props, and avatars and hairstyles. It isn't a like-count ranking: the proven staples sit on the same shelf as pieces built around one sharp idea, so you can browse it for what to make, or wear, next Halloween.
At the top of all 262, with 20,805 likes, is an oversized zip hoodie with long sleeves and devil horns standing up from the hood. Let's start with the shape of Halloween 2024 as a whole.

Halloween 2024, the Big Picture
First, a look in numbers at what those 262 Halloween items of 2024 were. For comparison, I also re-counted the items published in 2023 under the same conditions.

Top 20 Keywords
Frequency of VRCFinder's own keyword tags — useful for spotting trending tastes and features.
The keyword aggregation is led by ghost at 44, followed by free at 36, PSD included at 34, gimmick at 23, pumpkin at 21 and devil at 20. What catches the eye comes right after: succubus at 19. Counting the 2023 items under the same conditions gives just 2, so within a single year it became a firmly established costume subject. Witch at 16, vampire at 13 and jiangshi at 10 follow, the familiar Halloween cast.
Top 10 Taste Tags
Which taste/aesthetic tags appeared most in this theme.
By taste, dark at 135 and gothic at 112 stand clear, with horror at 81 below them. That's nearly double the 46 of 2023, enough to move above cute and fantasy. At the same time, the sweet side keeps its own block — cute at 50, yuru-kawa (laid-back cute) at 21 and yume-kawaii (dreamy pastel cute) at 18 — so in Halloween 2024, scary costumes and cute ghosts share the same shelf. From here, subject by subject.
Witches — a Night of Brooms and Hats
The "witch" keyword counts 16, but the year's #2 and #3 were both witch outfits. In the accessory aggregation, hats count 40 and witch hats 16, so Halloween's signs gather first on top of the head. The top witches of 2024 didn't stop at the hat, though. They built witchlike actions into the outfit itself: riding a broom, conjuring a magic circle, making a wand glow.
Riding the broom
The year's #2 witch doesn't hand you the broom as a prop to hold. It hands it to you as a vehicle.
グリモワール / C.C.MATILDA
A gothic witch outfit layering long sleeves and a corset, with a lantern-hung broom and a motion for riding that broom to get around. It's by C.C.MATILDA, the creator behind the popular outfit "ピンキーナース", and it collected the second-most likes of all 262 Halloween items of 2024.
The black witch hat is decorated with blue roses and chains, and a big white collar leads down to long sleeves with frilled cuffs and a skirt embroidered with crosses. A lantern hangs from the broom's bristles, lighting the area with a soft glow, and you can move through the world while seated on the broom. The moment you change into it, you can play as a witch flying across the night sky.
The palette has three dark colors — navy, black and bordeaux — and three pale ones — white, lavender and pink. The broom comes in two versions as well: brown bristles with a black ribbon, or a white handle with a pink ribbon. Dark colors make a night witch and pale ones a sweet witch, so the same broom-riding witch can swing a long way in impression. Support covers 15 avatars including Milltina, Lumina, Shinano, Manuka and Rurune, with Lumina joining in October 2025. ¥2,000 single, ¥4,700 full pack.
Leviosa Minerva / EDEN Oasis
A witch outfit like a magic-school student's: a checked sailor collar and a black jacket, with black-and-white striped over-the-knee socks. EDEN Oasis put it out as a Halloween edition of its outfit "Leviosa", with a broom gimmick added.
Press "Toggle Broom" in the Expressions menu and the broom appears, with you sitting sideways on it. A white, fluffy creature rides at the front by the bristles, and the end of the handle curls around. Just sitting on the broom sets up the composition of a photo.
Halloween is scattered through the accessories too: a coffin-shaped bag with bat wings hangs from the shoulder, and a white rabbit mascot holding a pumpkin peeks out of the jacket pocket. The hat's lining uses the same check as the sailor collar, making this an approachable witch that grows out of a school uniform. Support covers three avatars — Shinano, Manuka and Kipfel — and even the small Kipfel can sit on the same broom. ¥1,200 single, ¥2,400 full set.
Between witch and maid
Two outfits that move between witch and maid within a single garment made the upper ranks.
WiccaMaid / NookNook〈ヌークヌック〉
A "witch-girl maid" outfit pairing a wide-brimmed witch hat with an apron skirt and a puff-sleeved blouse. Published on October 3, 2024, it collected the third-most likes of all 262.
This outfit's broom comes and goes with hand signs alone, no menu needed. Stretch your left arm straight out to the side and make a fist, and the broom appears; make a peace sign in the same spot, and it disappears. Then touch the tip of the broom to the floor and point with your left hand, and a glowing magic circle spreads at your feet. Even mid-conversation, one movement of the hand creates a moment that looks like casting a spell. The belt pouch holds potion bottles and the bag holds mushrooms and crystals, which you can pick up and set down wherever you like.
There are six colorways, including black × white, orange × black × purple, red × white and blue × white, plus ways to wear it with the apron skirt or vest taken off. Depending on how you recombine the parts, it can go from a classic witch to an Alice-style or Red Riding Hood-style edit. There are 15 purchase options, from small bodies like Kipfel, Mamehinata and Mitsumame up to Shinano, Manuka and Lapwing. Total polygons come to about 46,540. ¥1,800 single, ¥3,500 full set.
Trick or Treat? / Through the Looking-Glass
An outfit where you choose what to layer over the same dress: a witch's coat and hat, or a maid's apron and headband. The name "Trick or Treat?" doubles as the question of which to be — witch (Trick) or maid (Treat).
The witch look is a long coat lined with a constellation pattern and a wide-brimmed hat with rose and star ornaments. The maid look is an apron that crosses at the back and a rose headband, with rose arabesques embroidered on the dress hem and the apron. Take off the coat or the apron and it's a single dress, so one outfit lets you shoot three looks: witch, maid and dress.
Colorways come to seven with the black coat and six with the white coat, with the hat and headband also in matching rose colors. Support kept being added after it was published: 11 avatars joined within October 2024, and then, exactly one year later on October 31, 2025, Milfy and Eku were added, bringing the total to 22. It's an outfit kept up so that a Halloween costume can be worn again the next Halloween. ¥1,500 single, ¥3,500 full pack.
Eastern and gothic witches
A pointed hat and a black robe aren't the only way to be a witch. Two pieces that rebuild the witch's shape from a China dress and a gothic dress.
OrientalWitch / POTATO CLOSET
An "Eastern witch" outfit: a long dress with a Chinese-style stand collar and a deep slit, paired with wide sleeves that hang to the floor and a wide-brimmed hat with butterfly ornaments. POTATO CLOSET put it out as a witch for the Halloween season.
The sleeves and skirt carry arabesque-like embroidery, and the hat holds butterfly ornaments with dangling star and crystal charms. Press "Cane" in the radial menu and pink particles of light spill from the tip of the included wand. The light's color can be changed in the particle settings.
There are eight colors — purple, red, navy, green, white, pink, light blue and black — plus a recolor material that lets you set the fabric color freely. PNG and PSD files for editing are included. Support covers nine avatars including Moe, Airi, Shinano, Manuka, Lasyusha and Sio, with the outfit at △168,028. ¥1,800 single, ¥3,500 full set.
Arcane_Veil / cherry neru
A gothic witch dress with layered damask skirts and a big bow at the waist, topped by a pointed hat with a petal-shaped brim. It's by cherry neru, the creator behind the popular outfit "Lottie".
The hat brim ripples like petals, hung with stars and crescent moons, chains and diamond-shaped ornaments. A star-and-crescent buckle sits at the waist and a big bow at the back, so the silhouette reads as a witch even from a distance. A mask texture that hides elbows and hands poking through is included too.
Colors come in nine light shades such as white, mint and lavender, and eight dark ones such as black, navy and teal, and the skirt can be plain or one of two patterns. From a white witch to a black-and-gold evening look, one outfit covers a wide range. Support covers eight avatars including Shinano, Airi, Manuka, Moe, Selestia, Kikyo and Sio. ¥1,050 single, ¥2,000 full set.
cherry neru's hairstyle "Arcane_Veil_Hair" has twin tails tied high on the head that flow in waves down to near the ankles, in 25 colors for ¥500. Paired with the dress, the hair flows all the way down to the hem.
A witch with just a hat
You don't have to buy a new outfit: one hat is enough to become a witch.
魔女の帽子 witch hat / murasaki-ya
A witch hat with a frilled-lace brim, white wings and a chain of cross and bead ornaments, given away for free. murasaki-ya, the creator behind the free veil "Maria Lace Veil", put it out for Halloween.
A white damask band wraps the black hat, with white wings, pom-poms and ribbons trailing down the back. The hat, the frills and the ornaments can each take their own color through lilToon's main, 2nd and 3rd colors, so you can match it to the lolita clothes or dress you already own, and simply putting it on turns the look into a witch. It installs with Modular Avatar.

Little Devils — Adding Horns and Wings
By keyword, devil counted 20 and succubus 19. Counting the 2023 items under the same conditions gives only 2 for succubus, so it's a subject that grew suddenly in 2024. Yet the devil that took the top of all 262 wasn't a revealing outfit, but a single hoodie with a horned hood that you throw on.
Just throw it on, just attach it
Two pieces that turn you into a devil just by layering on top, without taking off what you're already wearing.
でびでびぱーかー / AQUA LAILA
The hoodie that collected more likes than anything else among the 262 "Halloween" items of 2024. It's an oversized zip hoodie with long sleeves and devil horns standing up from the hood, and the product is the hoodie alone, with no inner or bottoms.
The hood comes two ways, devil horns or cat ears, and the description says it was "made for succubi and devils, but since you can be a cat too, cats are welcome to use it as well." The fabric comes in black or white, each in four textures — plain cloth, a metallic with an aurora-like sheen, a fur with pile, and a translucent skeleton — so the same hoodie can be chosen in eight looks.
Thrown on over whatever you're wearing, it completes a devil costume in one piece, and that ease is this hoodie's strength. Support covers 15 avatars: female avatars such as Lime, Moe, Manuka, Shinano, Rurune and Kikyo, plus two male avatars, Minase and Kanata. ¥750 single, ¥2,250 full set, the lowest price among the ten most-liked outfits.
即席サキュバスセット / favotime
An accessory set of five pieces: large and small horns, back wings, head wings and a heart-tipped tail. The first line of the description reads "Halloween edit accessories for busy people," and true to that, it's made to bring you toward a succubus look in the outfit you already have on.
The wings and tail come with PhysBones already set up, so they sway softly as soon as you attach them. Two colors: black and white. The default placement is fitted to Selestia, and for other avatars you move the bone positions to fit. At ¥200, it's still in time even if the idea strikes on Halloween night itself.
Gothic lolita and sailor devils
Two outfits that work devil horns into everyday styles of clothing.
Devil Lolita / SHOP HEILON
A gothic lolita devil: horns trimmed with roses and ribbons, a bell-sleeved jacket, and a velour skirt hung with cross chains. SHOP HEILON, the creator behind the popular free outfit "Gothic Doll", published it on October 20, 2024.
On the head go a lace headdress and the horns; on the feet, tights and strapped shoes with ribbons, with roses at the ankles too. Take off the jacket and you're in a blouse with voluminous sleeves, leaving the devil only in the horns.
Six colorways include a black jacket with a red skirt, all deep green or all red, and white with deep-green accents. It fits the presence of the horns and the elegance of velour and lace into one outfit. Support covers ten avatars including Manuka, Moe, Shinano, Airi, Rurune and Lunalit. ¥1,800 single, ¥3,500 full set.
Devilcat Sailor / fumitiki shop
An oversized black sailor outfit layered with an eyepatch, adhesive bandages and torn tights, accompanied by a devil-cat plushie holding a trident. It was published on December 30, 2024, right at the end of the year.
The one with horns isn't the wearer, but the plushie in your arms. In the sample shots set against a red full moon and bats, too, the devil cat holds its trident and takes on the uneasy mood of the sailor outfit. A standalone Prefab for holding just the plushie is included, so you can hand it to other outfits as well.
Colorways come in three dark ones — black × red, black × purple and black × white — and four pale ones — white × lavender, light blue, white × pink and pink — so it can lean toward yami-kawaii (dark cute) or yume-kawaii. Support covers ten avatars including Rurune, Ririka, Shinano, Manuka, Kipfel and Milfy, with an upload size of 5MB. ¥1,200 single, ¥3,000 full pack.

Vampires — Wings, Eyes and the Neck
Vampires count 13 by keyword and 17 by taste. That's about level with witches, but what set vampires apart was how they spread beyond outfits to textures you add to the eyes and the neck. Change your clothes, change your eyes, add bite marks: it's a subject with three entrances.
Dresses with wings and roses
Two black dresses with bat wings on the back were published at nearly the same time. The difference lay in how the wings and accessories move.
ヴァンパイアスカーレット / #あいかわらぼ /AikawaLabo
A vampire outfit: a black lolita dress scattered with deep-red roses on the skirt, sleeves and boots, with bat wings and a parasol whose handle is a cross. It's by AikawaLabo, the creator behind the popular outfit "ストレイキングキャット".
The wings' flapping is controlled from the Expressions menu, and you can stop and lock them in any shape you like. Spread and frozen, or folded as you stand: you choose per photo. The parasol appears with a spinning animation when called up from the menu. Grab the cross handle and move it, and it opens or closes, and it can be locked in place that way too.
On the head sits a silver crown with red roses and a black ribbon, and thorny rose vines wrap around the legs. Four colorways: a black dress with red or blue roses, and a white dress with blue or pink roses. Spread the wings and open the parasol, and a vampire's signature pose is ready to shoot. Support covers nine avatars — Kikyo, Manuka, Moe, Selestia, Shinano, Chiffon, Lime, Chocolat and Oushama. ¥1,500 single, ¥4,000 full set.
Gothic Vampire / Pavillion(パビリオン)
A black vampire-motif dress pairing a lace-up corset and a three-tier frilled skirt with off-shoulder bell sleeves and bat wings. Pavillion published it in October 2024.
The choker is shaped like a bat set with a red gem, and the wings shade from black on the outside to red on the inside. On the feet go platform lace-up boots draped with chains. A removable petticoat is built in under the skirt as a separate part, so nothing shows even at mini length.
Four colorways: all black, all white, all wine red, and a wine-red top with a black skirt, with the boots in black or white. In October 2025, a year after it was published, Milfy and Chiffon were added, bringing support to ten avatars. The outfit is △60,782. ¥1,800 single, ¥3,800 full set.
Vampires for male avatars too
Ebon_Feast / cherry neru
A gothic outfit combining curled, ram-like horns and a tiara, chained bat wings, a puff-sleeved blouse and a vest with a split hem. It's by cherry neru, the same creator as Arcane_Veil in the witch chapter, published in December 2024. It collected the fifth-most likes of all 262.
This outfit also supports two male avatars, including Komano. The vest, its back hem long and split like tails, and the black cravat at the chest hung with a red gem and a cross keep their shape on a male body too. On female avatars it becomes shorts with thigh-high stockings, so one outfit gives you a matching pair of male and female vampires.
The stripes on the vest and pants and the lace pattern in the wing membranes can be turned off, for a cleaner look. Colorway samples run to 20, from black- or white-based to bright shades like pink, mint and light blue. Support covers 14 avatars: 12 female avatars including Shinano, Airi, Manuka, Moe, Kikyo and Rurune, plus two male avatars. ¥1,100 single, ¥2,250 full set.
Eyes and the neck
Two pieces that bring you closer to a vampire through just parts of the face and body, with no outfit change.
Twilight eye texture / halo-by
A vampire-style eye texture with a red shimmer swirling around a vertical slit pupil. Published on October 25, 2024, it collected the eighth-most likes of all 262, the most of anything that isn't an outfit.
The eyes come in 16 colors, and each one comes with an emission texture. Even in colors other than red, you can make just the eyes glow in dark places. Put it on an avatar with fangs, and that alone gives you a vampire's gaze.
It's applied by layering the PNG onto your avatar's face texture in image-editing software. This product page covers 11 avatars, including Shinano, Manuka, Airi, Rurune, Moe, Shinra and Komano, at ¥300 single or ¥700 for the full set, with other avatars on separate pages. Across the series, 24 avatars are supported.
Bite Me / hiMItsU
A body texture that adds bite marks to the neck or hands. It includes 16 wounds of varying intensity, from a faint ring of tooth marks to red, swollen marks and two fang punctures with blood trickling down.
Each wound is a separate image, so you can pick just the tooth marks with no blood. For supported avatars there are eight presets that line up just by layering onto the body texture, plus PSD and clip files with every wound in position. Add one bite mark at the neck of a vampire outfit, and you can shoot the moment after meeting a vampire, too.
Support covers 16 avatars including Komano, Hanka, Manuka, Milltina, Shinano, Rurune, Milfy and Kanata. ¥600 single, ¥2,000 for the full set of 16.

Ghosts and Horror — from Cute to Scary
The top keyword across all 262 is "ghost" at 44, and adding two more ghost-related keywords at 16 and 14 makes it the most common subject of Halloween. The "horror" taste, meanwhile, nearly doubled, from 46 in 2023 to 81. From a cute ghost under a sheet to a Red Riding Hood spattered with blood, this chapter is about the range of how scary you choose to be.
Ghosts for everyone
When you line up with friends in the same costume, the biggest hurdle is whether it supports everyone's avatar.
HAPPY GHOST / ぬんぬん製作所
A ghost outfit that looks like a white sheet thrown over your head, with a face drawn on it. ぬんぬん製作所, the creator behind the popular outfit "Classical Maid" with support for 282 avatars, put it out as the first piece of its "2024Halloween" series.
It supports 226 avatars. Rather than rebuilding the weights for each avatar, it uses "semi-support": Prefabs positioned and shaped in Unity for every one of them, with shape keys for adjustment. A single ¥800 purchase lets you start by putting it on whichever of your avatars you like.
The face on the chest comes in eight variations, including a jack-o'-lantern-style stitched grin, a jagged mouth, an angry face and a winking face. Same ghost, different faces, so you can tell who's who even when lined up with friends. With one mesh and one material at △6,236, it's light enough to bring into big gatherings.
Ghostly down to the walk
Two outfits went beyond changing the look and replaced even the way you move with a ghost's. In VRChat, the movements you make while walking or standing still are set by an avatar setting called "locomotion." Swap it out, and the same controls make you drift forward without moving your feet.
Desolated Static / SmOS
A "ghost swallowed by TV static": chains wrapped around the whole body and torn sleeves glowing pale blue. It comes with its own locomotion, "Ghost Locomotion".
Install Ghost Locomotion and the walking, running and standing animations are all replaced: with your legs lifted off the floor, you lean and glide through the air. There are eight idle poses too. Shackles, a ball and chain, rabbit ears with flame-like tips glowing blue, and a black blindfold are included, making a cold, unsettling ghost on the opposite side from the cute ones.
One colorway: white and black with pale-blue light. Support covers eight avatars — Airi, Selestia, Manuka, Mizuki, Moe, Rurune, Shinano and Veil — with the outfit at △56,082. ¥1,800 single, ¥5,500 full package.
Horrabbit / しまんち
A "bunny-eared ghost" outfit made from a hood with rabbit ears and a long-sleeved poncho. The hood has button eyes and an ×-shaped patch sewn on, and in your hand you carry a lantern shaped like a white rabbit's face.
This outfit includes its own locomotion too: as you move, you bend your knees, lift your feet and bob gently up and down as you go. On a small avatar, it becomes a figure drifting along with its feet floating below the poncho hem.
Six colors — light purple, pink, mustard, navy, black and light blue — each with a different lining color at the cuffs. Support covers 17 avatars, from Mamefriends such as Mamehinata and Kipfel to Moe, Chiffon, Rurune and MARUBODY. ¥1,500 single, ¥3,500 full set, and in October 2025 an option for the rabbit lantern alone at ¥500 was added.
Two plague doctors
The plague doctor, known for its long-beaked mask, is one of the costume staples. In 2024, two outfits on the same subject were finished in different directions.
Plague doctor「疫病の医者」 / Dea
A long, double-breasted military-style coat with gold buttons and gold chains, paired with a long-beaked plague doctor mask and a cane topped with a crow's head. Published in August 2024, it collected the tenth-most likes of all 262.
What sets it apart is that it supports both male and female avatars. Support reaches 16, from male avatars like Minase, Komano, Demian and Kuuta to Manuka, Sio, Chiffon, Rurune, Moe, Shinano and Kipfel; male avatars wear it with long pants, female avatars with shorts and long boots. It comes in black and white, so line up black and white for a pair or group of plague doctors.
The coat hem is torn into jagged points, the gloves have silver claws, and a ring with a red stone sits on one finger. The samples show the mask both on the face and hung on the back of the head, and with the mask off it also works as a military-style look. ¥1,800 single, ¥3,500 full pack.
Plague Doctor Suit / #Relee
A suit of a floor-length coat, vest, necktie and fedora, with a riveted plague doctor mask. It's by #Relee, the creator behind the popular outfit "Common Days".
Next to Dea's military-style piece, this one leans toward a restrained gentleman's suit. The mask has an animation of your hand taking it off and putting it on, so a single photo can move between your bare face and the masked one. A holder lined with vials of red liquid hangs from the belt, adding the air of a doctor you might not want to trust.
The colors are black and white, and samples show the coat, vest and pants mixed between the two. Move the avatar's chest shape key and the outfit's chest follows automatically. Support covers six avatars — Shinano, Airi, Manuka, Moe, Shinra and Selestia. ¥1,790 single, ¥3,990 full pack.
Blood and stitches
Much of what doubled horror was blood, wounds and stitches. Some are drawn into the outfits; others are textures layered onto the skin.
ブラッディバニー / CYCR (Cyber Critter)
A blood-spattered white corset-style mini dress, with a furry bunny-eared hat and a black rabbit plushie backpack covered in stitches and safety pins. It's by CYCR, the creator behind the outfit-with-hairstyle "Midnight Fox 2.0".
This outfit's signature is its many props: a blood transfusion bag, a scalpel, a syringe and a bloodstained eyepatch. Adhesive bandages and wraps layer on too, so just wearing it sets up a scene like "a rabbit that escaped from the hospital." The blood is drawn in an anime style, and the whole thing leans yami-kawaii.
Seven colors: white × black, light blue, purple × black, white × red, beige × brown, pink and red × black. White makes the red of the blood stand out; pink or light blue bring the cuteness forward. The skirt has colliders so the legs are less likely to poke through the fabric. Support covers 12 avatars including Shinano, Airi, Manuka, Moe, Kikyo, Selestia and Maya. ¥1,600 single, ¥3,100 for the 12-avatar set.
ButcherScarlet / Dollit
A horror-leaning Red Riding Hood: a hooded cape and a tiered-frill dress, with a wolf plushie pochette and a big saw. The description opens with "A cute Red Riding Hood has come for Halloween" and goes on, "And the wolf... where could it be?"
The key is the Blood Mask, a mask that layers blood-spatter patterns over the clothes and tights, in any color you choose. Red looks raw, pink, green or yellow go pop, and without it she's an ordinary cute Red Riding Hood. It's built so that the wearer decides how scary it gets.
There are eight colorways: classic red, teal, gray × navy, white × gray, pink, lavender, a yume-kawaii-leaning pastel yellow with pink and light blue, and an orange × black Halloween colorway with bats, spiderwebs and pumpkins printed on the cape. Support covers nine avatars including Shinano, Sio, Manuka, Kikyo, Selestia, Moe, Chiffon and Kipfel. ¥1,800 single, ¥3,400 full pack.
ハロウィンテクスチャ【ボディスティッチ&返り血】 / 33SHOP
A body texture that layers stitched scars and spattered blood onto the face and body. The sutures are red wound lines with black ×-shaped stitches, crossing the cheeks, neck, stomach, arms and legs.
The sutures and the blood spatter come as separate files, so you can use them three ways: stitches alone for a Frankenstein-like look, blood alone, or both layered together. The sutures come with a normal map as well, so they can be shaded as raised stitches rather than a flat drawing.
Support covers seven avatars — Manuka, Shinano, Airi, Sio, Shinra, Minase and Komano — including the male avatars Minase and Komano. ¥500 single, ¥1,300 full pack.
ハロウィンメイク Bloody / Saku39
A makeup texture that adds "×××" stitches under the eyes, a sewn-up mouth, blood dripping from the corners of the mouth and cuts on the cheeks. The first line of the description reads "This makeup is blood makeup only," and no eye makeup or lipstick is included.
That's exactly why you can keep your usual makeup and add just the blood and stitches on top. The texture is split into parts, so you can use only the × marks under the eyes or only the stitches at the mouth. The blood is anime-style and modest in amount.
Support covers eight avatars — Shinano, Manuka, Sio, Airi, Milfy, Ririka, Milltina and Chiffon. ¥200 single, and only ¥400 even for the 8-avatar set.

Jiangshi — Talismans and Long Sleeves
The "jiangshi" keyword (the hopping corpse of Chinese folklore) counts 10, and among garment types, China dresses also count 10. With a talisman on the forehead and long sleeves that hide the hands stretched out in front, the jiangshi has signs so clear that its character comes from what you cross it with. In 2024, five outfits lined up with different combinations: crossing it with a cat, letting it return to everyday wear, turning it into a ramen delivery.
Cat spirits and jiangshi
Two outfits crossing cats and jiangshi were published in late October 2024.
幽冥幻猫 -Cat Jiangshi- / ANMNMM
A "cat-spirit jiangshi" outfit: a cat-eared jiangshi hat hung with a talisman, a Chinese-style top in red damask with wide-cuffed long sleeves, and a black tail wrapped in bandages. The description says "it can also be used for China-style edits," so it's made with use beyond Halloween in mind.
Below the waist you choose between two options: a black tiered-frill skirt or wide pants. The skirt goes cute, like a cat spirit; the pants make a kung-fu-leaning, easy-moving look that also suits male avatars more readily.
The breadth of support is another of this outfit's features. Starting with Kikyo, Manuka, Chiffon, Kipfel and Mamehinata, it spread to male avatars like Kuuta, Komano and Kanata, and on to Luka and Mochi Doll: 19 avatars over roughly a year after it was published. Colors change via PSD, with samples in pink, purple, blue, light blue, green, black and white besides red. ¥1,800 single, ¥4,000 full pack.
猫幽使 -Byoyushi- / ciroro
A cat × jiangshi outfit for boyish avatars: a white cat-eared hat hung with a talisman, a cloud-patterned apron panel, wide-cuffed long sleeves and a white muffler covering the neck. The description opens with a single line: "I made a cat × jiangshi outfit for Halloween."
Support covers six avatars — +Head, Bokusei, Karne, Kuuta, Lunato and Stracciatella — making it a jiangshi aimed at boy and male avatars. From a prayer-bead-like necklace and a decoratively knotted sash to bandaged legs, it carefully hits the signs, while cat ears and a tail add a little sweetness.
The outfit is △34,398 with a single material. Sample colorways come in five — red, purple, black × teal, blue and pink — and a recolor material is included. ¥1,200 single, ¥3,000 full set.
Back to an everyday China dress
Two outfits that become everyday wear once you take off the hat and talisman.
幽月キョンシー / VAlice
A jiangshi outfit pairing hand-hiding sleeves long enough to nearly reach the floor with a slit, mini-length China dress and thigh-high boots. VAlice, the creator behind the popular outfit "at2am.", put it out saying it was "made for Halloween, but it can also be worn as an everyday China dress."
Let the long sleeves hang forward and you've made the jiangshi's arm pose just like that. The talisman comes with a texture that has no writing on it, so you can write whatever you like in image editing and make a talisman of your own.
Modular Avatar's Shape Changer is set up, so the body shape adjusts automatically when dressed, and the chest size follows the body too. Seven colors: purple, red, blue, white × teal, pink, white and black. Support covers 17 avatars including Airi, Kikyo, Shinano, Manuka, Rurune and MARUBODY 2.0, at △49,564 in total. ¥1,700 single, ¥4,000 full pack.
GOTHCHINA / BLUESTELLA
An outfit built from a wide-sleeved Chinese-style jacket with patterned panels on black, gathered balloon pants and a jiangshi hat with a talisman. BLUESTELLA brought clothes from the real-world apparel shop Deorart into 3D as the sixth collaboration with that shop.
It includes two styles: jiangshi and everyday. Take off the hat and it works as a street-style China jacket with bold patterned panels. The boots have red Chinese knot buttons and translucent amber heels, and a white ghost cat, "NecoLa", floats softly by the shoulder.
The jacket's patterned panels come in blue, red and purple families, and the talisman comes in two designs: a modern one on black and a traditional red-on-yellow one. Male avatars such as Minase, Kuuta and Kanata appear among the supported avatars, and in October 2025 even the puma Pumachan joined. ¥2,200 single, ¥4,000 full set.
A jiangshi on delivery
らーめんキョンシー「ゆめかわトンコツ」 / ちよ屋 _chiyoya3D
A "ramen-loving jiangshi" outfit: an oversized track jacket with a talisman hat, roller skates and an okamochi (a takeout delivery box) on the back. It shifts the jiangshi over into a ramen shop's delivery runner.
The okamochi's lid opens, with ramen on the middle tier and gyoza on the top. Both can be grabbed and taken out with PhysBones, so you can open the box in front of friends and play all the way to handing over a bowl of ramen. The talisman, the jacket zipper and the bandages are set to sway too.
Colorways run to nine in the parts list, from yume-kawaii light blue × white and lavender × white to black × red and black × blue. Support covers 17 avatars, including Shinano, Airi, Manuka and Kikyo plus the small bodies of Kipfel and Mamehinata. ¥1,500 single, ¥3,000 full pack, and the full pack also covers avatars supported in the future.

Halloween for Small Avatars
The "chibi avatar" keyword counts 11, up from 4 when counting 2023 under the same conditions. Small avatars like Mamehinata and Kipfel share a common body standard from the neck down (Mamefriends), so one outfit can be worn widely across the series. WiccaMaid, Horrabbit and the ramen jiangshi in earlier chapters already supported small bodies, but this chapter gathers costumes made for Mamefriends.
Costumes for Mamefriends
Witch, vampire, prisoner: three outfits on three different subjects.
ゴーストキャンディ / 小魚堂_kozakanado
A ghost dress whose hem ripples as if melting, sewn with lots of candy and ribbons, paired with a big witch hat with a curled tip. In the description's own words it's "a witch outfit with lots of candy and ribbons sewn on," bringing ghost, witch and sweets together in one outfit.
Pairing a big, wide-brimmed hat with a short-proportioned body gives even a small avatar a silhouette that reads as a witch from a distance. An update three days after it was published added a swirl lollipop you can bring out and put away in your hand. Wear the hat's ornaments on the head without the hat and they look like a flower crown; float the hat's ribbon loop above the head and it looks like a halo.
Five colors — orange, purple, white, red and pale — with the candy in five colors too. The hat is △15,901 and the dress △29,903. It's been tested on Mamehinata and Kipfel. ¥2,000.
Blood Nurse / Limeade Stand
A "vampire nurse" outfit: an aproned nurse dress with bat wings added to the nurse cap, the chest and the legs. The name says "Blood," but no blood is depicted; it's a vampire put together on the cute side.
The apron carries heart and cross ornaments, and in your arms you hold a teddy bear with an eyepatch and bandages. It's just the right size for a small avatar to hug with both arms, and the teddy bear is also given away as a free option. Even without buying the outfit, you can have your avatar hold just the bear.
Color-variation textures come in six: purple, pink, black × white, light blue, wine red and black. Support covers Kipfel and Mamehinata, with the outfit at ¥1,200.
Prisonyar punk -ぷりずにゃーぱんく- / NERUZine
A punk outfit wrapped in spiked shackles and chains, with a black cat plushie, "Otomo Cat," riding on your head. The theme is "a prisoner accompanied by a black familiar (a kitty)," and among the mostly soft, cute outfits for Mamefriends, this one goes all the way to the edgy side.
Otomo Cat has PhysBones through its whole body and wobbles about on top of your head. The outfit with the cat, the outfit without the cat and a Prefab of the cat alone are all separate, so you can put just the familiar on the head of another outfit. In February 2025, a version with the cat floating in the air was added. The bat wings on the shoes flap with an animation.
The outfit is △53,400 and Otomo Cat △16,464, built for the Mamefriends body. ¥1,800.
Adding to clothes you already own
Tiny_devil~こあくませっと~ / MT47
A little-devil set for Mamehinata and Kipfel — a halo, small horns, bat wings for the head and back, and a heart-tipped tail — given away for free. The description says "I made it because I want to see little-devil edits on Mamefriends," and it was published in December 2024.
No clothes are included, so you become a little devil just by layering it over an outfit you already have. PhysBones and Modular Avatar are set up; the back wings and tail sway, and position and size adjust with shape keys. Two colorways: black wings with a gold halo, and white-to-light-blue wings with a blue halo. Pick white and it can read as angelic, too. △9,549, free (a support edition with identical contents is ¥150).

Accessories — Bone Arms, Spiked Halos, Pumpkin Heads
Accessories count 61, second only to the 117 outfits. In the aggregation, wings at 19, horns at 18 and devil wings at 17 sit near the top: things that add "non-human parts" to the body. Without changing your whole outfit, adding one thing to your back or above your head makes a costume. Halloween accessories have both that ease and the boldness of adding body parts people don't have.
On the back and above the head
Adding arms, floating a halo, having a veil carried for you. Three pieces that spread out beyond the body.
Curse Skeleton / #MochiRabbit /もちうさぎ
An accessory that lets you grow mirror-bright bone arms as a second pair of arms, wherever you like. It takes the form of a choker with one bone arm on each side, and the description pitches it as "recommended for Halloween edits too!!!"
VRChat avatars normally only have their own two arms. These bone arms have bones running all the way through them, so Modular Avatar can build them into your avatar as sub-arms (additional arms). Several reaching out from the back, or held up in front of the face from behind the shoulders: the placement is yours to decide.
An update in November 2024 added a skull mask and bloody tears, plus six more materials, so you can now choose finishes from pearly white to black, gold and iridescent. The default placement is fitted to Manuka, but with position adjustment it can go on other avatars too. ¥1,200.
NYX HALO / #MochiRabbit /もちうさぎ
A three-piece set: a mirror-finish spiked halo with bat wings above the head, a spiked ornament that follows the head, and small spiked ornaments for the eyes. It's from #MochiRabbit, the same creator as Curse Skeleton, put out as "perfect for Halloween edits."
An angel's halo with bat wings turns the space above the head, the head itself and the eyes into something like a fallen angel all at once. The ring's surface is a mirror finish with an iridescent shimmer. The three parts are separate, so you can use just the halo or just the eye ornaments. The default placement is fitted to Manuka; change the size and position and it goes on other avatars too. ¥480.
バードベール / Bird Veil / だまこや
A veil lifted by small birds floating on either side, holding the ends of the lace in their beaks as it circles from behind the avatar around both sides. It includes a bird version, white lace with blue birds, and a Halloween-ready bat version, black lace with black bats.
The bat version comes with a flapping animation and swaying wings. Since the veil circles your body, it puts a little distance between you and anyone coming close, working as a gentle wall.
It isn't made for a specific avatar: place the Prefab directly under your avatar and match the position and size. The white birds for any season, the black bats for Halloween: one product, two uses. ¥600.
Wear it, grow it
Something worn on the head, something grown from the body. All three are free.
Baphomet / BLVK
A free accessory that renders in 3D the skull of a goat with large curled horns (Baphomet). The description is short — "It's a Baphomet skull; please use it for Halloween edits and the like" — leaving how to use it up to the wearer.
The samples show three finishes: bone white with black horns, black mirror and silver mirror. White gives the feel of old bone; black or silver look like a metal ornament, so the same shape changes a lot in impression. Wear it on the head or shoulder, or hold it as a photo prop: how you use it is up to you. △10,928, free.
ハロウィンテンタクルゥ / t-shop
An accessory built on a single tentacle as its unit: combine as many as you like, in whatever shape, and grow them from your body. It's made to attach to almost any avatar, and the free version includes one tentacle.
Duplicate and arrange the tentacle to add as many as you want, with shape, size and length changeable through shape keys. The sway comes from PhysBones, and several reaching out from behind the waist make a costume of a creature that isn't human. For anyone who wants to skip the assembly or support the creator, a paid EX version includes two Prefabs combining seven tentacles, and materials that glow green and pink. The creator writes that "even the free version can make it if you combine tentacles," so the free version alone gets you to the same shape.
Pumpkin Head! / Lielii
A jack-o'-lantern pumpkin head that fits right over your head, given away for free. Lielii published it on October 30, 2024, the day before Halloween, noting it was made on a whim.
The drawback of headgear is that it hides your face and expressions, but this pumpkin lets you change the shape of the eyes and mouth with shape keys. From a big smile to a wink to a deadpan look, the pumpkin's expression carries your mood. An emissive material that lights up the inside is included too, so in a dark world only the eyes and mouth float up in yellow.
It's built to work on every avatar, and the free version includes the PSD, every material and even Prefabs for each avatar shown in the photos. △1,874. Free (with a ¥200 support option).

Candy and Ghosts — Party Props
From 20 props, 13 gimmicks and 3 worlds, I gathered six pieces for spending Halloween night with someone. By keyword, "sweets" counts 9, "candy" 8 and "pet" 8. If outfits change how you look, the pieces in this chapter create exchanges with other people.
Handing out candy
Two pieces that let you actually trade "trick or treat" inside VRChat.
多機能キャンディバケット / かるみゃ糖
A hand-held candy bucket that switches between two types: a "pumpkin" with a jack-o'-lantern face, and a white "ghost." The description lists "10 functions and features," covering the full set of motions involved in giving and getting candy.
The biggest trick is that anyone can reach into the bucket and take out candy. When a friend reaches in and grabs, one of eight candies — four kinds in two colors — comes out at random. As the owner, put your free hand into the bucket, then open it and shake within two seconds to scatter candy. The bucket keeps hanging downward however you turn your hand, and turned upside down, the candy spills out.
From the menu you can also fix the bucket in the world to leave it in place, or use a light that throws a beam forward from the bucket to cast pumpkin or ghost shadow pictures on the wall. There are Prefabs for carrying in the right or left hand, and it attaches without depending on a specific avatar. ¥800.
トリックパンプキンキャノン / U Shop
A gimmick where you pull out a pumpkin candy pail with a jack-o'-lantern face, take candy out of it, or crush it with both hands to fire a big candy. It was published for free on October 28, 2024, just before Halloween.
Take candy out and hand it over for "treat," or crush the pumpkin with both hands and shoot candy for "trick": one prop plays both halves of Halloween's catchphrase. It supports Modular Avatar and installs by drag and drop. △3,088 overall. Free (a support edition with identical contents is ¥300).
Ghosts that follow you around
Two ghosts that float near your avatar and follow along made the upper ranks.
追従おばけちゃん / かるみゃ糖
An expressive white ghost that floats along behind you, laughs when petted and tries to flee in a panic when grabbed. It's by かるみゃ糖, the same creator as the candy bucket, published in September 2024.
The reactions come back no matter who around you touches it, not just the owner. Pat its head and it smiles happily; grab it anywhere and it flails both hands with a flustered face. Now and then it does a vertical somersault with a mischievous look. The faster you move, the more its body stretches, so you can see it chasing after you.
An update on October 14 added large and small pumpkins to its head accessories, and a "candy mode" where the ghost brings out candy for anyone to hold. From the menu you can also use a glowing orb to light up the surroundings. A year-round pet with Halloween play added later. ¥1,000.
ねこのおばけ 浮遊ペット / 白昼夢
A pet: a white-sheet ghost with cat ears and a tail that floats beside your avatar and follows along. Its face is simple, just black dot eyes.
Place it directly under your avatar and move it to where you want it to float, and that becomes its spot as it follows you. You can grab the body, the little hands and the tail, and the tail stretches a long way. It can be brought out and put away from the menu, or displayed as an ornament. Float one beside your shoulder and any outfit picks up a small touch of Halloween. ¥300.
Magic and a tea party
A witch's wand, and world props for a Halloween tea party.
LuminousGardenWand / おもちやさん
A magic wand with a lantern-like head that scatters particles of light and petals as you swing it. It was made for a "flower sorceress" in a collaboration with an outfit, and its description notes "I've also prepared Halloween colors perfect for the season!"
There are six particle types: light, sparkles, flying petals, floating petals, candy, and Halloween particles shaped like pumpkins, bats and ghosts. Modular Avatar setup is done, and on/off toggles for each are added to the menu automatically. Turn on the light and you can brighten even a dark Halloween world.
The wand comes in six colors and the petals in seven. Pair it with an outfit from the witch chapter and a costume photo becomes "a photo of using magic." ¥1,200.
ハロウィンティーパーティー(17点) / IKA 3DCG art studio
A Halloween tea-party set for worlds, with 17 pieces including a pumpkin teapot and cups, ghost teabags, a pudding you can scoop and eat, and picture frames with moving art.
Pick up the teapot, tilt it and pour into a cup with a ghost teabag, and tea is made, with steam rising in the shape of a ghost. Hold the cup and pull the trigger, and the tea goes down little by little; when it's empty, you can pour again. Dip the spoon into the pudding to scoop it, then hold the spoon and pull the trigger, and the scooped portion disappears.
On the walls you can hang a storybook frame whose picture moves and four frames whose pictures sway. Plates painted with spiderwebs and bats on black and white ceramic pumpkin ornaments are included too, so one corner of a world can become a tea-party room as is. Using the gimmicks requires the world project. ¥2,000.

Avatars and Hairstyles — Becoming the Ghost Itself
Avatars counted 14 and hairstyles 4. Rather than adding a costume through outfits or accessories, here are avatars made as ghosts themselves, plus a hairstyle to go with a witch look, three pieces in all.
Ghosts without bodies
Both are avatars where the menu or shape keys let you build a ghostly figure.
おばけのギーギ / AtelierYuiki
An avatar of a bodiless ghost girl: a burning candle in place of a head, with only a lace dress floating in the air. The description is a single line, "A ghost girl who drifts softly," and it was published in December 2024.
In place of a face, the shape of the candle flame changes to show her feelings. The flame turns into stars, "!" and "?", hearts, explosions, a small light and more, and lip sync is done with the flame too. The body floats, and the feet visible beneath the dress hem sway softly with PhysBones. With full-body tracking, you can switch to a mode that lets you pose freely while staying afloat.
Samples show the dress in blue lace with blue roses and in pink lace with red roses. Polygons are △4,513 for the candle and △62,070 for the outfit, △66,583 in total. PC only, ¥3,500.
冥音-めいおん- / さーくるどろーいんぐ
A cat avatar styled as a "maid of the underworld": a black cat hood, a fluffy furisode (long-sleeved kimono) and a Japanese-style maid apron. As the name suggests — a pun on meido, the Japanese word for the underworld, and "maid" — switching outfits turns it into a legless "ghost mode".
From the outfit-switch menu, you choose the full kit with cat hood and furisode, a sleeveless maid look with the hood and furisode removed, or ghost mode, where a white, tail-like lower body replaces the legs. Ghost mode works even with three-point tracking, moving only your hands and head. The cat hood can go up or down, and the eyes and mouth on the hood change into × marks or arcs to match your expression.
You can use it day to day as a cat-hooded Japanese maid and become a ghost only for Halloween. Both PC and Quest versions are included, along with a MochiFitter profile. A bonus texture in another colorway is bundled too. ¥3,000.
Witch hair
Witch's Conch / SOUR FLAVOR
A witch-themed twin-drill hairstyle with thick ringlets hanging on both sides. The top image shows it worn with a black witch hat and a frilled dress, and the description also introduces "WiccaMaid" from the witch chapter.
The hair is split into bangs, sides and twin tails, and the length of each, plus the size of the ahoge (the stray strand on top) or whether it's there at all, changes with shape keys. The bangs' part can go left or right. Change the ringlet length and the same hair can lean from a witch-hat costume toward everyday lolita clothes.
Eight colors: blonde, pink, light blue, light brown, lavender, beige, black and white. Support covers 11 avatars including Manuka, Moe, Sio, Chiffon, Shinano, Chocolat, Airi, Milltina, Ichigo and Rurune. ¥1,000.

Halloween 2024 from a Creator's Angle
That's 49 picks. To close, here are the numbers worth having when you think about what to make next Halloween, set against the 2023 items (counted under the same conditions).
| Metric | 2024 | 2023 (same conditions) |
|---|---|---|
| Total "Halloween"-tagged items | 262 | 205 |
| Publishing peak | 169 in October (about 76% across Sep–Oct) | 124 in October |
| Top keyword | Ghost, 44 | Ghost, 36 |

| "Horror" taste | 81 | 46 |
| "Chibi avatar" keyword | 11 | 4 |
Price Distribution
Price bucket distribution for products in this theme during the period.
By price, ¥1,000–1,999 holds the most at 92, while ¥500–999 has 72, ¥1–499 has 38, and 36 can be had for ¥0. The bands under ¥1,000 add up to 146, more than half the total. It's a distribution typical of Halloween, with a lower share of outfits and many accessories, textures and props.
Top 10 Outfit Types
Outfit types bundled with these products.
By garment type, boots at 36, dresses at 30 and one-pieces at 26 lead, followed by shapes that cinch the body's line: bodysuits at 17, corsets at 16 and gothic dresses at 12. China dresses reaching 10 is the result of jiangshi costumes adding up.
Notes from a creator's angle:
-
Turning not just the look but the behavior into a costume — a witch who travels by broom, a witch who summons a magic circle with a hand sign, a ghost that drifts with its legs lifted, a parasol that opens when grabbed. The top pieces of 2024 built how the wearer moves into the outfit. Costumes were made not only to be photographed, but to last the whole time you walk around a world.
-
Horror doubled, but in a form where you choose how scary — the "horror" taste went from 46 to 81. At the top, what stood out were designs where the wearer decides the amount of scary: a Red Riding Hood whose blood color changes, a texture with sutures and blood spatter split apart, makeup that layers on only blood. The same product serves both people who want a scary costume and people who want to keep it moderate.
-
Under ¥1,000 is more than half — 146 of the 262 cost under ¥1,000, and the year's #1 was a ¥750 hoodie. Products you just throw on, attach or pull over your head are plentiful, and Halloween is built as an event you can join by adding one thing to what you already wear. The ¥200 succubus accessories and the free hat and pumpkin head ranking high are signs of that.
-
Mechanisms that don't move alone — a bucket anyone can reach into for candy, a ghost that laughs whoever pets it, a sheet that fits 226 avatars. Halloween as a time for trading candy and dressing up together took shape as gimmicks that only move when someone else is there.
-
Kept up for the next Halloween — Trick or Treat? added supported avatars on October 31, 2025, Gothic Vampire in October 2025, and Cat Jiangshi expanded to 19 avatars over a year. Halloween outfits might seem to get their turn only once a year, but they've become products that get worked on again the following October, in step with an event that comes back every year.
Wrapping Up
If I had to sum up Halloween 2024 in one phrase, it was the year that widened costumes from "something to wear" to "something to play with." Flying on a broom, walking as if drifting, handing over candy, walking around with a ghost that laughs when petted. You can get the look right with clothes you already have, but the top pieces went further, building into the product the very time you spend in VRChat on Halloween night.
At the same time, Halloween outfits weren't "clothes for one day." Take off the jiangshi hat and it's an everyday China dress; the cat-hooded maid switches ghost mode on and off and works all year round. Most emblematic of all, Trick or Treat?, the outfit that swaps witch and maid, gained new avatar support on October 31, exactly one year after it was published. Each time October 31 comes around, creators keep working on their pieces so that last year's costume can be worn again. When you're thinking about what to make next Halloween — and what to wear, and who to spend it with — there should be a clue somewhere in these 262.

About the data
- Aggregated: 2026-10-21
- Scope: items published between 2024-01-01 and 2024-12-31 that carry the "Halloween" tag in VRCFinder's aggregation (262 items)
- Ordering and selection: this is not a straight like-count ranking. Each subject mixes the most-liked staples with items that stood out as ideas. Because the Halloween tag is also applied to year-round motifs such as devils, vampires and gothic styles, items with little connection to Halloween were left out of the selection
- Comparison with 2023: the 2023 figures come from re-aggregating the items published in 2023 under the same conditions as 2024
- Inclusion: VRCFinder's database only collects items with 300 or more likes, so anything below that threshold at aggregation time is not represented here
- Note: the figures and like counts in this article are a snapshot from the aggregation date and do not reflect later changes. "Published" refers to when the Booth product page went live, which can differ from when the item actually went on sale
- Specs and prices come from the Booth product pages as of writing. Sale prices and updates change, so please check the Booth page before buying
